This CRX Si has been diligently maintained by the original owner and myself. Garaged since new and never driven in winters it has no rust whatsoever on the body. There are a few stone chips on the hood and one tiny parking lot ding but you'll have to squint to see it. Some of the rubber around the windows is showing it's age too but nothing serious. I purchased the car on eBay about three years ago and it's been my summer daily driver ever since. Engine starts up every time and there are no known mechanical problems.
Under my ownership the following has been replaced: all brake pads and front rotors (Honda parts), front and rear struts (KYB), muffler (brand new!), catalytic converter, battery (Interstate - new this year), ignitor, all tires (Yokohoma - last fall), front axles, rear control arm bushings, radio (Honda w/CD player), speakers, and the rear hatch cover.
The inside of the car looks excellent too. All the controls work perfectly and the air conditioner still blows cold air but it is a bit slower than when the car was new. The sunroof works fine. No rips or tears in the seats. Included in the sale is several new spare parts (oil filters, timing belt, etc), a factory service manual, many receipts, the original window sticker, and even the original bill of sale from the dealer. The Autocheck report will show two accidents. (from previous owner) One was simply a close encounter of the rearview mirror with a mailbox requiring the driver's door to be repainted. (looks fine) I have no idea what the other incident is about - there is absolutely no damage to the front end of this car so it must have been very minor. 2014 Honda Odyssey gets some tidy tweaks [w/video]
Wed, 27 Mar 2013Here in New York, Honda is offering up a refreshed version of its well-liked Odyssey minivan, bringing with it a slew of updates including the segment's first in-car vacuum. It looks to be a neat little feature, one that families will no doubt get a lot of use out of. Kids are spill-machines, after all.
On the outside, the Odyssey gets a revised front end with dark headlamp surrounds, shiny cross-bars in the grille, and an aluminum hood and bumper. We think the blacked-out grille trim looks fine on this charcoal model, but question how smart it will look on models with lighter paint tones. Out back, there are new LED taillamps, and it looks like a new wheel design will be on offer, too.
Other changes for the 2014 Odyssey include some structural reinforcements for improved safety and some new available nannies like lane-departure warning and forward collision warning. Inside, buyers will find new finishes inside the cabin, a redesigned center stack and pushbutton start. Mon, 01 Apr 2013Happy April, everyone. And we all know what this first day of the month means: April Fools' Day. Today is a national holiday for pranksters with the Internet acting as a serious enabler, and it's always fun to see what kind of vivid imaginations exist out there in the automotive world. The abundance of fake news gets a little old as the day rolls on, but we did manage to get in a few chuckles thanks to a handful of major automakers and automotive news outlets that got into the pranking spirit this year
Some of our favorites this year includes Subaru showing what happens when you combine a bunch of rumors, a Corvette some may have already thought was a joke or Honda providing some in-car innovation circa the late 1980s. Honestly, we're still waiting for official confirmation from Mitsubishi that the recently introduced 2014 Mirage is an elaborate April Fools' joke using a failed design intended for the 1995 Geo Metro. We dug up as much "official" OEM foolishness we could find, as well as some of our other favorites, and posted them all below.
