This is one of the very nicest CRX we have ever come across. It looks like it has 30k miles on it. The paint is original and shines like new. There are no major dings dents or scratches on the car. As you can see from the photos the paint still has a new car shine. It has always been garaged and never driven in winter. All rubber and glass and trim pieces are near perfect. You can search forever and not find another CRX in this condition. The interior is absolutely as new. No rips no stains no odors of any kind. It is sometimes hard to describe the difference in a good car interior and a great car interior. This interior is great. Almost flawless. It shows no wear and no smoothing out of plastic surfaces like the steering wheel or the door panels where arm wear might normally occur. Just incredible. I found this car at a honda dealership sitting in their showroom. Mechanically the car runs as new. Extremely tight with no shimmies shakes or rattles. The timing belt and water pump are new. The tires and exhaust are also new. There are no modifications whatsoever to this CRX. There are no signs of rust anywhere on the car with the exceptions of a bit of surface rust on the license plate bracket plate. Very common and easily replaced for 20 dollars or so. Honda will build 2014 Accord Hybrid in Ohio
Thu, 10 Jan 2013Honda has announced that it will invest $23 million in its Marysville, Ohio facility to support production of the upcoming 2014 Accord Hybrid sedan. According to the manufacturer, this means approximately 50 new jobs will be created, and the whole investment will result in a 95,000-square-foot expansion of the Marysville plant.
The Accord Hybrid joins the decidedly homely Accord PHEV (pictured) this fall, using a 2.0-liter i-VTEC Atkinson cycle four-cylinder engine mated to a 124-kilowatt electric motor. Honda has yet to release official power or fuel economy figures for the non-plug-in hybrid version of the Accord.
Honda currently operates four manufacturing facilities in Ohio, with the combined capacity to build up to 700,000 cars and light trucks each year. The Japanese automaker also has a facility in Greensburg, Indiana, where the Civic Hybrid and Acura ILX Hybrid are built.
Honda tweaks ad after catching ire from Detroit protesters [w/video]
Mon, 27 Jan 2014Honda has released a revised version of its youth-focused Today is Pretty Great commercial because the original used footage of Detroit bankruptcy protesters in front of the Theodore Levin US Courthouse. The protesters felt that Honda was making fun of their plight. The new version cuts out the protestors and replaces them with a close-up of a bankruptcy court sign. Honda says that it never intended to tie the ad to Detroit and made the change to avoid that appearance.
"The slight change we made to the commercial simply reflects our desire to remove anything that would get in the way our uplifting message," said Honda spokesman Steve Kinkade in a statement to The Detroit News.
Honda's footage of the protestors lasted about one second in the original ad. It blurred the protestors' faces, and the name of the courthouse was not visible. The company said that the footage was meant to represent any courthouse in the US. Both versions have about five seconds of negative imagery at the beginning before transitioning to young people saying that there are some great things about today too.
