1997 Gmc Suburban 4x4 Slt Loaded Leather 5.7 Low Miles Immaculate on 2040-cars

Year:1997 Mileage:141996 Color: is near perfect as well
Location:

I hate to do it, but I am putting up my extremely clean 97 suburban for sale. I have always been a fan of this body style and jumped on this one when I first found it. My wife and I just had another child and I just can't justify this this vehicle setting in the garage all of the time not getting used. This was an extra vehicle it's whole life and it shows. The interior is flawless, the exterior is near perfect as well. there is one small ding on the passenger door and some small scratches that can be buffed out if desired. The paint shines like new and the suburban rides like new,  the door seals are all great and the ride is super quite. The cruise control works great and all of the controls and switches even look new.  This thing was babied!
The maintenance has been done. The usual transmission has been replaced within the last 5000 miles.  The shocks are new, along with the tires.  Both differentials have been checked and new fluids swapped along with the tranny and transfer case.  The push button 4 wheel drive works awesome!  Front and rear heat and air works flawlessly as well and the engine compartment looks like it did when rolled off the assembly line.  The only bad thing about this suburban is that the previous owner hit a deer at low speed and it cracked the chrome grille surround on the front grille.  You will be hard pressed to find one as nice, 141,996 miles and and a whole lot left in her.
Please feel free to fly in and drive home, no problem.
Thanks for looking, clean and clear title, ready to go!

GM recalls full-size truck, SUVs and vans over faulty shifter mechanism

Mon, 07 Jan 2013

Twelve different General Motors vehicles from the 2013 model year, up to 54,686 units in total, are being recalled over two potential issues with their steering columns. The models in question, all full-size trucks, SUVs or vans, are the: Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Express, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, and GMC Savana, Sierra, Yukon and Yukon XL.
The affected vehicles were built with a fractured parking lock cable or "a malformed steering column lock actuator gear in the lock module assembly." As a consequence, they could shift out of park without the brake pedal being applied or with the key removed or in the off position.
A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration indicates that the recall should begin on January 17. GM will notify owners, at which time they can take their vehicles to their dealers for repair free of charge. Have a look at the bulletin below for more information.

GM already raising prices on 2014 Silverado and Sierra pickups

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

General Motors must be pretty pleased with sales of its two newest pickups, the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado, as it's announced price hikes for both models, as part of a planned price tweak.
Prices will be bumped by as much as $1,500, although weirdly, they'll be offset by as much as $1,500 in cash-back offers through the end of October. Fox Business reports that GM spokesman Jim Cain said of the price hike, "With the sell down of the '13 models nearly complete, this price adjustment was planned and is a normal part of business."
The move, as Fox is quick to point out, is an interesting one, as sales of the twin pickups struggled last month relative to the Ford F-Series, while both of GM's crosstown competitors have been aggressively undercutting Silverado and Sierra prices. The F-150 starts at $24,070 and the Ram 1500 comes in at $23,600, not counting any cash on the hood. A base Silverado, meanwhile, retails at $25,575.

GMC Canyon's jump seats innovate to keep kids safe [w/video]

Sat, 03 May 2014

We dig simple solutions to problems. There's something highly gratifying about making a minute change to fix something, rather than tearing up the playbook. That's what GMC has done with the new Canyon midsize pickup.
When putting a car seat in, car seat manufacturers require that at least 80 percent of the seat's base fit on the bottom cushion. That's a big problem in extended-cab pickups like the Canyon, which feature jump seats with shorter bottom cushions, in place of the larger, more traditionally designed bench.
The Canyon gets around this with extendable jump seats - simply pop out the headrest and slot it into the bottom seat cushion, and the truck can now easily accommodate a child's seat.
