2006 Honda Civic Si Coupe 2-door 2.0l on 2040-cars
Tallahassee, Florida, United States
For sale is my 2006 Honda Civic Si in Tafetta White with 48,720 miles. The original owner had the vehicle on pre-order before it came out and meticulously maintained the vehicle, only selling it because he needed a more practical vehicle for his growing family. As the second owner, I purchased the vehicle in June 2013 and have kept the same level of maintenance since then. The vehicle has never been raced. I have really enjoyed every aspect of the vehicle and am only selling it because I am going back to school and no longer need it. The car is listed for $13,900 and I welcome any serious offers. All maintenance receipts will be included since 2006 (I have the original owner’s receipts) as well as my own. Other than routine maintenance, I have had absolutely no issues with this vehicle. For an 8 year old vehicle, it looks and runs great! Before final purchase, gas tank will be filled completely. I welcome any questions about the vehicle. The Good -The car has been very well maintained with Exxon Mobil Full Synthetic oil changes every 5,000 miles. All available maintenance receipts will be provided. -Car is almost bone stock with the exception of what is mentioned. -Ceramic rotors and EBC Green Stuff Brake Pads. -HID Lights + LED Taillights -Continental ExtremeContact DW summer tires with 10,xxx miles on them. Tread is less than halfway complete. -Vehicle is hardwired for iPhone connectivity through the speakers with 30 pin and Lightning Adapters for all iPhone/iPod models -Braking power is very strong. -Tinted windows The Bad -According to the previous owner, the plastic cowl right before the windshield has a small chip in it, probably from a rock. Not noticeable unless you’re looking for it. -When I moved to Florida, my laundry detergent spilled on middle of the floor mat of the backseat and a spot in the trunk. I will try to wash the mats prior to selling. Both spots will be pictured. -A few minor rock chips on the front of the vehicle from highway driving. Not noticeable unless you look for them. -At the beginning of April, the car began to shudder when braking at lower speeds (typically under 20). When I did the front end alignment on 5/3/14, they told me that the rotors are beginning to get warped and should be replaced within the next several months. The Preference -HID Lights (4000k) and LED taillights were installed by the previous driver. If you prefer the stock equipment, I have it in storage in Ohio and the cost of shipping that down here can be included in the sale price. -The oil percentage is at 25% and it’s the buyer’s preference if you want me changing the oil prior to the sale. If you want to go that route, the oil will be changed in less than 5,000 miles but again, it’s your preference. If you don’t want me changing the oil, I have the Exxon Mobil One and filters that you can use in your future oil changes. I purchased the oil with the intention of bringing it somewhere to have it changed. Saved me a few bucks on the oil changes. -VTEC Stickers on both sides of the car were removed by an automated car wash. I preferred the car without the stickers but will include new stickers for you to put on if you want. -The car will be sold “as is” and I will not change out the rotors/front brakes before selling. The reason is it would add to the price but more importantly, brakes and rotors are preferences. I would rather leave that to the buyer to choose for themselves. Maintenance -Windshield wipers will be replaced prior to new owner purchasing. -Front end alignment (completed on 5/3/14) -Tires rotated & balanced (completed on 5/3/14) -New Air Filter (5/3/14) -Back brakes are in great condition, front brakes might need to be replaced within the next several thousand miles. Braking power is still very strong. Financing -The lien on the car is held by my credit union in Brunswick, OH and the buyer and myself will work to coordinate the payoff and transfer of title. |

Honda CEO says we shouldn't expect any new sports cars
Tue, 19 Nov 2013It wasn't so long ago that Honda was known for its sporty two-door models, with models ranging from the Civic del Sol to the Prelude and from the Acura Integra and RSX to the Honda S2000. But look at its range today and all you'll see are the Civic and Accord coupes. Honda has essentially let competitors like the Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ and Nissan 370Z take the place it once claimed as its own. But if you were hoping Honda would fight back with a new coupe or convertible of its own, we're afraid you're going to have to downgrade those hopes to pipe dreams.
While in Japan ahead of the Tokyo Motor Show, Autoblog had a chance to sit down with American Honda CEO Tetsuo Iwamura (pictured at right). When we asked about the potential for a new sports coupe or convertible in the Honda or Acura lineup, he pointed to the current Civic and Accord coupes - not to mention the upcoming new NSX - but said that Honda has no replacement for any of the aforementioned models (or a rival for the FR-S or 370Z) in the pipeline, saying only that the company is monitoring potential demand.
What Iwamura-san did note was that he's a personal fan of the new S660 roadster (pictured above) set to be unveiled tomorrow, and he is pushing (or at least hoping) that it will come to North America. Given that he's head of both Honda's American office and its global automobile operations, one might think that the only person he would have to persuade is himself (well... himself, and potential buyers), but the sporty droptop looks to be about kei-sized, which sadly suggests that it may be too small for American tastes and perhaps not designed with US crash-test standards in mind anyway.
Watch Evo pick its 2015 Car of the Year in this epic video
Mon, Dec 7 2015With just a few days left in 2015, it's the perfect time to check out Evo's annual Car of the Year test to determine the greatest performance vehicle of the last 12 months. The writers' picks for the 11 finalists spanned a breadth of engaging models and included: Peugeot 208 GTi by Peugeot Sport, Lamborghini Aventador SV, Seat Leon Cupra Sub8, McLaren 675LT, Porsche 991 GT3 RS, Porsche Cayman GT4, Honda Civic Type R, Ferrari 488 GTB, Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, Lotus Evora 400, and Mercedes-AMG GT S. For the venue to test the mettle of these performance machines, Evo stuck close to home this year and visited the twisting roads at the beautiful north coast of Scotland. Racing brothers Marino and Dario Franchitti also came along for the ride to provide two more voices in the competitive challenge to determine a winner. Evo's video explains why each model deserves to be among such rarified company but doesn't gloss over their faults either. There can be only one winner, though. We don't want to spoil it, so check out the clip for magnificent views of these performance machines through the Scottish countryside.
