2001 Honda Cr-v Lx Real-time 4wd Sport Utility 4-door 2.0l 1-owner No Reserve on 2040-cars
Fernandina Beach, Florida, United States
NO-RESERVE, 1-owner, Florida car, non-smoker, garage kept, great looking and running mechanical condition. This is my friends wifes car and they sold their house, as they were transferred to Dallas and left it behind, and asked me to sell it on Ebay for them. I have a clean Florida title in their name and all the legal paperwork to do so. I will tell you everything I know about the truck. ALL of the damage has already been listed and the last 7-pics detail the damage. Otherwise this is a great looking SUV both inside & out, and great running as well. The SUV had been sitting for 6-7 months and just had the following repairs done at a local reputable auto-repair facility last week to make it driveable & saleable. 1-A/C system blower motor. 2-Drivers window regulator. 3-Cooling system fan & motor. 4-A/C compressor clutch. 5-Radiator. 6-Cooling system flushed & refilled with fresh coolant. 7-Oil & filter change. The total cost of those repairs was almost $1,000.00. Other than a minor repair & repaint to the tailgate years ago, and the current body damage, the body & paint are ORIGINAL. The exterior paint is in great condition except for the flaws mentioned. The ONLY rust on the entire body, including the bottom of the doors, is around the windshield. The interior is in great condition, except for some minor stains in the seats which I'm sure will come out, NO rips or tears anywhere, including the carpet. Everything works and operates properly and the way it is supposed to. The tires are all a matched set in great shape replaced back in 5/12 with less-than 3,000 miles on them. If you live far away, fly into Jax In'tl Airport and I will pick you up. Otherwise, I will assist with shipping the car at your COST. Your dealing with a fellow Ebayer for over 7-yrs with 100% POSITIVE feedback that is very trustworthy, if you like, check out the POSITIVE feedback from my families last 3-car sales earlier this year on my account. My wifes 1-owner 94 Trans Am for $5,500 on 7/30/13, my youngest sons 1998 Cobra (which was originally my car since new) for $7,200 on 5/28/13, my 1-owner 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid for $5,500 on 4/29/13. We came up with the LOW price of $3,000 opening bid (NO-reserve) from watching some past & current rusted-out, full of body-damage, or not RUNNING at all 97-98-99 CRV's with 186,000-212,000 miles SOLD for $2,000-$2,500. And we just spent almost $1,000 to make this SUV safe and reliable again. This SUV is 12-yrs old with almost 120,000 miles and is being sold AS-IS, NO warranties expressed or implied. |

eBay Find of the Day: Why this motorcycle's a deal at $135k
Mon, 10 Feb 2014There can be no doubt that Soichiro Honda left a lasting legacy by lending his engineering talents to the company that bears his name. This can be said particularly of motorcycles, and the company outdid itself when it introduced the 1969 CB750. Widely considered the world's first superbike, it combined a then-powerful 67-horsepower, 736cc, inline four-cylinder engine and cutting edge tech for motorcycles at the time like an electric start and front disc brake. It is simply one of the most important motorcycles ever made, and now one of four handmade prototypes is up for auction on eBay Motors.
According to the seller, Honda had an idea that it had something special with the CB750 and built four preproduction models to be shown off to American media in 1968. Each one was hand-built by Honda technicians from bespoke components, and this blue/green model was photographed by magazines and for promotional material at the time. The seller believes that one of the four prototypes was destroyed, one is in Europe and one is unknown, which means this may be the only chance for collectors to get their hands on one.
The bike has prompted quite a bidding war with 97 bids registered as of this writing. With about seven hours left to go in the auction, the top big currently sits at $135,300. At this rate, things could get very exciting at the end. Although to own a prototype for the first super bike, it might be worth it.
Acura organizes new business division to confront falling sedan sales
Wed, 26 Feb 2014Honda and Acura North America have announced a major restructuring of operations in hopes of turning around Acura's flagging business. For 2013, sales for Acura's sedans dropped 10.4 percent, while its CUV sales grew by 21 percent. The newly formed Acura Business Planning Office will attempt to right the ship.
As part of the restructuring, Acura is promoting Erik Berkman from President of Honda R&D Americas to lead a new division called the Acura Business Planning Office. Berkman has been with Honda since 1982 and led development of the 2006 Accord. He was also the first US engineer to head North American research and development and has been head of Honda Performance Development since 2008. "Erik's appointment to the new Acura Business Planning Office is a clear indication of the high priority we place on Acura," said Honda spokesperson Jeffrey Smith to Automotive News.
American Honda Motor President and CEO Tetsuo Iwamura is also going to be working to improve the business. He has been elected chairman of American Honda's board, and has simultaneously taken the new position of Corporate Brand Officer to improve the management of the company's brands.
Honda boss says Chinese drivers don't want green cars
Wed, 24 Apr 2013According to The Wall Street Journal, Honda CEO Takanobu Ito believes that China's nascent car-buying demographic isn't all that interested in hybrid cars - at least not yet. The emissions story doesn't resonate with them, and certainly not for the higher purchase premium such models usually carry. What they really want, Ito believes, is reliable, affordable cars that fit their needs. When it comes to Honda sales, the numbers would appear to jibe with his thoughts: Honda sold 598,577 vehicles in China last year through its two joint ventures, yet just 542 of them were hybrids - not even a tenth of a percent. However, Toyota sold 840,500 cars in China last year, and two percent of that total, 17,300 units, were hybrids, which is closer to the still-piddling three-percent ratio of sales that Toyota posted in the US last year.
Honda offers the Insight, Fit Hybrid and CR-Z in China and plans to make components for its Integrated Motor Assist hybrid system there from next year, the hope being it will reduce the cost of hybrid cars for local buyers. That was one part of the plan Honda laid out last year to popularize its IMA system in China. Other initiatives include the introduction of a new hybrid system for mid-sized and large vehicles and a plug-in hybrid. Among the four new vehicles Honda showed during this weekend's press day for the Shanghai Motor Show (including the Concept M minivan pictured above) there was not a single hybrid among them.
