2001 GMC YUKON XL SLT
5.3L VORTEC V8
4 WHEEL DRIVE
8 PASSENGER CAPACITY
71,000 MILES
CLEAN / CLEAR TITLE IN HAND
EXTERIOR:
The Summit White exterior is in very good condition, has a deep glossy shine, and is completely rust free! The Yukon XL does have an average amount of wear and rock chips as to be expected on any used vehicle, but does not have any major damage present with the exception of a scrape on the passenger rear door that simply would not show up in pictures. The undercarriage is in good shape and is rust free. All chrome, glass, and lights are in great shape. The Yukon has privacy tinted windows, painted door trim with a chrome strip, painted door handles, painted top pad on the bumper, painted mirrors, and premium SLT wheels. The Yukon XL is equipped with the factory tow package and includes a full size spare tire. The factory polished 16" wheels are in very good shape and are wrapped in a set of decent tread Bridgestone All Terrain tires. Additional photos will be provided upon request.
INTERIOR:
This 2001 GMC Yukon XL is equpped with the premium SLT leather interior! The premium Tan leather seating surfaces are in very good shape and have been professionally cleaned top to bottom. The only real wear present is a small split in the leather on the bottom exit point of the driver seat which is very common. The carpet shows an average amount of wear but has been professionally deep cleaned front to back and is now protected by a set of brand new "Yukon logo" floor mats in all 3 rows of seating. Options for this Yukon XL include a power driver seat, front captain buckets, second row bench seat, removable 3rd row seat, rear heat and a/c, dual climate control, factory cd player, 2nd row audio controls, remote keyless entry, and more options I'm likely forgetting. The Yukon XL has not been smoked in and has not odors or smells. I have included pictures of every area of the interior, and will be happy to provide more upon request.
DRIVETRAIN:
The 5.3L Vortec V8 engine starts, runs, and drives out powerfully and smoothly just like new! There is no smoke, no major leaks, and no noises present. The Automatic with overdrive transmission shifts flawlessly through all the gears, and does not slip or shift hard at any time. The Electronic Shift 4x4 system functions just as it should in all settings including Auto 4x4, 2HI, 4HI, and 4LO. I have put over 200 miles on this Yukon personally and would absolutely trust it to drive anywhere in the country, just the way it sits, right now. Test drives are welcome, feel free to come by anytime.

Detroit 3 to implement delayed unified towing standards for 2015
Tue, Feb 11 2014Car buyers have a responsibility to be well-informed consumers. That's not always a very simple task, but some guidelines are self-evident. If you live in a very snowy climate, you generally know a Ford Mustang or Chevrolet Camaro might not be as viable a vehicle choice as an all-wheel drive Explorer or Traverse, for example. If you want a fuel-efficient car, it's generally a good idea to know the difference between a diesel and a hybrid. But what if it's kind of tough to be an informed consumer? What if the information you need is more difficult to come by, or worse, based on different standards for each vehicle? Well, in that case, you might be a truck shopper. For years, customers of light-duty pickups have had to suffer through different ratings of towing capacities for each brand. For 2015 model year trucks, though, that will no longer be a problem. According to Automotive News, General Motors, Ford and Chrysler Group have announced that starting with next year's models, a common standard will be used to measure towing capacity. The Detroit Three will join Toyota, which adopted the Society of Automotive Engineers' so-called SAE J2807 standards way back in 2011. The standard was originally supposed to be in place for MY2013, but concerns that it would lower the overall stated capacity for trucks led Detroit automakers to pass. Ford originally passed, claiming it'd wait until its new F-150 was launched to adopt the new standards, leading GM and Ram to follow suit. Nissan, meanwhile, has said it will adopt the new standards as its vehicles are updated, meaning the company's next-generation Titan should adhere to the same tow ratings as its competitors. While the adoption of SAE J2807 will be helpful for light-duty customers, those interested in bigger trucks will still be left with differing standards. There is no sign of the new tow standards being adopted for the heavy-duty market.
Should heavy-duty pickup trucks have window stickers with fuel mileage estimates?
Sat, Sep 23 2017If you were to stroll into your nearest Chevrolet, Ford, GMC, Nissan, or Ram dealership, you'd find a bunch of pickup trucks. Most of those would have proper window stickers labeled with things like base prices, options prices, location of manufacture, and, crucially, fuel economy estimates. But you'd also run across a number of heavy-duty trucks with no such fuel mileage data from the Environmental Protection Agency. The EPA doesn't require automakers to publish the valuable miles-per-gallon measurement for vehicles with gross weight ratings that exceed 8,500 pounds. That makes it difficult for consumers to compare behemoths powered by turbocharged diesel engines – between one another, and between smaller, gasoline-fueled trucks. Consumer Reports doesn't think it should be this way, and it's spearheading an effort (PDF link) to get the government to require manufacturers to publish fuel economy estimates. In its own testing, CR found that heavy-duty pickups powered by Ford's Power Stroke, GM's Duramax, and FCA's Cummins diesel engines (which doesn't include the Ram's EcoDiesel) get worse fuel mileage than their lighter-duty gas-powered siblings. We're not so sure HD-truck buyers are unaware of this fact – big diesels don't really come into their own until big loads are placed in their beds or attached to their trailer hitches. Under heavy workloads, the diesel trucks will almost certainly return greater efficiency than a similar gas-powered truck. What's more, HD trucks with lumbering diesels in general make the driver feel more confident while towing due to greater torque at low engine RPM than gas trucks. They also offer greater max-weight limits. Still, we agree EPA fuel mileage estimates should be offered for heavy-duty pickups. And we think the comparisons provided by Consumer Reports might be interesting to potential buyers. Click here to see the results of CR's tests, and let us know what you think using the poll below. GM confirms 2015 Silverado, Sierra to get 8-speed automatic
Fri, 18 Jul 2014When viewed alongside the next Ford F-150 and the Ram 1500, there is one thing that seems to be missing from the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. Where the F-150 will rely on turbocharging and aluminum architecture and the Ram sports an eight-speed automatic and an air suspension, the General Motors twins lack a big, calling-card feature. They're very good, very refined trucks, but one could argue that they're not terribly innovative.
And while it might not be as flashy a feature as air suspension or a lightweight skin, the Silverado and Sierra will get their own eight-speed automatic for 2015, a transmission that will be paired with the company's Ecotec3 6.2-liter V8. The new cogswapper will also find its way into the GMC Yukon Denali, but for now, there's no indication why the Cadillac Escalade, Suburban, Tahoe and standard Yukon are being left out.
According to GM, the new gearbox is about the same size and weight as the current Hydra-Matic 6L80 six-speed. By the time the new powertrain combination enters production late this year, the EPA will almost certainly have gotten around to certifying the vehicles' fuel efficiency. Until then, feel free to speculate. The current Silverado with the 6.2 and six-speed auto returns 14 miles per gallon in the city and 20 on the highway. How much do you think the eight-speed will improve those figures? Scroll down for the official press blast from General Motors, and then head into Comments.
