Front and rear bumpers have minor scrapes in one or both corners. Driver's door side trim has minor damage towards back of door. Driver's side rear door has 2 nicks in paint. The front quarter panel has slight "waves" is about a 4x3 section near the passenger side mirror. Internally, leather has typical signs of wear - no tears or rips in leather. "Chrome film on front passenger's door lever is approximately 30% worn off. Vehicle has been broken into to steal aftermarket stereo and has been repaired to factory condition. This incorrectly shows up on CarFax as "Vehicle Theft". The police report and insurance claim state "partial theft" identifying that vehicle was broken into and stereo was stolen. I am working on correcting this. All replacement parts were new GM OEM parts."

PLEASE BE SURE TO READ THE CONDITION DESCRIPTION. It contains details of appearance imperfections and represents the vehicle's condition to the best of my knowledge.

The GMC Yukon XL Denali is packed with creature features and very few factory options are available. There are 3 factory options as mentioned above beyond all of the stock equipment: sunroof, 2nd row 60-40 split bench seat to seat a total of 8 real-sized people, and a DVD entertainment system with rear display. In addition, dealer "installed" GMC floor mats (one side carpet, other rubber) are in the vehicle and in excellent condition. After vehicle was broken into security film was added to all of the side windows to prevent the glass from shattering making it much harder for a would-be thief to get into. Additionally, the front side windows have been tinted for both security (harder to see inside) and comfort in the Kentucky summer heat.

All factory recommended maintenance has been performed by GM dealerships excluding oil changes and recent brake maintenance. Most recent oil change was approximately 2 weeks ago. New tires went on the vehicle in the last 6-8 months with better than factory ride, decreased cabin noise, and 60k warranty - far exceeding the tires that came on the vehicle. The original factory 20" wheels were removed from the vehicle with less than 150 original miles on it. The replacement wheels were same sized as the original 20"ers and wore the factory tires when wheels were purchased. Battery was replaced just a couple of months ago and measures a healthy 385 CCA per GM service tech. Wiper blades have been replaced independently as needed. One was replaced last month. I believe the driver's side blade has been replaced within the past year. Full set of brake-pads and turned discs were done within the past 3 months.

Approximately have of the vehicles post-dealer life was in the Seattle area where it served as the family transport and commuting 10-15 miles daily. Since moving to Kentucky it remains the family hauler but commute distances have increased by approximately 80%. E.g. over half of the mileage is within the past two years. The mileage includes at least 4 Louisville-Philadelphia round trips accounting for at least 5000 highway miles. To the extent I can represent it, this is a 100% smoke-free vehicle. I have never allowed smoking in the vehicle by passengers or repair/maintenance people.

The vehicle rides substantially better than my prior 2001 version. Much more quiet, controlled, and powerful. Like the older model, the vehicle excels at hauling. Massive interior storage easily handles all the "stuff" a family of 6 needed for the long trips to Philadelphia. Routinely seating 8 made carpooling and having friends or family all in one vehicle. Incredibly convenient to say the least. With the seats removed or folded down, its cargo capacity is cavernous and swallows 4x8 sheets of plywood, drywall, etc. The driver and front passenger seats are comfortable for even a 12-hour non-overnight drive. The out-board front four seats are heated and are quite popular with the family.

Finally, included are 2 sets of Pep-Boys purchased tire chains which are new and remain factory sealed, the satellite radio tuner is included, but no longer connected, and 2 sets of keys and their remote keyless entry/start FOBs. Title be sent via Fed-Ex overnight upon handing keys to transport. Signature will be required.

Purchaser responsibilities and expectations:
- Pay in USD $500 deposit within 48 hours of auction close or immediately for "buy it now".
- Full payment due within 7 days of auction close via certified funds.
- Transport arrangements for vehicle. The cost to ship from Seattle to Louisville was approximately $1200 via a well-reviewed vehicle transport company in 2011.
- Provide a signed and notarized letter releasing the seller (me) from all responsibility and liability for the vehicle once transport has signed paperwork taking vehicle into possession.
- Transfer/register vehicle in state where it is to be licensed per the requirements of the locality within 3 business days of physical possession/delivery of vehicle.
- Insurance is not required for this transaction, however, it is strongly recommended to have appropriate coverage prior to vehicle being released from my possession and per legal requirements in its destination location. Once the vehicle is signed for by transporter, the purchaser bears sole responsibility for the vehicle.
- Vehicle is sold 'AS-IS' and non-refundable. Any transferrable warranties can be transferred at purchasers expense (not included in auction price or fees).

