2009 Honda Fit Sport Hatchback 4-door 1.5l on 2040-cars
Hanover, Maryland, United States
This 2009 Honda Fit Sport is in truly excellent condition. This was a third car and has
only 40,700 miles. All scheduled maintenance done by the original Honda dealer. We have
all service records since Day One. Always garaged and washed regularly.
We've just had it fully detailed, inside and out, with steam cleaning of the upholstery and carpets and a full wax treatment on the exterior. This car is set up for winter weather. There are brand new high quality WeatherTech floor mats, a remote starter (nice in the summer too), and four newer Blizzak snow tires (best snow tires available). I just drove this Honda Fit from Michigan to Maryland and got 43mpg. This would be a great commuter car or something safe and economical to send your college student off with. Usual stuff: sold as-is and where-is. Have your funds in place and please treat our auction seriously. Buyer is responsible for shipping, although we will coordinate with truckers. If you want to drive it home, we can pick you up at the Baltimore airport or Amtrak station. This is a used car, so there are the usual minor paint chips, etc. Payment in full within 7 days via cash or cashiers check. $500 deposit via PayPal (PayPal for deposit only). Thanks very much. |

McLaren pondering Honda-powered 911 killer?
Tue, 21 May 2013As one of the premier sports cars in the world, the Porsche 911 is always driving around with a target on its rear-engined backside. If a new report is to be believed, the latest automaker with plans to build a 911-fighting sports coupe could be McLaren. Motor Trend is reporting that the recent news that Honda and McLaren are teaming up to build Formula One racecars could bear road-going fruit as well.
According to the article, the unnamed entry-level McLaren coupe may be powered by a Honda-sourced engine, but a detuned version of the 3.8-liter V8 from the MP4-12C is said to be more likely. All in, though, there is no solid information on the car just yet. As a reminder, M/T points out that the last time McLaren partnered up with a mainstream automaker, the world was introduced to the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.
Honda gunning for world's longest Rose Parade float
Thu, 26 Dec 2013Honda has participated in the annual Rose Parade for the past 53 years and returns this year as the presenting sponsor for the fourth time running. But it's not satisfied merely putting its name on the event; Honda intends to lead from the front with what promises to be the longest float in the parade's long history.
The float, previewed in the rendering above, will measure 274 feet long, as tall as 30 feet high, as wide as 18 feet and weighing a whopping 50 tons with 8,980 flowers covering its surface. The train will be led by a locomotive designed to mimic the Acura NSX, with Asimo at the wheel. The second car in the train showcases a Honda engine, followed by a robotic arm, and, for the first time in the parade's history, a pair of 30-foot LED monitors displaying images of spectators lining the parade route. A caboose inspired by the Honda Jet will pick up the rear.
Oh, and in case you're wondering just who Honda will be knocking off the record books with its 274-foot train of roses, that would be... also Honda. The Japanese company set the record in 2005 with a 207-foot float. Scope out the details in the press release below and click the image above to view in high resolution.
Here are the best-selling cars and trucks from January 2015
Fri, Feb 6 2015Every month, Autoblog slogs through all the sales figures reported by automakers that do business in the United States, and, after a little bit of sorting, we put it into an easy-to-read chart in an attempt to make it as easy as possible to follow the ins and outs of sales and shipments. But that only covers the brands themselves, not the individual models they sell. And we think you'd all be interested in knowing which vehicles beat their rivals in sales from month to month, so we've put together this handy gallery to keep you in the know. While the leader of the pack may not come as much of a surprise, the order that the top ten finishes in changes frequently – due to automaker deals, the price of gas, etc. – and we've included some statistics to help you see how their current performance stacks up to month's past.
