hi im selling my bagged 2001 GMC Sonoma ext cab 3rd door with only 57k original miles. The truck has had NO winters NO salt so there is NO rust or rot. I bought the truck last summer as a summer toy but i have sense bought a hummer h2 and don't need it. The truck has custom taillights and shaved tailgate handle and was done professionally and you can not see the body work. The whole truck has been painted a black pearl with hand painted blue and green flames and cleared over, i give the paint a 7 out of 10.the truck has 40 degree cold ac the power windows and locks all work and the interior is in excellent shape but could use a cleaning from sitting around the garage. There is a notched frame with AIR TECHNOLOGIES bag set up installed. The rear bags are in great shape and work nice and there are springs in the front but all the lines and solenoids are run and ready to instal bags.I do not have a ton of knowledge in airbags so if you have any questions please ask and i will do my best to answer them. This truck has the nice 4.3 vortec motor and runs excellent, i just installed a brand new pre catalytic and catalytic converter, new o2 sensors, new interstate battery, evap solenoid and H.I.D headlights. NO check engine lights or any other lights. The truck is smooth down the road and stops good and looks nice. The truck does need a new roll pan or re-pair whats there, could use a buff and wax, radio stations do not come in the best, the paint on the roof isn't the best but the rest of the paint is nice and smooth, there's a ding in the drivers door (SEE PIC). Truck is not perfect has some cosmetic imperfections (few scratches chips ex....) but overall is still a very nice and would make a great daily driver or weekender with a little elbow grease, the truck starts every time and turns heads when cleaned up.I am going to was the truck and post some more pics later in the week. If you have any questions feel free to email me or call me to set up a test drive 315-863-4807.

GM announces net 220 job increase as Trump visits Michigan
Wed, Mar 15 2017GM announced today that about 900 jobs would be added (or, importantly, retained) ahead of President Trump's arrival in Michigan, where he is expected to discuss his plan to roll back fuel economy standards. The timing of the announcement is almost certainly not coincidental, as appending it to a Trump visit gives it a higher profile and dovetails with the President's jobs agenda. It's less likely the decision itself was made for those reasons, but the free PR boost is a nice bonus. As for those 900 jobs themselves, they aren't all new jobs. The only net gain is approximately 220 jobs at the Romulus Powertrain Plant, which produces the 10-speed automatic transmission that's proliferating through the company's lineup. The 180 jobs at Flint Assembly and 500 jobs at Lansing Delta Township are retained jobs – that is to say, spots the company found for workers who would otherwise have been laid off. By the way, the Flint jobs will help with production of heavy-duty pickups, and the Lansing jobs are to produce the Chevrolet Traverse and Buick Enclave. Finding jobs for manufacturing workers in the auto sector, whether new or retained, is admirable. No matter how GM couches it, the company has created or retained a total of 7,000 jobs this year, and its total reinvestment in US production is around $1 billion. But these decisions are business ones, not political ones – timing the announcements to make them seem inspired by economic policy, or the political situation, is simply smart PR. Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon midsize pickup trucks to get diesel engines
Tue, 27 Aug 2013The market for midsize pickup trucks has all but been abandoned in the US, but General Motors is about to shake the market up with the all-new (to the US) Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon. Launching next year, GM already told us that its new trucks would be a "fuel-efficient alternative" to fullsize trucks, and aside from the smaller size, Automotive News says that these trucks will accomplish this with a diesel engine.
According to the AN report, the next-gen Colorado and Canyon will offer a small, four-cylinder Duramax turbo diesel with a displacement of either 2.5 or 2.8 liters - both engines are currently used in this truck for other markets. This would allow GM to join the Cummins-powered Nissan Titan and Ram 1500 EcoDiesel as the only non-HD trucks in the US to offer diesel. The article goes on to say that the diesel versions of the Colorado and Canyon would launch about a year after the trucks go into production in fall of 2014.
GM can't keep up with most popular pickup orders
Mon, 30 Sep 2013With the market for pickup trucks at its best since before the recession, General Motors can't afford any hiccups with the launch of its new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra twins, but it sounds like the popularity of V8-powered trucks is causing some supply-chain issues. Bloomberg reports that GM is experiencing a shortage of 5.3-liter V8 engines because an unnamed parts supplier has been unable to keep up with demand. This is leading GM to restrict the number of V8 Silverado and Sierra trucks that Chevrolet and GMC dealers are allowed to order.
Although it's unclear how long it will take to resolve the parts shortage, GM doesn't have much time to sort it out, as a new Ford F-150 looms on the horizon. At launch, GM's fullsize trucks were offered only with a base 4.3-liter V6 and the 5.3-liter V8, but a burlier 6.2-liter V8 will be available soon. Interestingly, at least at the moment, GM truck buyers don't seem as willing to downsize to V6 power as buyers of the F-150, which gets some 42-percent of its sales from trucks equipped with its EcoBoost V6 engine (not including the normally aspirated base V6).
Working out the kinks in the Silverado and Sierra's supply chain couldn't be more important to the health of the company. Full-size pickups are a huge profit driver - in 2012, the trucks were said to make up about two-third of GM's total profits.
