2003 Honda Insight With Lifetime Ave. Of 62+mpg! Fun And Safe And Economical on 2040-cars

This is a very GREEN car, as it has gotten more than 62 mpg in the ten years it has been driven. This is an aluminum body with hybrid electric motor to assist the one liter 3 cylinder engine. She doesn't leak fluids, nor burn them nor leak them. There is no rust and when I bought it in July of 2012, she had a 95 rating out of 100 on the index. There are two seats with a large deck with net to hold cargo. The tires have at least 80% of their original tread and the hybrid battery has only 35,000 miles and they average more than 100,000. This car has a new clutch with less than 1,000 miles plus new vapor guard system. These two items cost more than $2.000 and were done professionally. I have another Insight and they each had a "Grid Charger", which gives them a full hybrid battery charge if it's worn down from a lot of stop and go or uphill travelling. So, the lead has been installed and is ready to be plugged into a charger. I'm not aware of any smoking in this car nor does it smell like this happened. I bought this from the original owner and it was to be my second Insight, but my wife bought a new car and I "inherited" her Volvo, so that's why I'm selling this car. We live 10 miles north of Portland Maine. I would be willing to ship the car at the new owner's expense. I'd prefer you pick it up. I would be willing to meet you at the bus, train or jet port. |

I'm senior editor Greg Migliore and this is your Autoblog Minute Weekly Recap. FCA reached a tentative labor agreement with UAW leadership. The major focus of the new deal reportedly includes: the eventual elimination of the two-tier pay scale [00:00:30] and pooling worker health care. Now that a leadership agreement is in place, the deal will be sent to FCA's rank-and-file. FCA has about 36,000 hourly employees. We got a first look at the interior and exterior of the 10th-generation Civic. Honda expects the new sedan to dominate the C-segment when it hits dealerships later this fall. Civic coupe, five-door hatchback, Si and Type R will all come later. The 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show is in the books and there was a lot of news to get excited about. [00:01:00] Porsche introduced a fully electric concept car in the Mission E. If they make this car, Porsche could give Tesla nightmares. We also saw SUVs from Jaguar and Bentley. There were two beautiful Italian convertibles from Ferrari and Lamborghini. Meanwhile, Mercedes introduced a concept of their own in the IAA - a vehicle that experiments with adaptable aerodynamics. Honda CR-V updated for 2015
Mon, 22 Sep 2014The CR-V was first introduced way back in the mid-90s, but Honda has done a good job of keeping it fresh. Now four generations in, the CR-V has been replaced every four or five years. And though the latest version just arrived on the scene a couple of years ago, Honda's giving it a refresh for the 2015 model year.
We've already spied these changes, but now, the Japanese automaker has officially released the image you see above, showing the updated 2015 CR-V with some cosmetic enhancements. The chrome bar at the bottom of the grille integrates smartly with the LEDs outlining the projector-beam headlights, capping a reshaped front bumper with new fog lamps.
Of course, the wheels and mirror caps have been redone as well, but we'll have to wait until Honda releases the full monte to see what the new CR-V looks like around back, inside and under the hood. All Honda is confirming at the moment is that the revised styling "portends the significant enhancements made to the 2015 CR-V" and that it will release further information on September 30 before the updated model goes on sale October 1, so watch this space for more.
