Up for auction is a wrecked 2007 Honda Accord 4 door EX-L. The car has all options except navagation. Fully loaded. The car had a minor rear end impact. I have installed a used trunk lid and re-installed the rear bumper cover. There is NO frame damage . No damage to the rear bumper reinforcment or trunk pan. The rear body panel and left tailight pocket and rear bumper cover will need to be replaced. The right rear quarter panel has about 4 hours repair. No buckles in the roof or quarters. Doors open and shut perfect. This car will run and drive anywhere you want to go. Very nice builder. Light up high hit. Thie is not a 4cyl base model so bid accordingly... How Seinfeld hopes he'll help industry make better car commercials [w/video]
Fri, 04 Oct 2013Bloomberg has a fascinating look into a web series that continues to be a favorite around the Autoblog offices - Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. The series, which is in its second season, sees the affable comedian picking up fellow comedians in a range of interesting cars, and having conversations with them over the drive and a cup of joe.
The piece by Bloomberg dives into the development of the series, as well as Seinfeld's tie-up with Acura, which saw the Honda-owned brand begin sponsorship this season. That relationship started not with his web series, though, but with a Super Bowl ad, alongside fellow funnyman and car enthusiast Jay Leno, that saw them competing over a new Acura NSX. Honda CR-V spot delights with 'impossible' illusions
Thu, 24 Oct 2013Mind-blowing car commercials that employ optical illusions and jaw-clenching stunts instead of computer animation are becoming the norm these days, and everybody from Volvo Trucks to Forza Motorsport 5/McLaren are regular contributors to the growing trend. Honda joins the crowd in its latest European commercial for the CR-V 1.6 i-DTEC Diesel, and uses well-placed props and well-drawn imagery to trick viewers into seeing the "impossible."
The old-fashioned optical illusion is alive and well in Honda's "An Impossible, Made Possible" spot, so go ahead and watch it and the making-of video below.
