1999 99 Honda Civic Ex Coupe Jdm Type R on 2040-cars
York, Pennsylvania, United States
1999 HONDA CIVIC EX 2 DOOR COUPE 1.6L VTEC AUTOMATIC 168,xxx MILES RUNS AND DRIVES GOOD Power windows; locks; steering; brakes; moonroof; and air conditioning. Everything works, but passenger side window is slow moving. Four good, all matching tires. Passenger side rear wheel bearing replaced recently. Rear brakes; drums and shoes, replaced recently. Front brakes; Rotors and pads, replaced one year ago. Transmission replaced at 155,xxx miles. This is a USED transmission that I installed. Replaced headliner with new material. Engine has new distributor cap & rotor, spark plug wires and spark plugs. New JL Audio 6x9 rear speakers. New Auto Custom Carpets red Civic Type-R style replacement carpet. Original OEM factory CD radio Rear turn signal bulbs converted to Red bulbs LED License plate bulbs Equipped with “ebay JDM style:” N1 Style exhaust with test pipe (no cat) and silencer Civic Type-R style black housing headlights with ZXE HID style bulbs Civic Type-R style grille (also have original grille) Civic Type-R style red front seats with seat brackets (faux suede) JDM style fog lights (yellow lens) – NOT INSTALLED ******** THE BAD STUFF ******** While this car has no rust issues, it does have it’s share of dents and scratches. The car was originally black, but the previous owner had the car painted grey. The paint job needs to be redone as it is fading and peeling. The PA State Inspection and Emission have been done and are good through 10/14. There is an issue with the rear bumper cover. Someone hit the bumper and caused the bumper cover to crack. I had to cut off one section as there was no way to reattach it to the car. So, the rear bumper cover will need to be replaced. The previous owner also smoked in this car. I have removed all trim and cleaned everything. There are little, if any, smoke smell left inside. Also, the sun visors will need to be replaced. I have the original sun visor, but they are in rough shape. Overall, this has been a good car and reliable. I have driven this car +12,000 miles, mostly highway, and have had no issues. It would be a decent first car for a young driver or a good second car. This car needs nothing to drive today. If you have any questions, or would like to see this car, please contact me. This is not a show car, so please ask questions before bidding. Please note: There are no warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied. This car is sold “as is.” This car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. EXTRAS: 1. New OEM Honda front bumper cover 2. New Aftermarket Left & Right fenders 3. Honda launches Project Drive-In to save these American icons
Mon, 12 Aug 2013Honda wasn't really a major player in the automotive industry when drive-in movie theaters were popular in the US, but the automaker is doing its best to preserve the place where automotive and cinema histories collide. Using Project Drive-In, Honda is helping bring awareness to a story we brought up last month, where we saw how a move away from 35-millimeter film could put some of the few drive-in theaters remaining in the US out of business.
As production studios switch to digital film, theaters are required to upgrade to digital projectors, which Honda says will cost about $80,000 for drive-ins. While Project Drive-In asks people to donate money to the cause or pledge to go to a drive-in theater, Honda will also be donating projectors to five of the remaining drive-ins based on votes received on its website. Scroll down to watch a short video describing Project Drive-In, and be sure to vote, pledge and even contribute to save the drive-ins.
Honda says Accord is America's best-selling car among actual consumers
Fri, 21 Feb 2014The latest round of new vehicle registration data has been good for Honda - three of the Japanese brand's models are retail sales leaders and the Accord was the most registered car built in America in 2013, according to the data compiled by Polk. In fact, 360,089 units of the family sedan were purchased by individual consumers last year, an increase of 12.2 percent.
There was also good news from the Civic and CR-V camps, as those two models topped their respective segments in terms of retail (non-fleet) sales, with each notching over 300,000 registrations. Combined with the Accord, this trio of Hondas accounted for a whopping 1.11 million retail sales last year.
Honda spokesperson Sage Marie reflected on Polk's findings, telling Autoblog:
