1996 Gmc Suburban Lowered On 24" Rims Very Nice 5.7l V8 Very Clean & Super Nice on 2040-cars
Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, United States
For sale is a 1996 GMC Suburban SUV with the 5.7L Vortec V8 motor and a 4 speed auto. This a very nice vehicle, It was recently professionally painted stock GM Indigo Blue almost a year ago and is a very nice finish. The exterior is in very good shape on this vehicle there is one small scuff I know of that is on the passenger side door but that's all that comes to mind, no dents or dings. The taillights are new and very shiny, the headlights however are a little fogged up but they still function fine. The chrome bumpers are also in very good shape. As you can tell from the pictures, the undercarriage is also in very good shape; very clean on the frame and everywhere. The exhaust system has been replaced with a nice setup with two Thrush mufflers with hidden exits on the side and it sounds really good, its loud when you get on the throttle but not noisy when your just cruising around. The underside of the engine and transmission are also very clean, no leaks. The engine pulls strong and idles good and the transmission shifts good. The previous owner told me the engine has had an aftermarket injection system put on too which should boost power a bit and hasn't given me any problems at all. This Suburban is also Lowered 2" and sitting on 24" Rims. You might be surprised but the ride is actually very comfortable! Its handles well with a ride thats not too soft but not too stiff either. The alignment is a good too. The rims are chrome and go very well with the chrome bumpers giving it a nice look. The tires are in good shape and have allot of tread left. The interior of the car is in very good shape. The Interior is blue and the seats are cloth. Theres a hole in the headliner as pictured. The radio head unit was replaced and it has an auxiliary port. Its also wired for a subwoofer and has the conections in the trunk. Overall this is a very nice vehicle, The paint like i said is in very good condition. The only other thing that comes to mind is that the ac isn't working, the hoses have a slow leak so they need to be replaced and then the system recharged. The brakes work fine, they have been bleed and gone over. One thing I should mention is that the rims will rub before the steering locks but this happens only when your turning almost all the way but you wouldn't notice it unless you where parking but its not something that is an issue. This Vehicle I would feel fine driving to anywhere. So if you want to fly to Florida and drive it home; I would say go for it. It would be a sweet ride to wherever you want to go. |

GM program sees dealers taking on way more loaner cars
Wed, Dec 17 2014Given the volume of vehicles we're talking about, this is a significant development for GM's bottom line. Bring your car into the dealership for service, and you may need a loaner car in exchange. And with so many recalls being carried out, that means a lot of loaners – especially at General Motors dealerships. That could be one of the reasons why GM is massively expanding its loaner fleet program. While many Chevrolet and Buick-GMC dealerships have an on-site rental car location operated by a third party like Enterprise (which may or may not provide a GM vehicle), others manage their own loaner fleets. But while the range of dealerships operating such fleets was once small, reports Automotive News, the number has been growing rapidly: from the locations responsible for only 20 percent of those brands' sales two years ago to about 90 percent today. The impetus for that growth comes down to a massive expansion of GM's Courtesy Transportation Program. The initiative encourages dealers to ramp up their loaner fleet to a maximum size determined by GM, with a mix determined by the dealer itself, so that a showroom in Texas can be bolstered with a fleet of pickup trucks and a dealer in California can employ more Volt and Camaro Convertible loaners. The dealership gets a $500 credit for each vehicle its puts in its fleet, and can use those vehicles as loaners for service customers, as multi-day test drivers or to rent out separately. The vehicles remain in the dealer's fleet for 90 days or 7,500 miles, then they can be sold as used, but with new-car incentives. The dealer gets a fleet of loaners, customers get to use the loaners, try out a new car overnight or buy a barely used car with attractive incentives, and GM gets to clock more sales. But therein lies the kicker: the automaker counts the dispatch of the loaner new vehicle to the dealership as a new-car sale, which could end up distorting its sales figures. Counting loaner vehicles as sold vehicles is something of an industry-standard practice, but given the volume of vehicles we're talking about, this is a significant development for GM's bottom line. One dealership - Paddock Chevrolet in Kenmore, NY, for example - had no loaner fleet two years ago, but now runs a fleet of 50 vehicles. Multiply that by the 4,000 or so dealers GM has across America and you're talking about the potential for hundreds of thousands of these sorts of sales.
2019 GMC Sierra 1500 taillights revealed in teaser
Wed, Feb 28 2018With just one day before the GMC Sierra's reveal, GMC decided to show one last teaser of the full-size pickup truck. This time it shows the tail of the truck. And, by that we mean just the taillights and the badge, and playing with Photoshop revealed nothing else. The same goes for a profile-view teaser released slightly earlier than the rear-view image. Still, this is the clearest look we've had of the Sierra's rear lights, and they have a similar wrap-around element, possibly LED-lit, to that of the smaller GMC Canyon. It also looks like the lights will look wider from the rear than those on the Silverado, mainly because the GMC's lights don't have an indentation in the middle. GMC also released a teaser of the truck's profile. Both the head and taillights wrap farther around the sides than on the Silverado. The headlights are also less square than the outgoing Sierra, giving the truck a slightly sleeker look. We'll see the whole truck and get details on what powers it on March 1 when it's fully revealed. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. 2020 GMC Acadia AT4 priced just a little more than the SLT trim
Thu, Aug 29 2019Cars Direct has seen the order guide pricing the 2020 Acadia AT4 at $42,495 after destination; that means a $41,300 MSRP plus $1,195 for shipping and handling. GMC has left a lot of pricing room between the rugged, all-wheel drive AT4 and the dressed-up, top-shelf Acadia Denali with AWD, the latter costing $49,495, a $7,000 difference. The spread's blown out some by what appears to be an $800 increase for the 2020 Acadia Denali with all-wheel drive. The 2019 model costs $48,695. On the other hand, it looks like the 200 Acadia SLT trim has gone down in price. Cars Direct says that model will run $41,995, which is $300 less than the 2019 version that goes for $42,295 after destination. The new price leaves a $500 gap between the SLT-1 model with all-wheel drive and the AT4 trim, a figure that's a no-brainer to justify for any buyers trying to get a more butch curb appeal.   The Acadia AT4 package comes standard with all-wheel drive and the 3.6-liter V6 with 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque, puts black chrome on the grille, and nabs a set of exclusive 17-inch wheels on all-terrain tires. The other two engines in the lineup are a new turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 230 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and cylinder deactivation. That motor will be the standard kit on the SLT and Denali trim levels, supplanting the 3.6-liter that's standard on the 2019 models. The entry-level engine carries over, a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder making 193 horsepower and 188 pound-feet of torque.
