1993 Honda Civic Del Sol - All Original - 5-speed Manual - Well Kept - Very Nice on 2040-cars
San Antonio, Texas, United States
Many pictures are loading, please be patient. Don't hesitate to call or email if you have any questions! 1993 Honda Civic Del Sol - Si
This car is fully equipped! It has all the options, including in-dash CD, power windows, power mirrors, cruise control, 5-speed manual transmission, and more! This is a second owner, non smoker's car. It was sold brand new here in central Texas and has resided here its entire life! You never have to worry about rust here! The car is ready to go! The car's original cloth interior is in beautiful shape holding up very well given the car's age and mileage. The driver's seat does have wear where you get in and out of the car as you will soon see, but the previous owner did buy a very nice set of seat covers to disguise the wear on the seats. They are included. The last owner did a great job of keeping the car well maintained. The a/c is very cold and the heat is hot. All the power windows, locks, seats, and power mirrors work great! Even the rear window is power operated! It also has cruise control which makes those highway drives much easier. No warning lights remain on the dash after the car is started! You also have a screen on the dash which monitors several different systems on the car telling you if your trunk is opened or if the rear window is down. The aftermarket Toshiba stereo could use an upgrade as it sounds a little dated on these newer, bass heavy songs, but the stereo still works good. If you like to listen to CDs, the car does have an in-dash CD! The exterior is also in great shape. The car has held up very well, but still shows wear as you can imagine given the age and mileage. Considering that most of these I see on the market have body panels that don't match, have ugly body kits on them, or are painted in primer color it should be very refreshing for you to see a car still in its original paint after all this time. The paint still shows the car very well but is showing its age as it's over 20 years old at this point. At this point I would plan to invest in some new paint sooner or later in order to bring out the car fully. The car features its original factory alloy wheels with a good set of tires all around. For your safety, the car is equipped with dual air bags! So how does it drive? You'd never guess this car's age and
mileage by driving it. It handles tight, and is very
responsive. When we got the car in the clutch was almost going
out so we did replace it. Good news is that you won't have to
worry about the clutch for quite some time! The suspension is
tight, the car hugs the turns and absorbs the bumps
very nicely. The brakes stop the car evenly and
effectively.
The Honda 1.6 liter 16 Valve VTEC engine is very
powerful! You
can really see why you don't want a Honda unless its a VTEC. It
really
is a great engine! It'll give you all the power that you need to
do whatever you'd like to do in this car! You will have no
trouble
passing slower traffic in this car. The engine is in very good
condition.
With fuel prices on the rise, this cars fuel economy will make this an
even more attractive buy! This car is rated for well over 30
miles
per gallon! Drive this car all day and spend only a few dollars
on
gas! The 5-speed manual transmission shifts just as it
should. The clutch is brand new! You will have a very hard time finding a car that's this nice
anywhere! The reserve is low and we anticipate it being met well
before the end
of
the auction. That's right, we actually plan on selling this fine
car at the end of the auction. This really is a rare
opportunity! These cars are becoming very
rare
to find in any kind of condition. People are beginning to keep
these
cars as they make great weekend cars which means that they are starting
to disappear from the market! You may never have another chance
to
get one with mileage this low, and that is all original! Make
sure
you have the high bid because this car will sell! Don't miss out
on your chance to own this beautiful automobile.
If you have any questions about the car don't hesitate to call 512-360-0041.
You have plenty of room for whatever you'd like to place back here. That really is a surprise! You'll really be impressed by how nice this car's trunk is! The owner was very careful not to place anything back here that would spill or make the trunk dirty! Just look at it! Plenty of room for whatever you'd like to place back here! Take a look at how clean that trunk is! Underneath the trunk you have the car's spare tire! The car's removable hard top fits right back here! Take a look at the driver's door! You'll really appreciate the condition the doors are in! No scuff or kick marks from getting in and out of the car! Just look at how nice it is! The car comes with fully adjustable power mirrors and windows! Here's your first glimpse into this car's interior! You'll really fall in love with this car's color combination. It really makes the car look awesome! The car comes with its original set of Del Sol matching floormats! Just look at how nice everything is! These original seats have held up incredibly well! The only exception is the one spot that gets bumped into as you enter the car. If it wasn't for that the seats would be perfect. It's ok though because the car's previous owner included matching seat covers to make the seats look their best! Here is the car with the covers installed! It makes a world of difference! The passenger's door still looks incredible! Just look at how nice it is! Just look at how nice it is! You won't believe how nice this car's interior is until you sit down and take a look at it! The interior really has been well kept! Take a look at how clean this car is! You'll be in complete disbelief! The passenger's seat is nicer than the driver's! It's near immaculate! Just look at the seats! They really have been well kept! You have some storage space behind the seats! All the controls are right at the driver's fingertips! You'll really love what a driver's car this really is!
