You are bidding on a 2006 Honda Civic 4-door sedan EX in very good condition and with with low miles. I'm the original owner, and this is my 4th Honda Civic since 1977. Whether you buy my car or someone else's, I recommend Honda Civics highly, and I personally guarantee you will be very satisfied with this one---if not, feel free to walk away, no harm, no foul. It's a fantastic car with no known defects. I do not smoke, allow pets, or eat in my car, so the inside is like new without any odd smells. Although the paint is not perfect, it's been garage-kept and still shines up nicely. All maintenance is up-to-date (records available), and the battery is brand new. The car handles well, is fun to drive, and the seats are really comfortable for long trips. There is no hump in the back floor, a nice feature for times when you need to transport 5 people. I normally drive the car to maximize fuel economy (folks call that 'hyper-miling' because the goal is to get better-than-EPA estimated mileage), and as a result, the car has not been abused in any way. I've been averaging about 34 miles per gallon of mostly suburban driving. Driving on the highway even at 70+ MPH, the car gets about 37 miles per gallon thanks to it's aerodynamic body. If your view of performance differs from mine, you'll probably appreciate the 130 horse-power engine, 5-speed manual transmission, excellent suspension, moon-roof, and alloy wheels. It's also got all the convenience features you expect including a jack for your iPod or other audio device. It's a safe, solid car for you and your loved ones. In 2006, the Honda Civic was Motor Trend's Car of the Year for many reasons.
Why am I selling? Well, my wife makes do with just 1 vehicle, a Honda CRV. Somehow, I have 5 vehicles at the moment, so this one should go to a new home. Oddly, if I could have only 1, this would be it, but since I can have more, I have a bunch of special-purpose vehicles. This Civic is the most cost-effective of any of our vehicles (75% of them are Hondas), and it does a lot of things very well. How the Ram Multifunction Tailgate compares to Ford, GMC, Honda
Wed, Feb 6 2019Ram just announced its Multifunction Tailgate — a descriptive if not very creative name. It's an asymmetrical barn-door arrangement, which can both fold down like a conventional tailgate or swing open like a gate. There's a new bed step, but unlike Ford or GM, the step isn't part of the tailgate itself. Rather, it kicks out from under the bumper (as opposed to out from under the driver's side of the rear bumper in its previous incarnation). So let's just focus on the tailgate functionality. A video of the Ram Multifunction Tailgate in action is above. For one, either of the swinging tailgate sections can be opened independently. They open to a full 88 degrees. In conventional flip-down mode, the tailgate works just like a normal one, too, with a 2,000-pound rating. The bottom line is that while it gives a variety of types of access to the load area, it doesn't "do" anything else. It's a $995 option on any Ram 1500. Its closest analogue is the Honda Ridgeline, which works basically the same way, but on that truck the tailgate swings as one piece. And the Honda's load rating isn't as hefty as the Ram's tailgate: 300 pounds. As Honda says, that's sufficient to hold the weight of the part of an ATV hanging out of the bed, or something similar, but it's a lighter-duty unit (and a lighter-duty truck) than the Ram's overall. Let's also get Ford's one-trick tailgate out of the way before comparing to the more analogous, and complicated, GM MultiPro. A bit of trivia: Ford's optional Tailgate Step is actually designed and supplied by Multimatic, better known as the outfit that builds the Ford GT and produces the DSSV spool-valve shocks. This step has been available for years. It pulls out of the top edge of the tailgate when the tailgate is lowered, deploying a single step. A separate handle pulls out from beside the step and flips up, giving a handhold. While it was initially (and infamously) mocked by competitors, with load floor heights as high as they are it's better than toting around a stepstool. It's currently a $375 standalone option. Now we get to the GMC MultiPro tailgate, the most complicated and multi-functioned around. It's essentially a tailgate within a tailgate, with a fold-out stopper that deploys from the inner tailgate. This gives it several functions depending on the position of all the parts. It can still be used like a normal tailgate, dropping down at the push of a button or using the key fob.

It's been a rough ride for the Honda Insight, and now its journey appears to be at an end - word is that the five-door hybrid hatchback is going out of production.
Honda may recall up to 1M vehicles for airbag issue, following Toyota's lead
Mon, 16 Jun 2014It seems Toyota won't be the only one recalling the faulty Takata airbag inflators for long. Honda insiders in Japan claim that the company is getting close to announcing its own worldwide campaign that would begin before the end of June.
Unnamed sources close to Honda in Japan tell Automotive News that the company is pursuing an internal investigation into possibly affected models and is working with Takata to gather more information. They claim that it could involve even more than the 1.14 million cars worldwide that the automaker covered under the first recall for the problem in April 2013, including 561,000 vehicles in the US.
Toyota jumpstarted this process last week when it recalled over 2 million cars worldwide, including 844,277 in the US. Soon after, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration began a preliminary evaluation into the issue following six reported incidents, and started assembling data about potentially affected models from Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Chrysler. NHTSA also began investigating Takata itself.