Here are all the EVs with 800V charging available in 2024

Fri, May 31 2024

As technology advances, electric cars are improving their fast-charging times. That means less time spent waiting at a DC public charger when you’re out on the road. While Level 3 chargers used to provide a maximum of 150 kilowatts of power, 350-kW chargers are become more common, making for super-fast charging Â… if your car is capable of taking advantage of it. So how do automakers improve the charging speed of their EV batteries? Some are turning to higher voltage, specifically 800V charging. What's the difference between 800-volt charging and 400-volt charging? So how does 800V charging improve upon the more common 400V EVs? Put simply, the higher the voltage, the less amperage (current) it requires to charge. In other words, with more voltage, you get more wattage (power, aka charge rate) from the same amperage (current). 800V architecture is also more efficient, with less electrical resistance, so it can use thinner cables and smaller, lighter components while needing less cooling. The tradeoff is that it is more costly, and guess who that cost gets passed on to. While automakers don't break down their pricing to show how much more you're paying for that 800V system, you'll just have to evaluate any potential purchases as a whole, and make your decision based on overall pricing of the vehicle. Thankfully, the 800V EVs on sale now are generally ones we like. Now, 800V charging capability doesn't necessarily mean an EV has 800V vehicle architecture. For instance, the GMC Hummer EV and Chevy Silverado EV operate at 400V, but with their dual battery packs, can switch to 800V when charging by temporarily connecting those packs in series. Currently, there are only a handful of EVs available with 800V charging. But if you are going to find yourself taking longer trips in your EV and using DC fast chargers more often, you might want to consider choosing one with this faster charging capability. With that in mind, these are the EVs available with 800V charging, either on sale now or coming in 2024. 800-volt EVs available in 2024 Audi E-Tron GT Chevrolet Silverado EV Genesis GV60 Genesis Electrified G80 Genesis Electrified GV70 GMC Hummer EV Pickup GMC Hummer EV SUV GMC Sierra EV* Hyundai Ioniq 5 Hyundai Ioniq 6 Kia EV6 Kia EV9 Lotus Eletre* Lotus Emeya* Lucid Air Lucid Gravity* Porsche Macan Electric* Porsche Taycan Ram 1500 REV* Tesla Cybertruck *Coming later in 2024 Green Audi Chevrolet Genesis GMC Hyundai Kia Lotus Porsche Tesla Electric Lucid EV charging

GM re-recalls 11k SUVs

Tue, Oct 13 2015

General Motors is recalling a bunch of previously recalled SUVs because, well, they still aren't quite fixed. The latest repairs are necessary on 10,974 SUVs in North America, including 9,932 in only the US. Affected models include the 2006-2007 Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer, and GMC Envoy; plus the 2006 Trailblazer EXT and Envoy XL. While not listed by NHTSA, a statement by GM to Autoblog says the 2006-2007 Saab 9-7X and Isuzu Ascender are also affected. In these SUVs, it's possible that liquid could get into the driver's door master power window switch module and cause a short circuit. This could potentially lead to a fire, and owners are urged to park the vehicles outside until repaired. GM has been trying to fix this issue for years. It started as an investigation into fires, and that led to a recall for about 250,000 vehicles in cold-weather states. A nationwide campaign came in 2013 for 193,000 of them in the US. Last year, the automaker decided to replace the whole module as a repair. However in a recent investigation of these recalls, GM discovered that this latest group of SUVs never received the new part. According to documents submitted to NHTSA (as a PDF), "Some dealers incorrectly used the labor code associated with module replacement when, instead of replacing the module, they only added a protective coating to the module." To fix things this time, the models finally get the correct component. Related Video: GM Statement General Motors is recalling 9,932 older midsize SUVs in the U.S. because they were mistakenly excluded from an earlier recall. Certain 2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL, and 2006-2007 TrailBlazer, Envoy, Buick Rainier, Saab 9-7X and Isuzu Ascender vehicles may continue to have a condition in which the printed circuit board inside the driver's door may corrode and short if exposed to certain fluids such as melted snow containing road salt. GM is aware of four fires but no crashes, injuries or fatalities associated with the expanded recall. The total number of vehicles being recalled, including Canada, Mexico and exports is 10.974. Customers are urged to park these vehicles outside until repairs have been made. GM reported this recall to the NHTSA on September 23.

Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado, Toyota Tundra flunk IIHS headlight test

Tue, Oct 25 2016

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety put pickup truck headlights to the test and found that the majority of them were equipped with subpar units. The 2017 Honda Ridgeline was the only truck to earn a rating of "good." The large pickup truck test was comprised of the: 2016 to 2017 GMC Sierra, 2017 Nissan Titan, 2016 Ram 1500, 2016 to 2017 Chevrolet Silverado, 2016 to 2017 Ford F-150, and 2016 to 2017 Toyota Tundra. The Sierra's headlights earned a rating of "acceptable," the headlights found on the Titan and Ram 1500 were found to be "marginal," and the ones on the Silverado, F-150, and Tundra were rated as "poor." IIHS claims the F-150 was the most disappointing out of the large pickup trucks as both its halogen and optional LED headlights failed to provide adequate visibility during testing. The Ridgeline (which earned a "good rating"), is usually considered a midsize or small truck, though IIHS included it in the field of large pickups. The headlights on the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, 2016 GMC Canyon, 2016 Nissan Frontier, and 2016 to 2017 Toyota Tacoma, which made up the small pickup truck group, all earned a rating of "poor." The IIHS claimed the Colorado had the worst headlights of any truck that was tested, as the base vehicle's units were only able to illuminate up to 123 feet in front of the car. The Ridgeline's headlights, for reference, were able to illuminate up to 358 feet in front of the vehicle. To conduct its test, the IIHS utilizes a special tool to measure how far light is projected out of the headlights in different driving situations. The trucks' headlights were tested in a straight line and in corners, while vehicles with high-beam assist were given extra praise. The headlights on the pickup trucks also mimic the testing that was done on small SUVs and cars earlier this year. Next year, automakers will need to fit their vehicles with headlights that earn a rating of either good or acceptable to earn the IIHS Top Safety Pick+. Related Video:
