CASH ON PICK UP ONLY

Mileage: 237,276

( Mileage may change if I have to drive it for any reason)

I recently was promoted at work and they gave me a company car to drive back and forth, so I am selling my 2002 Honda civic. It has been a great car for me but I can't pay for the insurance if I am not going to drive it.

There are some small defects cosmetically such as:

Rear driver's side door has paint missing on the plastic trim,

on the Top of the trunk there is a small spot of rust,

Back of trunk there is a dent with rust,

Dent on passenger side rear door,

 Various surface scratches

Everything listed above is shown in the pictures.

Rear Windows Do Not Work

A/C, Cruise control, seat belts, CD player All work.

I have not had any problems out of the motor, I replaced the alternator a year ago and that's all I have done besides change the oil. I drive 52 miles a day and this car has saved me a truck load in gas. I live in southern Ohio and last winter it got to -10 to -15 for two weeks straight and this car started every time.  It seems to me that it snowed at least 4 to 6" almost every other week and I never missed a day's work, this Honda went everywhere I needed it to go.

I have done my best to describe the vehicle accurately, It has been a good car for me, However I make no guarantees and it is sold as is so please keep that in mind.

I welcome all questions so please ask away.

This car is also listed locally so I reserve the right to end the listing at anytime.

* I HAVE LISTED THIS CAR THREE TIMES AND ALL THREE TIMES OF IT BEING SOLD THE BUYER HAS NOT CAME TO EVEN LOOK AT THE CAR, MUCH LESS BUY IT. SO IN ORDER TO GET MORE SERIOUS BUYERS, I WILL BE REQUIREING A $500.00 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT THOUGH PAY-PAL. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY I KNOW TO GET SERIOUS BUYERS.*

Honda launches new Fit in Japan, has big expectations for North America

Thu, 05 Sep 2013

Honda has officially launched the Fit sub-compact in its home market, ahead of its eventual arrival in North America. The third-generation Fit is wildly important for Honda, with the company's president, Takanobu Ito, saying, "This is the most important model."
The third-generation Fit is a ground-up reworking of the car that we've come to know. It will pioneer Honda's new design language, Exciting H Design (seriously) and will also be the very first Fit to be manufactured in North America. Thanks to a Mexican factory that is scheduled to open in the spring of 2014, Honda will be able to produce 200,000 Fits for the North American market in North America, saving the brand a huge amount of cash.
As for that Exciting H Design, it's meant to be sleeker and more modern, according to Automotive News. It's not bad looking, but the overall design is far less important than what's under that hood. The vehicle you see above is a Fit RS, which has quite a resemblance to the rumored Fit Mugen. There's not a lot of detail on this model, but based on looks alone, we certainly hope it'll be coming to the North American market - it'd make a great Fit Sport. A hybrid variant will also come to the US market, and that car is returning impressive numbers on the Japanese cycle: 86 miles per gallon so far, thanks to the combination of an 1.5-liter, Atkinson-cycle, four-cylinder engine and a seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission. That's a 35-percent improvement over the current, JDM Fit Hybrid.

Honda may recall up to 1M vehicles for airbag issue, following Toyota's lead

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

It seems Toyota won't be the only one recalling the faulty Takata airbag inflators for long. Honda insiders in Japan claim that the company is getting close to announcing its own worldwide campaign that would begin before the end of June.
Unnamed sources close to Honda in Japan tell Automotive News that the company is pursuing an internal investigation into possibly affected models and is working with Takata to gather more information. They claim that it could involve even more than the 1.14 million cars worldwide that the automaker covered under the first recall for the problem in April 2013, including 561,000 vehicles in the US.
Toyota jumpstarted this process last week when it recalled over 2 million cars worldwide, including 844,277 in the US. Soon after, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration began a preliminary evaluation into the issue following six reported incidents, and started assembling data about potentially affected models from Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Chrysler. NHTSA also began investigating Takata itself.

Honda recalling 204k CR-V, Odyssey, Acura RDX models over rollaway risk

Fri, 19 Apr 2013

Honda has announced a recall over a possible rollaway risk that affects 204,169 crossover and minivan models. The specific vehicles in question are the 2012-13 Honda CR-V and Odyssey, as well as the 2013 Acura RDX.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, "the brake-shift interlock blocking mechanism may become slow and allow the gear selector to be moved from the Park position without pressing the brake pedal." In other words, these vehicles could unintentionally roll away.
NHTSA states that this scenario may only happen during sub-freezing temperatures, but notes that this means the vehicles fail to conform with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 114: Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention. Honda will notify owners of the problem, and dealerships will install an updated interlocking mechanism free of charge.
