Wards names its 2015 10 Best Interiors list

Wards Automotive has named the winners of its 10 Best Interior awards, covering a wide but affordable array of vehicles. Where last year's list contained two six-figure vehicles, including the $372,800 Rolls-Royce Wraith, this year's is, well, a whole lot more reasonable. The publication lists the Mercedes-Benz C400 at $65,000 (which seems off), making it the most expensive vehicle here. That said, we'd argue that the entire C-Class line deserves to make this year's list, owing to its varied and high-quality selection of materials. The other vehicle to break the $60,000 mark, meanwhile, is the $60,675 Ford F-150 King Ranch, which has 327,000 pounds of leather lining its interior. Only one other German car, the BMW i3, and one other pickup truck, the GMC Canyon, managed to make this year's list. Not only is there a distinct lack of luxury brands, it's the price of some of the vehicles that surprise. The Honda Fit, Jeep Renegade and Mazda6 are very reasonably priced, especially when you compare Wards price with the starting price. Honda Civic coupe concept gets Type R render

In presenting the Civic coupe concept at the New York Auto Show earlier this month, Honda confirmed that the Type R will eventually be coming to North America. Honda just didn't say when, and in what form. But given the announcement's coincidence with the coupe concept's unveiling, it stands to reason the Type R could look less like the current hatchback and more like the two-door that was unveiled. And if it is, it'd probably look something like this. At least, we hope. Created by Wild-Speed.com and posted on the enthusiast forums at CivicX.com, these renderings envision what a Type R version of the Civic concept would look like – with two doors and all the go-fast bits. It may not be bright green anymore, but it sure looks mean – from the aggressive aero kit to the performance rolling stock. It's even got quad exhaust tips like the Euro-market hot hatch, but mounted in the center like the concept's. Honda Recalling 900,000 Odyssey Minivans

DETROIT (AP) - Honda Motor Co. is recalling 886,815 Odyssey minivans in the U.S. because a fuel pump cover can deteriorate and cause a fuel leak. Odysseys from 2005 through 2010 model years are involved. The recalled minivans were made between June 23, 2004, and September 4, 2010. According to documents posted Saturday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the cover on the fuel pump strainer can wear down from exposure to high temperatures and acidic chemicals, like those found in fertilizers. Fuel leaks can cause a vehicle fire. Honda says no fires or injuries have been reported. Honda dealers will repair the vehicles for free, but the company says replacement parts may not be available until this summer. It will notify owners of the recall next month.