All the interior is impeccable inside! Just look at the interior of this incredible car! You'll be very pleased with the layout of this car's interior! Everything is designed to be in sync with the driver! Just look at how clean everything is! The car's a/c controls work just as they are supposed to! The car's aftermarket Toshiba stereo with in-dash CD works great! Look at how clean it is down here! The transmission shifts great! This is the real deal! A 5-speed manual! The car was never smoked in! You have a small storage area and cup holders! The sunvisors still work great! Take a look at your engine! It's incredibly clean! You get a very clean 1.6 liter 16 Valve VTEC engine! As you already know, these Honda VTEC engines are some of the best engines ever made! These engines are bulletproof, with only 229,000 miles on this one this engine has got its whole life ahead of it! Don't let this engine's size deceive you. This engine has more than enough power to pull this car and then some! You won't believe how much power this car has! Honda CR-V spot delights with 'impossible' illusions
Thu, 24 Oct 2013Mind-blowing car commercials that employ optical illusions and jaw-clenching stunts instead of computer animation are becoming the norm these days, and everybody from Volvo Trucks to Forza Motorsport 5/McLaren are regular contributors to the growing trend. Honda joins the crowd in its latest European commercial for the CR-V 1.6 i-DTEC Diesel, and uses well-placed props and well-drawn imagery to trick viewers into seeing the "impossible."
The old-fashioned optical illusion is alive and well in Honda's "An Impossible, Made Possible" spot, so go ahead and watch it and the making-of video below.
Kayaba, Sumitomo to pay millions for price-fixing in US
Sat, Sep 19 2015Kayaba Industry Co, which does business in the US as suspension parts maker KYB, and Sumitomo Electric Industries are facing payments in the millions to settle price-fixing cases about the components that they make. As part of the Department of Justice's ongoing crackdown of price fixing in the auto industry, KYB agreed to pay $62 million and pleaded guilty to conspiracy to set the cost of shock absorbers from the mid '90s through 2012. The company allegedly worked with co-conspirators to keep the cost of the parts high, and those components then made it into vehicles from Honda, Kawasaki, Nissan, Subaru, Suzuki, and Toyota. "Any collusive agreement among competitors to restrict price competition undercuts our free enterprise system and violates the law," said Carter M. Stewart, US Attorney of the Southern District of Ohio, in the DoJ's announcement. Over the past few years, the DoJ has brought cases against 37 parts suppliers and 55 executives, leading to over $2.6 billion in fines. The investigations haven't always been so successful – some of the Japanese execs fled from the US to avoid prosecution. Critics allege that price fixing is simply how business is done. According to Automotive News, Sumitomo Electric Industries is also facing a $50 million settlement in a civil lawsuit that's related to price fixing of parts like wiring harnesses and heater control panels. The plaintiffs include owners and dealers that purchased vehicles with these parts. The company asserts that the violations are from before 2010, and it now has different process in place to avoid further violations. KYB Agrees to Plead Guilty and Pay $62 Million Criminal Fine for Fixing Price of Shock Absorbers Kayaba Industry Co. Ltd., dba KYB Corporation (KYB) has agreed to plead guilty and to pay a $62 million criminal fine for its role in a conspiracy to fix the price of shock absorbers installed in cars and motorcycles sold to U.S. consumers. According to charges filed today, KYB conspired from the mid-1990s until 2012 to fix the prices of shock absorbers sold to Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (manufacturer of Subaru vehicles), Honda Motor Co. Ltd., Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd., Nissan Motor Company Ltd., Suzuki Motor Corporation and Toyota Motor Company, including their subsidiaries in the United States.
10 automakers shack up in Detroit hotel to talk Takata airbags
Sun, Dec 14 2014Since Takata has decided not to take the lead concerning potential issues with its airbag inflators, the automakers have. Perhaps that's unsurprising, since it's the automakers, not Takata, that will take a beating on the dealership floor if consumers decide its models are a health hazards. The Detroit News reports that Toyota, Honda, General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Mazda, BMW, Nissan, Mitsubishi and Subaru met in a hotel conference room near the Detroit Metropolitan Airport last week to sort out a way to understand the technical issues involved. So far, faulty airbag inflators have been ruled the cause of five deaths and 50 injuries around the world, but neither Takata nor investigators understands exactly why the inflators are malfunctioning. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recently asked Takata to issue a national recall, Takata declined, citing a minuscule failure rate and the fact that it's still investigating the issue. Toyota and Honda then made an industry-wide appeal for "a coordinated, comprehensive testing program" that would pinpoint the problem inflators and get them replaced, and that's what the Detroit meeting was about. Numerous issues, however, will make this a long row to hoe: simply getting the parts to replace the nearly 20 million inflators in cars recalled around the world so far - even working with other suppliers - will take a years, but more importantly, no one knows if the replacement inflators currently being installed will suffer the same issue. Answers will hopefully come quickly with Takata, the ten automakers and NHTSA all independently investigating the problem.
