Up for sale is a 2006 Civic Si Couple in superb condition. I am the original non-smoking owner of this car and purchased it from Florence Jeff Wyler in early January of 2006. The car was sitting in the show room when it was purchased and it has been garage kept ever since. I typically drove the car when it was not raining or snowing as I have another car I drive on those days. I have maintained all schedule maintenance for the car and it has been cared for extremely well. There is nothing wrong with this car mechinically or physically. There were some minor recals on the car that I had performed at Honda and one included the tramission syncros. During that recal I also had Honda replace the factory clutch with a Stage 4 Competition Clutch. The clutch does not have a heavy pedal at all, but it performs a whole lot better than the factory clutch did. The car was purchased with factory installed upgrades such as the all season floor mats (carpet mats have never been used), hood and fenders leather protector, HFP badges, HFP exhaust, HFP suspension and the HFP lip kit (front, side and rear). I also had installed a Kenwood in-dash Navigation/DVD system w/ IPod connection in the glove box. This system also includes HD radio and back-up camera. Additional upgrades include Honda Type R valve cover with carbon fiber spark plug cover, Injen cold-air intake, Vibrant race header w/ cat delete, Hondata heat shield gasket and the ECU was reflashed by Hondata. Check Hondata.com and select reflash for K20Z3 for info. I also sent my headlights to a company who custom retrofitted Acura TL lens into my headlights so I could have HIDs. I recently purchased 4 new Kumho tires and replaced by battery with a new Honda battery. I still have the factory intake system and the header with cat. This car is a blast to drive, but it's time for me to upgrade. There is plenty to still talk about this car and other upgrades so please contact me if interested.

2015 Honda Fit set for Detroit reveal

Thu, 19 Dec 2013

We've got one more debut confirmed for next month's Detroit Auto Show, as Honda has announced that it will be showing off the 2015 Fit in the Motor City. Honda has released a singular image of the new Fit's rear taillight, above.
From the sole image, we can see that the American-spec Fit will share at least its taillights with the Japanese variant, which we've helpfully included an image of to the right. Now, technically, the blue car to the right is the Fit Hybrid, a car we aren't expecting to see in the US market. But the gallery of images we've included below should give those interested in the car a very good idea of what the new Fit will look like when it hits the auto show stage next month.
As for what will be under hood when it debuts in January, Honda is touting its Earth Dreams Technology engine, which we take to mean some sort of four-cylinder, gas-powered mill. Expect excellent fuel economy from the new car, and according to the Japanese brand, "leading-edge connected car technologies."

Honda launches new Fit in Japan, has big expectations for North America

Thu, 05 Sep 2013

Honda has officially launched the Fit sub-compact in its home market, ahead of its eventual arrival in North America. The third-generation Fit is wildly important for Honda, with the company's president, Takanobu Ito, saying, "This is the most important model."
The third-generation Fit is a ground-up reworking of the car that we've come to know. It will pioneer Honda's new design language, Exciting H Design (seriously) and will also be the very first Fit to be manufactured in North America. Thanks to a Mexican factory that is scheduled to open in the spring of 2014, Honda will be able to produce 200,000 Fits for the North American market in North America, saving the brand a huge amount of cash.
As for that Exciting H Design, it's meant to be sleeker and more modern, according to Automotive News. It's not bad looking, but the overall design is far less important than what's under that hood. The vehicle you see above is a Fit RS, which has quite a resemblance to the rumored Fit Mugen. There's not a lot of detail on this model, but based on looks alone, we certainly hope it'll be coming to the North American market - it'd make a great Fit Sport. A hybrid variant will also come to the US market, and that car is returning impressive numbers on the Japanese cycle: 86 miles per gallon so far, thanks to the combination of an 1.5-liter, Atkinson-cycle, four-cylinder engine and a seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission. That's a 35-percent improvement over the current, JDM Fit Hybrid.

How to charge up your BMW i3 with a Honda

Sat, Sep 13 2014

Behold a cheaper version of BMW's range extender for its i3 plug-in. And it's brought to you by ... Honda? Sort of, if you take the approach that Gadget Review took when it looked for an alternative to ponying up the $4,000 or so for the gas-powered i3 range extender that comes from the factory. What was procured was a Honda portable generator for Home Depot for the experiment, which involved gassing the generator up in a parking lot, plugging in the i3 and going out for a cup of coffee. The result was that, after about a half-hour of charging, the i3 picked up about four miles of driving range. Not exactly revolutionary but it least a bit instructive. And given that Honda generators start at about $800, the idea, while clunky, is potentially cash-saving. Gadget Review briefly took the experiment one-step further by trying to run the generator inside the back of the car and plugging in, complete with a rigged-up ventilation system, but the host thought better of it once he realized that there'd be suffocation involved. Why this was never tried on the Nissan Leaf, we'll never know. Check out Gadget Review's five-minute video below.
