This was originally a Canadian vehicule , 2004 Yukon XL 2500 4X4 8.1 liters, has all the toys, Kenwood DVD,GPS CD , MP3 Bluetooth,rear view camera, rear DVDs in headrests with Wireless headphones, heated front seats with driver side memory(on the remotes also) adjustable pedals, Volant washable air filter system, new tires(3000miles)LT265/75R-16 Michelin LTX M/S2 E ( $1000.00 installed )and new helper springs ( ultra springs $ 450.00) great improvement with heavy load and also more stability...autoride rear shock were removed by the previous owner,that is why i've put the helpers...runs and drives perfectly ,4X4 works perfect, differential ratio is 3.73 , ice cold a/c ,leather interior,... I have the previous owners service record...this is a smoke free vehicule...Frame and underneath oil treated every 2 years against rust and corrosion...Bolts manifold bolts were changed by the previous owner...has a small gasket leak when cold..don't hear it when at running temperature..original paint...this is an above average auto ckeck vehicule.... GM claims it's first to sell million 30+ mpg vehicles
Fri, 04 Jan 2013As we continue to put together all the data for the year-end edition of By The Numbers, General Motors has announced that it sold more than a million vehicles in the US last year that achieved at least 30 miles per gallon on the highway. More impressively, GM managed this feat using multiple strategies including small vehicle size, turbocharged engines and hybrid or plug-in technologies across four brands (Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC) accounting for 13 separate models. This number will grow even more in 2013 thanks to cars like the all-electric Spark, the diesel Cruze, the range-extended Cadillac ELR and the Buick Encore compact CUV.
GM's small car sales were up 39 percent last year helping to attain this million-sales mark for 30-mpg models, and almost 40 percent of all GM sales consisted of cars with fuel-efficient I4 engines. In regards to more advanced means of improving fuel economy, GM says that it plans on having 500,000 vehicles with "some form of electrification" on the road by 2017.

GM also sheds parts from its pickups to boost payload ratings
Thu, 31 Jul 2014The row between Ford and Ram over who boasts the best-in-class tow rating for heavy duty pickups has revealed a number of things. Chief among them is a report that Ford removes items like the spare tire, jack, radio and center console from its vehicles in a bid to lower its base curb weight and therefore keep the truck's gross vehicle weight rating down.
For those that need a refresher, GVWR is the vehicle's curb weight plus its maximum payload. A lower GVWR allows Ford to station its F-450 among the so-called Class III pickups, despite the fact that internally, it has the makings of a more brutish Class IV truck.
Ford explains away these deletions, saying a customer could order their vehicle in such a manner. It has also come to light that Ford is not the only automaker to engage in such practices.
