Up for sale today is my step fathers one owner 1991 Honda CRX Si 5 speed that has been maintained only at the dealership in Walnut Creek Ca. since new. This car runs and drives great and other than a broken arm on the right side of the steering wheel is mechanically in great shape. The inside has all original everything save for the stereo and the seat covers that have been on since new as well. The drivers seat has wear from entering the car and the passenger is perfect. There are no codes of any kind and this car starts right up and will go anywhere. The paint is oxidized and the clearcoat is peeling in places. Anything that needed replaced or fixed was always done so and the car was my step fathers baby so the inside was always kept perfect save the middle armrest that he always had a pillow over. The tires have maybe 5,000 miles on them. The car was a daily driver until my step father got ill and we had to take his keys the day he dented the driver side fender and broke the arm on the steering wheel. It was registered as non op and all the fees were just payed by my mother last month.

Finalists for 2014 Green Car of the Year announced
Thu, 17 Oct 2013The list of finalists for the 2014 Green Car of the Year has been announced, and in a genuinely bizarre twist, there's only one hybrid and no electric vehicles among the five contestants, despite the arrival of cars like the BMW i3 and Tesla Model S. Taking the place of the EVs are a pair of diesels, repping a technology that last won a Green Car of the Year award in 2009, when the Audi A3 TDI took the title. No diesel was in the running for last year's award.
Naturally, both of the diesel finalists are fielded by the Germans - with BMW's 328d and Audi's A6 TDI getting the nod. In the case of the 3 Series, BMW installed a 2.0-liter, turbodiesel, capable of delivering 180 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, while returning 45 miles per gallon on the highway. Audi and its larger, 3.0-liter, V6 turbodiesel produce quite a bit more grunt, with 240 hp and 428 lb-ft of grunt, but net a very impressive 38 mpg on the highway in the A6.
Finalists for this year's awards include two diesels, three gas-powered cars and a plug-in hybrid.
Honda demonstrates new Vehicle-to-Pedestrian safety tech [w/video]
Fri, 30 Aug 2013We're fresh from a balmy rooftop deck in downtown Detroit, where Honda held a meeting this week to discuss and demonstrate a few upcoming advanced safety features. A clear focus of the mini event was the company's new Vehicle-to-Pedestrian (V2P) technology, with a suite of Vehicle-to-Motorcycle (V2M) tech a significant second course.
With spirits still high from announcing the 2014 Odyssey as the first minivan to win the Top Safety Pick+ status from IIHS - and after seeing the application of new high-strength-steel sections of the Acura MDX body structure - Honda shared the fruits of some safety tech that is still in the research phase.
Honda builds custom Civic Si based on Forza Motorsport design contest
Fri, 07 Feb 2014Forza Motorsport games are known for a few things, one of which is the extensive range of customization options available for each car. Gamers have complete control over the look and size of wheels, window tints, paints and decals, as well as various different finishes. For Forza Motorsport 5, players even have access to carbon fiber, gold, chrome, brass and camouflaged finishes.
To celebrate this, Honda held a little contest among gamers that challenged them to prepare a custom Civic Si. The winner would see their design applied to an actual car and shown at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show. This is that car. Designed by Tiffany Labedz, it was one of 170 entries in the Forza Motorsport Civic Si Design Contest. It took the title, with 17,000 votes from members of the Forza community.
