The condition of the exterior, interior and engine can vary depending on the vehicle's history. See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"Good Condition. Runs great. Full Power. Engine smooth - does not burn or blow smoke. Manual Transmission shifts as it should. Strong clutch with little play. No visible rust. Car has some door dings and scratches that may not be visible in pics. Interior in great shape with no rips or tears except small patched area about a half inch on drivers seat. Some lights on buttons/controls do not light up (such as cruise control light)however, everything including cruise control works as it should. Some front suspension rattling from what I suspect to be front struts, especially noticeable first few miles car is driven. Suspect car could use front struts/shocks. Tires could use replacing in next year or 12000 miles +/-. Volume control knob for stereo finicky but works. Car just flew through Virginia Safety Inspection and Emissions as is with no trouble at all. Drivers side door lock will not work with key or remote. Easy fix. Until resolved, must be manually locked/unlocked inside."

The Good:  Good Condition. Runs great. Full Power. Engine smooth - does not burn or blow smoke. Manual Transmission shifts as it should. Strong clutch with little to no play. No visible rust. Ice Cold Air Conditioning. Cruise Control. I have averaged 27 MPG. Looks good/great. Everyone thinks this Element is newer than it is! Interior looks fantastic, probably as nice as it gets for this year.

The Bad (all minor). Tires, Front struts/shocks at end of useful life cycle. Some control knobs do not light up on dash at night, but all work. Some door dings/scratches.

Up for Auction is a well running Honda Element EX with 5-Speed manual transmission. This FWD Manual is probably the most reliable cost-efficient combination. Upgrades include Factory Installed Sub-Woofer for nicer sound. Power front windows/mirrors. Ice Cold Air, Heat Defrost, all comfort controls work as they should. Extra's include roof rack and small hitch for bicycle rack, etc (I do not have a bicycle rack for it) and nice side rails.

The engine runs smooth. Does not burn or blow smoke. Engine seems to have full power. Great little vehicle. Was my daily driver until I accepted a job requiring a long commute in stop and go traffic, so I purchased a new sub-compact and don't have room to store extra cars. If you're looking for a great Honda Element at a low price - this is your opportunity allowing you to get the vehicle now and improve it later with new tires/front struts, etc.

Check my rating. Bid with confidence. I have sold numerous cars over the years on Ebay and never had a dissatisfied buyer.

Driving the Honda Ridgeline and marveling at Tesla | Autoblog Podcast #638

Fri, Jul 31 2020

In this week's Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski and Associate Editor Byron Hurd. They start off talking about why more people should buy the Honda Ridgeline, because it's a pretty darned good truck. Next, Byron talks about some Hyundais. He shares his experiences with the 2020 Sonata Hybrid and talks briefly about the prototype 2021 Elantra currently occupying his driveway. Up next, Jeremy shares his feelings about the BMW X1 crossover he spent some time with, prompting the gang to mull over the notion of BMW's modern interpretation of "Ultimate Driving Machine." After that, Byron talks about towing his 1990 Mazda Miata with the 2020 Infiniti QX80, and then they wrap up with some discussion of the mystery surrounding the Ford Maverick and some comments on the current state of Tesla. Honda HR-V could spawn Acura variant

Thu, Feb 5 2015

We've been saying it for months now, but the compact CUV is the next big thing. Everyone, and we mean everyone, is at least considering getting in on the action, if they aren't already actively designing or selling, and that's true whether they're a premium or mainstream automaker. That, of course, includes Acura, whose parent company, Honda, has a compact CUV of its own coming to market very, very soon. With the arrival of the Fit-based HR-V, that begs the question of whether the near-premium marque will join this burgeoning segment. The idea of building a car below the company's entry level CUV, the RDX, is an appealing one to Honda Executive Vice President John Mendel, who called it "potentially the only place you could go," and would occupy the "white space" the company is looking to fill. While we might chuckle about the idea of a luxurious, Fit-based CUV, it's fair to say it could do well for Acura. It could certainly provide a foil to the very hot selling Buick Encore, and may even capture some sales from the luxuriously outfitted Jeep Renegade Limited/Fiat 500X Lounge. It remains to be seen, though, if Acura could build an HR-V capable of tangling with the new entries from Lexus, Audi and Mercedes-Benz.

Honda and Mario Andretti cite pedestrians for excessive slowness

Thu, 05 Jun 2014

Honda and the Andretti family have a lot to celebrate at the moment. Andretti Autosport driver Ryan Hunter-Reay won the 2014 Indianapolis 500 in his Honda-powered car, and Marco Andretti, Mario's grandson, also managed to take the third step on the podium. Apparently, the victory is making them feel magnanimous because Honda and Mario Andretti are giving the chance to ride with him in a two-seat, open wheel car.
To promote the contest, they created the Honda Speed Patrol to ticket anyone going too slow. It's an interesting idea, and the chance to ride with Andretti would be the opportunity of a lifetime. Perhaps the biggest shock of the video, though, might be when you realize how short Mario is when you see him milling about in public. Scroll down to watch one of America's most respected racers cite people in Chicago for being too slow.
