- Interior: The car has minimal aesthetic wear and tear on the interior. I'm a non-smoker and don't let others smoke in the car. There was no sign that the car had previously been owned by a smoker. The seats are in great shape (very clean, no rips or tears) as are the floor mats with the exception of the driver's floor mat. When the car was purchased the driver's floor mat had a minor rip, which has no functional impact, merely aesthetic. The dashboard and center console are neat. Since owning the car my practice has been to thoroughly clean the car several times a year. I'm confident saying that the interior has been well kept.
- Exterior: As you can see from the pictures, the car is very clean and orderly. On the front passenger-side panel where it meets the front quarter panel there is a minor indentation (NOT a dent) that I haven't been able to adjust. It should be a quick fix. Other than that, there is minor wear and scratches on the rear bumper. Other than that the car's exterior is in great shape.
- Operation: I have all/most of the car's records and have conducted routine maintenance and upkeep. I just put 4 new tires on the car within the month. The car runs well and just received a number of new parts because of general mileage. The air system occasionally has a slight musty smell upon start up. As you can see from the pictures, I typically get between 38-41 MPG depending on the time of year and specific driving conditions. During the summer, with heavy air conditioning use the MPG drops to 36-39 MPG (Not bad at all still). During the spring, autumn and winter it jumps up again.
- Other than those described above I can't think of any other features. The car is straight forward and optimal for commuting. I'm also a very active person and have found the car perfectly capable of holding the equipment I've needed. Space is certainly limited because the batteries are between the back seat and the trunk, so you can't put the seat down and put skis in or something like that. But it could get a roof rack if the owner desired.
- I purchased this car in February of 2010 on the East End of Long Island from Apple Honda as a certified used Honda with about 60K miles. The car currently has 123k miles, for an average of 18k miles per year. I am selling the car because I am moving to a city where I will be biking and using public transportation. If I were still living in any area where I needed a car I'd certainly be keeping this vehicle.

Fred Savage wants to narrate your home videos to practice for Honda gig
Mon, 27 Oct 2014Honda is getting ready to launch a new advertising campaign with Fred Savage of The Wonder Years (and The Princess Bride) fame, and in order to get his voice in game shape, Savage is taking to social media to get prepared. More specifically, he's apparently interested in adding some voiceover to fun videos provided by fans of the Honda brand, and all you have to do to be considered is to get his attention on Twitter using the hashtag #HondaPromo.
We have no idea how Savage or the Honda PR team plans to choose which videos will be turned into narrated works of art, but we do think it's a pretty fun idea. So, if you happen to have a video that could use some narration, and you think Savage would provide the perfect pitch, hit him up. Oh, be sure to read the terms and conditions first.
Honda's new City hints in India at US-bound Fit sedan [w/videos]
Tue, 26 Nov 2013While car buyers on these shores may think of the Civic or Accord as the prototypical Honda sedan, in the Asia and Oceania regions, it all comes down to the City. Based on the Honda Fit, the City is a compact sedan that's currently sold in 55 countries around the world, and now Honda has revealed the newest version.
Standing essentially as a Fit sedan (much as the Vezel debuted as a Fit crossover), the new fourth-generation Honda City is as wide as the hatchback on which it's based, but stretches longer on a lengthened wheelbase and sits lower. Power comes from a 1.5-liter inline four in either gasoline or diesel form, mated to an unspecified transmission that we'd have to assume is either a manual or a CVT.
Styling looks familiarly Honda, and while it may be hard to tell from the few stock, detail and live reveal images the Japanese automaker has provided us with thus far, it appears slicker form than other compact hatchback-based sedans like the Ford Fiesta or Mazda2. Fortunately IndianAutosBlog has uploaded a couple of videos from the reveal, which we've included below along with the press release.
Takata airbag victim urges consumers to head to the dealership
Wed, Aug 3 2016A man who lost an eye in a low speed collision due to faulty Takata airbags is urging the owners of cars with recalled parts to take their vehicles into a dealership, before it's too late. The public service announcement comes from ConsumerWatch.com. In a video, the consumer rights website gives factual information about the recall, and adds a personal plea from Corey Burdick. The Florida man lost an eye due to shrapnel from an exploding Takata airbag. The Orlando Sentinel reported that Burdick was traveling just 15 mph in his Honda Civic when he collided with another car. There were no other injuries caused by the crash, except for the loss of Burdick's eye. He filed a lawsuit against Honda and Takata this year. "I lost my eye because of a defective airbag. Take your car in today so this doesn't happen to you," Burdick said. ConsumerWatch.com told Honda and Acura owners not to drive their vehicles until the faulty airbags were replaced. Good advice, as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration also recently advised owners of 2001-03 Hondas and Acuras to get their airbags replaced immediately. NHTSA says airbag inflators in those vehicles have up to a 50 percent chance of exploding in an accident. But replacing the airbags isn't as easy as simply going into the dealership. Many owners who take their cars in for replacement are finding out that new parts are in short supply as manufacturers grapple with the largest automotive recall in US history. Takata may not have enough replacements until 2019, CNN reported earlier this year. The problem is so pervasive that some brand new cars were found to be sitting on dealer lots with faulty airbags still in place months after the initial recall. Some cars have received replacements that were also faulty and now will require a second trip to the dealer. However, waiting is not an option for many owners. At least 13 people have been killed and over 100 injuries have been blamed on the airbags.
