Here is your once in a life time chance to grab an unmolested 1997 Honda Del Sol with stock B16A2 Engine, OBDII, factory power locks, cruise control and rear disc brakes....same as a 2000 civic si
Emissions done recently, Clean title and records in hand from the beginning of purchase.
The car has a clean carfax i.e. no accidents (there is a minor dent about the size of a soft ball on the trunk), and the paint has faded on the hood, trunk but the car itself has never been in a accident and has all VIN number stickers on the panels indicating originality...
I also have a extra black OEM trunk that can be included with the sale and new in box rear Stoptech drilled/slotted rotors and brake pads. The fronts have been installed and you will also get the original OEM front rotors. An OEM fog light switch, Pioneer Headunit with MP3/WMA, 3.5mm/USB inputs, all new 4 pioneer speakers as all the old ones were deteriorated (You will also get the original cassette head unit if you want)...I have records going back to the purchase
I bought it from the original owner who an older gentleman and a chief Engineer for the city of Dayton FL. I have tremendously enjoyed the car but cannot justifying keeping two outdoor hobby cars.. I am the second owner with records dating back to 16 miles on the odometer...yes u read it correctly...16 miles
If you have been looking for a clean Del Sol, it cannot get get better than this. Only 5000 made in 1997 and definitely a enthusiast's dream....
The ACT Clutch/Pressure plate were bought on ebay for approximately $190 and installed by our family mechanic (receipts will be provided).
What needs to be addressed:
The timing belt was done around 112K and needs to be done.... (see picture), the oil pan gasket has a leak, and one of the bulbs in the dash by the AC needs to be replaced

New Odyssey ads feature Honda Vac, star power

Thu, 29 Aug 2013

Honda has released a string of new ads highlighting its refreshed, 2014 Odyssey minivan. While the Japanese brand hasn't started bragging about attaining the first Top Safety Pick+ for minivans, it's all too happy to brag about another first - the world's first van with a built-in vacuum cleaner.
In three spots, anthropomorphic children's rubbish discusses the merits of the new minivan, only to be sucked up by the built-in vacuum, which is only available in the top-end Touring Elite model. There's also quite a bit of star power floating around for those that watch a lot of TV. Neil Patrick Harris from Doogie Howser, MD and How I Met Your Mother voices a character in one of the spots, while Rainn Wilson from The Office stars in another. Take a look below for all three ads from Honda.

Honda delays JDM Legend over quality concerns

Tue, Dec 30 2014

Honda has been having some quality issues lately, to say the least. Most of those have revolved around the airbags supplied by Takata, but not exclusively. The new Fit Hybrid, for example, has been subject to five consecutive recalls in the year since it launched. And now the Japanese automaker is reportedly delaying the launch of its new Legend sedan. The Legend, for those unfamiliar, is what Honda calls the Acura RLX in the Japanese Domestic Market – a model that has been subject to a handful of recalls in the United States, affecting components ranging from headlights to seatbelts to suspension bolts. Such quality control issues have prompted Honda to delay the introduction of its flagship sedan in its home market, pushing its arrival in Japanese showrooms back from the fall (when the model was revealed) initially to January 22 and now to February 20, according to the report from Bloomberg. The extra time is earmarked the give Honda engineers the opportunity to look into potential problems with the vehicle's radar safety system and its advanced hybrid powertrain, before introducing it to the local market. Hopefully further recalls can be avoided once deliveries have commenced.

Fire up your 3D printer! Honda releases data for several of its past concepts [w/video]

Thu, 30 Jan 2014

Futurists have been treating 3D printing like it is the second coming of the Industrial Revolution for years. Everyone will have a 3D printer in their garage and be able make practically anything at home before you know it, right? Well... not quite.
While we can imagine a piece of trim breaking on our car and being able to download the file to print a new one at home, the reality is that 3D printing is still in its earliest stages as a consumer device. Still, Honda is capitalizing on the technology by allowing people to make models of its concept cars at home.
The Honda 3D Design Archive currently consists of five models based on the Fuya-Jo, FSR, Kiwami, Puyo, and NSX concepts. The printer files can be downloaded from the web and carry Creative Commons 4.0 licenses, which allow them to be freely shared. Honda promises that more files will be added to the archive soon.
