Vehicle is being offered at absolute auction with no reserve price. Vehicle was donated for sale to benefit a local Austin area charity. We have found in the past that eBay generally brings the proper market price, without needing a reserve. Top bidder will win the auction, no games. Please view our feedback section for a sample of the vehicles we have sold in the past. We've sold several nice vehicles of this caliber, all with exceptionally positive feedback. We are here to provide great customer service and a great item, honestly described to the best of our ability and knowledge. Our feedback speaks for itself!.

This is a 2006 model Honda Insight , the odometer is 88345 miles , the car is a Texas RUST free car , looks and runs fine with a good clean interior , nothing torn or worn out , the a/c is cold and the gas engine runs great as well as the 5 spd transmission which shifts smooth the way should be , the clutch feels good with no issue . how ever the IMA light is on and not functioning and the car runs only on the gas power, it seems the battery for the electric motor should be repair or replaced or  something related to the battery charging system, otherwise car runs fine on the gas engine  with no issue . the exterior and interior is in great condition and do not even show any signs of repair in the past ,however it has rebuilt BLUE Texas title.
Please see Title section below for specifics regarding title transfer to you. It's an easy process and title is in our possession and ownership and ready to be transferred to you. Texas bidders, please contact us before bidding! We need to speak regarding taxes, fees and registration procedures, if you are registering the car in Texas, there are fees for title, license and taxes as well as documentary and inventory fees . So, please contact us first so we can talk - We are willing to try and find a way to make everyone happy.

BIDDING TERMS: If you have a zero feedback score, we ask that you email us PRIOR to bidding to introduce yourself. We do this simply because we have had experiences with less-than-forthright bidders who disappear after the auction is over, which only causes frustration and raises the bid on our real, human bidders with actual intent to complete the sale. We reserve the right to cancel bids on zero feedback bidders that do not follow through with this request.

Title:
You will be supplied with a Good blue Texas title and a bill of sale from us. Title is ready and available to either hand to you for registration in your state or possibly get temporary tags until which time you can register car in your name. Car will NOT come with license plates, so you will have to either trailer the car, or obtain insurance so you can then get a temporary license plate from the D.O.T. - Either way, all documents are in order for transfer. Again, to reiterate what we said at the top of our ad, if you are going to register the car in TEXAS, please contact us FIRST, BEFORE bidding. There may be additional fees and additional procedures. All other bidders from all other areas, title will be signed over and handed to you, so you can obtain registration in your state.

Please, please, PLEASE, read everything here so there are no surprises. We like for our sales to go as smoothly as possible, so ask questions BEFORE you bid. It is unacceptable for a buyer to show up on delivery day and be surprised about something that is clearly listed in the description. We are here to answer questions, so please ask,

Deposit and payment:
Deposit of $500 is due immediately after auction end to our PayPal account. Remainder is due within 3 days. We will not accept PayPal for the remainder, unless you cover the transfer fee. If you require a special agreement for payment, please contact us prior to bidding. Thank you.

Honda accused of not reporting all airbag problems

Fri, 17 Oct 2014

The Takata airbag recall that has afflicted a number of automakers may have just taken a very bad turn for Honda, which has already recalled over one million vehicles. Clarence Ditlow and the Center for Auto Safety have accused the Japanese manufacturer of failing to report two "injury-and-death" incidents. To determine just what happened, the company has initiated a third-party audit.
According to Bloomberg, CAS claims Honda failed to report fatalities in 2009 and 2013, a point Honda doesn't seem to contest, indicating that it didn't report so-called "verbal claims."
"It is our understanding that some manufacturers choose to include these types of verbal claims, and that these constitute the majority of the injury-and-death claims that they report to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration," the company told Bloomberg via email. "We believe this practice accounts for the vast majority of the difference between the total number of injury-and-death claims reported by Honda compared to certain other manufacturers."

Leno meets the nicest people on his bored-out Honda CB750

Tue, 08 Jul 2014

Jay Leno's Garage is back to its tried-and-true formula this week with Jay taking a close look at a seriously cool vehicle with a guest. This time he invites in Adam Gaspic from Gasser Custom to take a look at a highly customized 1975 Honda CB750.
The bike is really an amalgam of styles from different eras and various Honda parts. Its looks are inspired by '50s hot rods with its white-wall tires and satin, metallic fuel tank, but there is a little British café racer in there, as well. A digital instrument panel and LED turn signals lend an air of modernity to it, too. Mechanically, the bike rides on a modified '75 frame with the front and rear suspension from an '80s Honda. However, the pièce de résistance is its engine, bored out to 836cc with additional head work and a custom exhaust.
Once on the road, the bike really sings. It sounds just the way a classic Japanese motorcycle should with a mix of whine at high-revs with rumble down low. A cycle that mixes this many styles should probably be a mess, but this fuses it all together perfectly. Scroll down to take a look at this motorcycle mixing classic and modern in Jay Leno's Garage.
