Moving to new area and unfortunately can't keep my Del Sol.  1995 Honda Del Sol Si 5spd manual, cold A/C, power windows/locks, pioneer cd player/pioneer and polk speakers, alloys, rear spoiler, front lip, red JDM honda badging, custom "del sol" mats, RED LEATHER S2000 seats with little wear, no tears/rips.  I had all intentions of keeping this vehicle and the modifications and repairs I've done over the last 6 years of owning the Del show, most of the work has been done in the last year to two years which include.

-removal of all rust
-new hood, fenders and front bumper (this was not due to an accident but the dings were enough that it warranted replacing them)
-new AUX lights
-Clear headlights
-Smoked rear taillights
-Body Kit (buddy club rear bumper and side skirts)
-Complete respray (Black with red metal flake)
-New Struts
-New Adjustable Camber Controls
-New Rotors/pads
-New Battery
-New Steering Wheel with JDM style "H" horn
-New Indiglo gauges
-New Carbon Fiber instrument surround
-New 17" alloy wheels black with red lip
-Has full exhaust 4 into 1 header, resonator and muffler

Vehicle runs great with no issues, clutch is good, air blows cold, all power windows work including rear window, no issues
Interior needs some clean up and maybe replacement of a few random pieces but dash and door panels are nice, carpet is decent, everything is there.
Trunk area needs attention, no rust but missing some the trunk liner trim pieces and spare tire board/cover, the targa rack in the trunk is in place and in good working order, recently had state inspection done with no issues.  Two new tires on rear, front two tires have tread and are decent but because of their age need to be replaced.  I am uploading some pictures but if you want additional pictures hit me up through eBay.  Buyer responsible for pickup or any shipping arrangements and costs.  Min $1000 deposit by paypal within 24hours of winning auction and balance due within 3 business days, either by paypal or Cash or Cashiers check.  Please email me with any questions and please only bid if you can actually purchase and PAY for the car.  I have some additional parts and accessories they I will include with car as well, didn't list here because I need to go thru everything and see what I have.  Thanks for checking out my listing!

Honda returning to F1 as McLaren partner

Thu, 16 May 2013

Honda must really love Formula One racing, as evidenced by today's announcement that the Japanese automaker is returning to the world's most popular motorsport for the fifth time in its history. Honda has entered into a team partnership with McLaren to develop and manufacture power systems - the engine and energy recovery system - for the 2015 F1 season. McLaren will be in charge of chassis development and running the day-to-day operations of this newly formed team, which will be called McLaren Honda.
Honda says its decision to reenter F1 racing had to do with new regulations for the 2014 season that require cars to be powered by a 1.6-liter direct-injection turbocharged V6 engine paired with an energy recovery system. Apparently the chance to develop this particular powertrain for F1 racing was too enticing for Honda to pass up, which suggests it has bigger plans for the knowledge learned while developing these systems beyond just winning races.
As mentioned, this is Honda's fifth foray into F1 racing, the first being back in 1964 when it participated as its own team through 1968. Its longest stint came from 1983-1992 as an engine supplier, during which time it partnered with many teams, including McLaren, and won six Constructor Championships. Honda then returned from 2000-2005 as an engine supplier for British American Racing (BAR) before buying that team outright and running it as Honda Racing from 2006-2008. Then the global economic crisis hit. Honda's return to the sport will surely be welcomed by fans as its partnership with McLaren should produce a formidable team. It's a strong signal that the company has returned to health after a few tumultuous years, and hopefully its rediscovered motorsports mojo will help yield more passionately engineered street cars.

Six 'shut up and take my money' cars

Tue, 11 Nov 2014

Any time you see this iconic moment in pop culture - Shut up and take my money! - posted in response to a new car reveal, rumor for an upcoming model or even lip-service to a vehicle that should exist, you can bet there's some intrinsic good in the idea. Though depending on the person offering up the cash, that good could take the form of extraordinary form, functionality, weight savings, power, handling, etc. You get the idea.
In fact, when I first proposed this list, I reached out to the Autoblog staff to help me brainstorm. Here are some of the ideas they offered up that I ultimately didn't use: Jaguar XE Coupe, Pagani Huayra Roadster, Mercedes-Benz S-Class "parade car" (cabriolet), Morgan 3-Wheeler with Ducati V-twin, Ford Transit Connectamino (pickup), Mercedes CLA63 AMG, Ford Fusion 5.0, BMW i8 Spyder, Lexus RC-F Shooting Brake, Volvo XC90 Polestar. Oh, and things we collectively wanted to stick Dodge's Hellcat in were almost as numerous as models that Fiat Chrysler Automotive currently makes (though none quite so compelling as the Grand Cherokee you see above.)
Ultimately though, while I used a couple of ideas from my colleagues, the list of cars I'd shell out for unquestionably is very personal. Though it isn't complete, what follows is a selection of cars whose very existence would prompt me - or the trust-fund-baby versions of me - to utter without hesitation: "Shut up and take my money."

Honda to dub Fit-based as HR-V for North America

Sun, 06 Apr 2014

You may remember it as the Urban SUV (pictured above) from when it debuted in concept form at the Detroit Auto Show last year, or know it as the Vezel as the production version was unveiled for the Japanese Domestic Market at the 2014 Tokyo Motor Show. But when Honda starts exporting its new Fit-based crossover - or better yet, building it in Mexico for North American consumption - it will be called the HR-V.
This news comes courtesy of Honda enthusiast forum Temple of VTEC. When contacted by Autoblog, Honda spokesmen declined to comment on the veracity of the report, saying only that it would "announce the name in the near future," but the handle fits with what we know about Honda's history with compact crossovers. The previous HR-V (which was not available in the States) was a high-riding, squared-off crossover built between 1999 and 2006 and based on the Fit's predecessor, the Honda Logo.
While the HR-V moniker might not have name recognition in North America, it would in Europe where Honda also hopes its new crossover will find eager customers. It will also fit in nicely below the CR-V that will continue on as the HR-V's larger stablemate.
