2003 Honda Insight CVT Hybrid with only 51k original miles! Clean Carfax! Just Serviced!

Purchased new from Dick Hannah in Vancouver, WA.
This Insight just had it’s first set of tires changed out. The factory installed set of Bridgestone proved 10 years of service. So I purchased a matching set of Bridgestone's plus I purchased road hazard from Sonsio (which is transferable) for all four tires up to 36 months. This warranty is good any where in the United States.
The hybrid battery was just replaced at the dealership as well, a new Nickel-metal hydride 144-volt battery pack was installed because the IMA light came on, it too has a transferable warranty for 36 months or three years.
The motor battery was replace in (9/2013) with a two year replacement warranty from O’Reilly’s.
The exterior is near perfect condition and shines like new! There are a few bumps and scratches from the parking garage and the grocery store. (see pictures for reference additional pictures are available upon request)
The interior is clean free of any rips, stains or odors. (see pictures for reference) This is a NON SMOKER car!
There are no warning lights!
Just serviced with 0-20 Synthetic Honda Genuine Oil. (12/2013)
Windshield was just replaced because a rock chip turned into a crack across the middle part of the glass.
I have a large folder with all the paperwork for the items listed above, plus even more misc. receipts.
We have the original window sticker to the car plus the owners manuals.
Windows have fresh tint (7/2012) on them.
Two key remotes and two spare ridge keys.

Honda helps Santa take his sled into the 21st century

Tue, Dec 23 2014

If you had put nearly 75 billion miles on your only company car, it would most likely be pleading for retirement in every rickety way it knew how. That's Santa's situation, so St. Nick heads to his not-exactly-local-at-all Honda dealer for a new sled, and the company obliges with a red rider fit for the new millennium. But Honda doesn't try to shoehorn he of the white beard into an Civic on rails. Working from Crayon sketches of safe sleighs and wanting to insure a lengthy stint on Santa's "Nice" list, the Honda reps work up a bespoke offering from a block of clay, but still give it features like a rear-view camera and a cargo bay ejector platform fitted with a parachute. You can see their gift to Santa in the video above. And for some even more far out holiday offerings from Honda, check out their Honda Days videos featuring Skeletor singing a bro hymn to He-Man, G.I. Joe serenading Gem, and Gumby and Pokey singing whatever they can think of. News Source: Honda via YouTube Honda Videos

Japan considering offering free hydrogen cars because $30k incentives apparently not enough

Wed, Aug 6 2014

There's no such thing as a free lunch. A free hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle, though? It may become a possibility in Japan, says Automotive News. We know the Japanese government is being plenty supportive of hydrogen vehicles since it will provide about $20,000 worth of incentives to prospective customers of the $69,000 vehicle. And with local governments like Toyota City's Aichi prefecture supplying another $10,000, out of pocket costs could reach less than $40,000 for the Toyota hydrogen car. We don't know for sure that the 'free' H2 car will happen, but with Toyota starting sales of its first production FCV next spring (potentially named Mirai), it could happen. That would also spell good news for Honda, which will follow up Toyota's effort for its own hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle. The case for the free car is still pretty tenuous. Automotive News, citing the Nihon Keizai business publication, reports that the Japanese government has thrown around the idea of subsidizing the vehicles outright to early adopters just to gain some momentum for this kind of zero-emissions vehicles. Heck, the government would even throw in free fuel for good measure. We'll see about that. To see some of the official hydrogen excitement, click here for a video of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe taking a Toyota fuel cell vehicle for a brisk test drive. Honda pulling plug on slow-selling Insight hybrid

Wed, 26 Feb 2014

Insight hasn't amounted to even a tenth of Prius sales, and well over half of those sold were JDM.
It's been a rough ride for the Honda Insight, and now its journey appears to be at an end - word is that the five-door hybrid hatchback is going out of production.
