2006 Honda Civic Ex Coupe 1.8 Efi 5 Spd. 65,105 Mi. 1 Owner Turbo Charged! Nice! on 2040-cars
Ramona, California, United States
From a fine San Diego estate....Non-Smoker.....Original owner was an industrial arts teacher, purchased the car from CUSH honda in Escondido, CA and maintained this car meticulously. Car was always garaged and as I stated before still has the new car smell. Car was smogged in California for 2011 and almost immediately had a TURBO CHARGER setup installed by one of San Diego's most reputable racing / motorsports shops. The owner passed away in November 2012 and the car has just been released for sale by the heirs. Installation of the turbo charger makes for a great racing machine but will never smog in California. As far as I know, the car will be legal in any of the other states. I have photographed the original window sticker and you should be able to read it with ebay zoom. I have also photographed the California certificate of title and you should be able to read that as well. Currently, the Kelly blue book range for excellent condition is above $10K for private party sale price. I cannot say that the turbo increases the car's value nor does it really decrease the value. I will comment that the performence with this setup is UN-REAL!!!! I have never experienced driving a car like this! One surprise was that the exhaust noise level is not offensive but I am sure that is louder than normal but have nothing to compare it to. Tires are MICHELIN Pilot Exalto A/S from Costco and filled with nitrogen and have plenty of tread. Mileage again is 65,105. Just installed a brand new battery! For any questions you may call (760) 788-0775 and if no answer please leave message. All things considered, it would be best if buyer or buyers agent looked at the car and test drove it before taking delivery or having it shipped. If need be I would be glad to provide the reference of the person I sold the other vehicle to last week from this estate. He came in from Nevada and has since driven back with no problems and registered the truck. Shipping a car like this all the way across the country can run $900 to $1000. I never send the vehicle and the title together....title always follows registered mail once the vehicle has been received. I know someone will LOVE THIS CAR. We have been selling on ebay since 7/'98....always try our best to describe things as they are to keep our 100% positive feedback reputation....However, car to be sold AS-IS!! we CANNOT offer or imply any type of warranty with this vehicle or any used vehicle. We cannot accept ANY responsibility concerning smog certification if California resident purchases car. AS-IS!! Listing price, $9450. Thank you for taking the time to look!

Honda recalling 25k Odyssey minivans over side curtain airbags
Fri, 02 May 2014Honda's refreshed 2014 Odyssey (now with 100-percent more vacuum power!) launched last year, but is now being called back for issues related to the side curtain airbags. According to Honda, 24,889 Odyssey minivans are affected by an issue that may cause the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) warning light to illuminate or, even worse, cause the side airbags to not deploy in a crash.
What went wrong, exactly? We'll let Honda explain:
During assembly of the electrical coupler for the side curtain airbag on the passenger's side of the vehicle, it is possible that the shorting terminal, which is used to prevent deployment of the airbag before it is assembled into the vehicle, may have been damaged. A damaged shorting terminal may illuminate the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) indicator as well as prevent the side curtain airbag from deploying during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Consumer Reports says these are the worst new cars of 2014
Thu, 27 Feb 2014Consumer Reports has announced its annual list of worst vehicles, a cringe-inducing contrast to its list of top vehicles. Ignominiously leading the way in 2014 is Chrysler, which has a staggering seven models listed.
Jeep nearly sweeps the small SUV segment by itself, with its Compass, Patriot and 2.4-liter version of the new Cherokee, while the only midsize sedans listed by CR were the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger. The new Dodge Dart and the Dodge Journey round out CR's condemnation of Chrysler.
Ford is taking heat as well, with the Taurus, Edge and their counterparts from Lincoln all listed as the worst vehicles in their respective segments. Toyota doesn't fare much better, with its Lexus IS, Scion iQ and tC also making the list.
Honda previews S660 roadster ahead of Tokyo debut
Wed, 23 Oct 2013Honda isn't known for making convertibles. In fact, legend has it that old man Soichiro banned them from his lineup - but then he also didn't approve of six-cylinder engines, either. There have been exceptions, like the Civic del Sol and S2000, and today Honda has revealed another.
Set to debut at the forthcoming Tokyo Motor Show in late November is the Honda S660 concept, a compact little roadster about which Honda is saying even less. It looks about the size of a Kei car, with a nameplate that suggests a 660cc engine, making it more of a revival for the 1990's Beat than the high-end S2000. And while there are some clear similarities with the EV-STER concept that debuted two years ago in Tokyo, the S660 looks closer to production-ready, with key features like an actual steering wheel.
Of course, whether the S660 makes production, and beyond that makes it off of the Japanese islands and across the Pacific to US showrooms, is another matter, but we could see something like this taking the fight to the Mazda MX-5 and even the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ if it did.
