1994 Honda Del Sol DOHC VTEC Go-Autoworks, Hondata, HKS, Greddy, K-Sport etc

Im looking to sell my 1994 Honda Del Sol DOHC VTEC. I have had this car for a little over two years i believe. It has been my daily driver and parked winters.   The motor and transmission are original and have 129,800 miles on them.

To my knowledge this car has only seen one winter if that. The body is solid no rust bondo or anything. The bumper has been repainted sometime in this vehicles life.

All the work has been done by myself and was performed in fall of 2013.

I installed a Go-Autoworks Street Kit. The turbo is a precision 57 trim / 63 AR journal turbo, and has 2.5" downpipe w/ flex section. Greddy 2.4 inch catback exhaust. AC is still in car and power steering. I made brackets to securely mount the FMIC. No shortcuts were taking during the install copper high temp coating sprayed on all gaskets. The only ebay used part is the turbo oil return line. I am running DSM 450 injectors with resistor box. It has a authentic HSK SSQ BOV and tial external wastegate with a 10 lb spring and dumptube. Also a omni 4 bar map sensor. I made a custom turbo air intake with a K&N filter ( i never run turbos without a filter). I also installed a Apexi AVC-R boost controller and mounted in glovebox. Has new golden eagle cam seal and OEM VC gasket, dist gasket, and spool valve gasket. HAsport 57a engine mounts (all but t bracket).

For cooling i installed a Zap aluminum radiator and a high output slim fan.
I installed a VDO boost gauge and AEM Uego wideband in the A-pillar. Also has upgraded audio system pioneer head unit, remote, and speakers.

I had it tuned by John Kerr (J-K tuning / Innovative motorsports) in carlisle on s300 in a p06. Made 250 hp and 175 lb/ft of torque on 12 psi.

After getting it tuned i decided to replace almost the entire suspension. K-sport coilovers, PIC / SUJA full bushing kit, EP3 RSX rear brake upgrade, new hubs, calipers, rotors, new tie rods, ball joints, almost everything on the suspension.

Car runs great with no issues and I average 28 mpg.

There are three things that could be fixed on the vehicle:
1.  The turbo oil return line has a slight drip and could use an upgrade with a higher quality line.
2.  The AC condenser drain line is clogged or missing and sometimes condensation will drip on the passenger side floor mat.
3.  The passenger side targa top seal leaks a little bit under high rain conditions just like every pre 1996 del sol

Please contact me with any questions at 330-720-5382 my name is Kevin.
$500 Deposit due within 48 hours of auction close.  Full Payment due  within 5 business days.
Feedback greater than 5 required unless contacted prior to bidding.  Vehicle is located in Pontiac Michigan and is available for inspection before bidding.

Thanks and Good Luck :)

Half of Chinese car buyers won't shop Japanese over hard feelings

Mon, May 26 2014

The hard feelings between China and Japan is no real secret. Besides modern-day disputes, the two countries have had a long-running enmity that dates back to well before the atrocities of World War II. All things considered, then, it shouldn't be a shock that half of Chinese car buyers wouldn't consider a Japanese car. This survey, conducted by Bernstein Research, found that 51 percent of 40,000 Chinese consumers wouldn't even consider a Japanese car – which, again, isn't really surprising, when you consider stories like this. According to Bernstein, the most troubling thing is the location of these sentiments – smaller, growing cities where the population is going to need sets of wheels. We imagine it wouldn't be as big of an issue in traffic-clogged Shanghai or Beijing, but these small cities are going to become a major focus for automakers. "Nationalistic feelings are an impediment. [Japanese] premium brands will struggle," analyst Max Warburton wrote in a research note, according to The Wall Street Journal. Things will improve for Japanese makes, although China will remain a challenge, with Warburton writing, "the one thing that comes out most clearly is that most Chinese really want a German car. While we expect Japanese brands to continue to recover market share this year, ultimately the market will belong to the Germans." There are a few other insights from the study. According to WSJ, Japanese brands are viewed better than Korean brands, and they're seen as more comfortable than the offerings from Germany or the US, despite the fact that everyone in China apparently wants a German car. This is a tough position for the Japanese makes to be in, as there's really not a lot they can do to win favor with Chinese buyers. It will be interesting to see how this plays out, particularly as the importance of the PRC continues to increase year after year. The 11 best scenes from the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed

Tue, Jun 30 2015

Over the last three days, the Goodwood Estate has played home to the eponymous Festival of Speed. Thrown by the biggest gearhead in the British aristocracy – Charles Gordon-Lennox, the Earl of March and Kinrara – the Festival of Speed is essentially a tremendous, gasoline-fuelled party, complete with a very large lawn sculpture, that features the world's hottest, weirdest, fastest, and loudest race, production, and historic models. While there are quite literally dozens and dozens of videos from the event – not to mention the full-day replays (of which only day one is available, at present) – we've sifted through them to pluck away the very best. There's stuff from the official Goodwood YouTube channel, as well as several videos from automakers and other third-party channels, and it's all available below. 2015 Ford Mustang GT350R Looks Barely Controllable If you thought the highest-performance Ford Mustang would somehow get more tractable or civilized once it moved to an independent rear suspension, this video shows you have nothing to worry about. Watch as an unnamed driver wrestles the new Shelby GT350R and its flat-plane, 5.2-liter V8 up the hillclimb circuit. Even with the new suspension and sticky tires, this Mustang wants to go any direction but straight, especially following its launch. 2016 Ford Focus RS, Is Very Loud, Blue Ken Block makes his first appearance on our list. Before he steps into his Hoonicorn Mustang, though, the Gymkhana expert tackled the hill in the all-new Focus RS. The vicious bellow of the 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder is the star of this commentary-free video, although the gorgeous Nitrous Blue paint job is a nice accompaniment, as well. 1965 Ford Mustang Hoonicorn Runs Hill, Nearly Kills Lord March Mr. Block's two runs behind the wheel of the Hoonicorn were, unsurprisingly, very eventful. While one attempt goes off without a hitch, seeing the American rally driver slip and slide his way to the top of the hill while taking a short break for a donut, the other is slightly more dramatic. Block, along with Lord March in the passenger seat, carries a bit too aggressive an angle into a turn and nearly puts the NASCAR-powered Mustang into the hay bales. Check out the first video above, and the second one below. Kimi Raikkonen Makes Us Miss F1's V8 Era The latest Formula One cars have been maligned for the lackluster noise produced by the new 1.6-liter, turbocharged V6.

Total auto recalls already on record pace in 2014

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

If you've noticed that there have been more recalls than usual this year, you may be on to something. According to a report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the US market is on pace to break a record for recalls. In 2013, 22 million cars were recalled. We're only a third of the way through 2014, though, and we've already halved that figure, with 11 million units recalled. That's wild.
Considering the past few months, it shouldn't be a surprise that General Motors is leading the charge, with six million of the 11 million units recalled coming from one of the General's four brands. Between truck recalls, CUV recalls and the ignition switch recall, 2014 hasn't been a great year for GM.
Other recall leaders include Nissan (one million Sentra and Altima sedans), Honda (900,000 Odyssey minivans), Toyota (over one million units in a few recalls), Volkswagen (150,000 Passat sedans), Chrysler (644,000 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs) and most recently, Ford (434,000 units, the bulk of which were early Ford Escape CUVs). So while it's been a bad year for GM so far, its competitors aren't doing too well, either.
