2000 GMC YUKON DENALI – Asking $8,700

Private Party Kelly Blue Book is $9,375 – Clean Retail is $10,975

The window sticker lists all of the original options on this top end GMC truck. It has an essentially new set of 70,000 mile Michelin Tires put on less than 15,000 miles ago. It was also in to Joyce GMC in Mansfield in May of 2013 for a complete inspection prior to our last vacation trip. They serviced the transmission (filter and fluid replaced), replaced Power Steering Pump (minor leak), and replaced the main serpentine drive belt. A little over $1,200.  Just traveled to Wisconsin for Thanksgiving and had oil changed (Castrol Syntec – been using full synthetic oil since 70K miles) and fluids topped off when we returned home. Weather-Tech floor mats front-rear-&cargo.  GOOD TO GO!

You are looking at an essentially 1-Owner, well maintained vehicle with only 90,600 miles. I’ve had friends drive this very model to over 250,000 miles without any Major Repairs. I say essentially 1-Owner because I actually bought the vehicle 6 months after it was originally titled. I’ve driven it for almost 14 yrs.

Only known defective items: 1-Silver dollar sized scrape on left rear bumper (photo included); 2-Outside temp sensor in rearview mirror does not work; 3-driver's seat heater does not work; 4-Overhead courtesy light time delay off does not work.

One of the attached photos is of the original window sticker showing it was over $44,000 in 2000.  I have a folder in the car of all of the essential service records.  Clean title & CarFax, ready to transfer to the next owner.

MotorWeek looks back at 1995 Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon

Sat, Jun 20 2015

MotorWeek's Retro Review series gives us a nostalgic look back at some of the best sports cars and luxury sedans available in the 1980s and '90s. For its latest clip, the show shifts gears to remember the 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon. Similar to the success of crossovers today, SUVs were tallying big sales and making big money for automakers in the mid-'90s. The Tahoe and Yukon filled slots in the market as steps down from the larger Suburban. These twins weren't wanting for space, though, with plenty of room to haul around a family. MotorWeek came away generally impressed too, and called the models some "of the better riding sport utilities we've ever experienced." This review comes with some jazzy, electric guitar licks to enjoy in the background.

2018 GMC Acadia with 'Christmas Aero' modification gets in the wind tunnel

Sat, Dec 16 2017

Tis the season of "Big" - big cheer, big parties, big bowls of eggnog, big decorations, and when it comes to your family hauler, big drag. Festive drivers who festoon their crossovers, minivans, and SUVs with wreaths, Rudolph noses, fuzzy antlers, and rooftop Christmas trees undo the years of work that car engineers devote to fractional gains in fuel economy. To put numbers to such fuel-guzzling madness, GMC started with a 2018 Acadia, optioned it with the Xmas Aero Package - both Standard and Plus versions - put it in Lockheed-Martin's wind tunnel. The resulting dip in fuel economy results probably won't surprise anyone who's used a roof rack - or, for that matter, their car's air conditioning. However, it might surprise you to find out which seemingly substantial decoration had no effect, and which seemingly innocuous decoration was about twice as bad as running the A/C on its Mr. Freeze setting. Check out the brief video above for the results. And consider placement of that bow carefully.
