Welcome! You are bidding on an amazing 1st Generation Civic. The paint is original, the engine is original, I have the original window sticker and owners manual from the original dealer. Everything you can think of mechanically has been replaced and restored. I've taken this car to several body shops because my dream was to restore the vehicle back to showroom condition and they were all of the same opinion that the car is worth more in its present condition than if I were to have it painted. It's won two competitions at the Maryland International Raceway because most people didn't even know what it was. It's virtually rust free, one small area under the front left fender light, two small areas under the left passenger pop out window and that's all. There is no rust under the vehicle, which is amazing for it's age. It's certainly a head turner!!! I've taken much pride in keeping it as original as possible and there's nothing fast and the furious about it. Sounds the same as it did in 1976 and has 52-54 horse power.

The original engine was re-manufactured by Jasper a few years back and only has about 1500 miles on it. The odometer says 55,000 miles but does not go to the hundred thousands. I've had it inspected and some say the mileage is accurate, others say if it isn't then it has a maximum of 155,000 miles. The VIN and Engine ID on the original window sticker match, this is something that you just won't find for a car like this.
I've owned the vehicle since April 2007 and am the 3rd owner.
The radiator has been re-cored.
The exhaust, to include the muffler has been replaced all the way to the flange.
The brakes were just done, to include the front pads and calipers, the shoes and wheel cylinders and the master cylinder.
New alternator, water pump, timing belt, clutch, clutch cable, distributor, cap and rotor, battery, tires (12"), horn, NGK spark plugs and wires, ignition coil, all belts and hoses. You name it, it's been replaced and in perfect running condition.

The only thing not original is the stereo which was installed by the previous owner and the carburetor. I have the original carb with the original air cleaner that will go along with the sale.

I bought the vehicle sight unseen with only 5 pictures to go by for $3750, had it shipped from Washington State to Maryland and have since put 4 times that amount into it. A real Honda Civic enthusiasts dream!!!

I'm a private seller. Please only serious inquiries only. Please do not contact me to help me attempt to sell this vehicle or try to scam me in any way. I do not want to sell the Civic but the times are what they are and I need the money.

Thank you very much for looking and if you have further questions, please feel free to contact me!

Honda launches Project Drive-In to save these American icons

Mon, 12 Aug 2013

Honda wasn't really a major player in the automotive industry when drive-in movie theaters were popular in the US, but the automaker is doing its best to preserve the place where automotive and cinema histories collide. Using Project Drive-In, Honda is helping bring awareness to a story we brought up last month, where we saw how a move away from 35-millimeter film could put some of the few drive-in theaters remaining in the US out of business.
As production studios switch to digital film, theaters are required to upgrade to digital projectors, which Honda says will cost about $80,000 for drive-ins. While Project Drive-In asks people to donate money to the cause or pledge to go to a drive-in theater, Honda will also be donating projectors to five of the remaining drive-ins based on votes received on its website. Scroll down to watch a short video describing Project Drive-In, and be sure to vote, pledge and even contribute to save the drive-ins.

Watch Obama kick the ball around with Honda's latest ASIMO

Sat, 26 Apr 2014

Bend it like Obama. The Commander-In-Chief was just in Japan for a state visit, and his trip took him to a science expo, where he played a bit of soccer with Honda's latest ASIMO robot. The entire scene was captured on video, and showed the innovative robot as it ran, hopped and kicked a soccer ball to a bemused President Obama.
ASIMO had a number of upgrades ahead of its meeting with the president, which were originally shown off to the crowds at the 2014 New York Auto Show. These tweaks to the 110-pound robot included a number of changes in both its upper and lower body to improve stability, speed and balance. Although not shown in this video, Honda claims the lower-body upgrades allow ASIMO to climb faster and more smoothly than ever before. Its hands are more dexterous and expressive, as well, while new sensors give it an even better sense of touch.
Before ASIMO smoothly and effortlessly jogged across the stage, the robot and the President had a brief chat. According to The Wall Street Journal, Obama later told students at the Miraikan Science Expo in Tokyo that ASIMO and the other robots at the fair "were a little scary. They were too lifelike."
