Sewell, New Jersey, United States
1993 GMC SONOMA 4X4 SLE EXTENDED CAB PICKUP 4.3 L 6 CYL AUTOMATIC 158, 192 Miles. Vin # 1GTDT19W5P8508708 Title in hand
NOTE:
Truck will show minor issue with accident report.... I've owned the truck for 2 years....incident was before that...I had done investigation when I purchased it...and found it was a minor issue....cosmetic. NO RESERVE ….. NO RESERVE …NO RESERVE GOOD Valid NJ inspection to 4/15. Body in great shape. Extremely solid…Very little rust… Just the normal nicks and chips for a 1993 vehicle. Paint still has a nice shine to it. Engine runs well. Starts right up. Occasionally blows a little white smoke at startup. Son has been driving it around locally for over a year with no issues. All the electronic dashboard gauges work… Very cool retro look. I have a picture of the gauges on.
Newer kevlar roll-on bedliner. Newer tires…. less then 5,000 miles. New catalytic converter. New muffler. New rubber seals around doors and side back windows. New rubber seals around hood hinges. New hose (not installed) for A/C oil pump. New carpet. New headliner. New rear U-joints. New heater core. New blower motor Decent stereo head unit. Complete set of GMC dealer service manuals – like new. MINOR ISSUES Passenger power window doesn’t always go up / down. Door works fine, but the driver inside door handle doesn’t always spring back properly…
Tailgate latch should be replaced…can open tailgate by pulling on the pin under the handle. Couple of chips on windshield, but it passed inspection like that. Center console was removed by previous owner. Jump seat in back have been removed. The seats are very dirty (not ripped) and really need covers or to be replaced. OTHER ISSUES 4X4 not working… never got to a point to have it checked out…Previous owner swore it was just an electronic switch that needed to be changed.. I can’t say. A/C …really don’t know if it works or not….The oil pump for the a/c was leaking. I have the hose to replace it…just never had it installed. When replacing the heater core, the plastic channel under the dash to direct the heat/defroster air was broken. So the blower works, but the airflow for the defroster doesn’t reach the windshield. Was going to look for the part at junkyard…never got the chance. Tried to be extremely honest with the description. The truck would make a great platform for a project or a work truck.…We were going to drop a 350 in it and do some other work to it, but son decided he’d rather a 240sx for a project. So it has to go to clear out room. Any questions let me know. I believe we also have a short video of the truck running. BEING SOLD WITH NO WARRANTIES …. AS IS ………. NO RESERVE BUYER MUST ARRANGE FOR PICKUP. …… CASH ONLY. |

Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon get updated tachometers due to graphical error
Sun, Feb 8 2015After James Bearing bought a Chevrolet Colorado, he noticed a discrepancy between the truck's spec sheet and the truck's tachometer: Chevrolet said 3.6-liter V6 in the little pickup produces 305 horsepower at 6,800 rpm, but the the tachometer indicates a redline at 6,500 rpm. So either he wasn't making as much power as he was promised, or the tachometer display was incorrect. Bearing said he asked Chevy about it but got no response. Until now. A General Motors spokesman said the rev limiter is indeed set for 6,800 rpm, but the tach graphics "are slightly off" in the Colorado and the GMC Canyon, and submitted an SAE horsepower certification to back him up. If you're wondering how such a thing got past quality control... well, let's just say you're not alone. GM is going to fix "the graphics on future trucks," which makes it sound like Bearing will just have to learn to live with the indicated redline he's got. He could always pretend he's driving a sleeper, with four more ponies waiting to be unlocked in the danger zone for those who dare. GM sweetens military discount for Buick, Chevy and GMC
Sun, 06 Oct 2013American servicemen and women interested in a new vehicle from Chevrolet, Buick or GMC now have a bit more incentive to head down to their local dealer, as General Motors has announced plans to improve its military discount program.
The new GM Military Discount Program offers eligible consumers a new Chevy, Buick or GMC at invoice pricing, which in some cases can take very large chunks out of a car's retail price. When factored in with other incentives, most of which are available with the Military Discount, the bargains are thick on the ground for members of the US armed forces.
GM's Retail Sales and Marketing Support general manager, Chuck Thomson, said, "GM has long supported the military and military families, and we hope this simplified and enhanced discount will show our appreciation for their service and help make it easier for them to own one of our great new vehicles." The program is open to all active duty and reserve members in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard, as well as veterans that have been out of the service for less than a year. Military retirees and their spouses are also eligible for the discount.
GM dealers have ordered 30k Colorado and Canyon pickups, 3rd shift added
Wed, 17 Sep 2014General Motors has an early success on its hands in the form of the initial rollout of the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon midsize pickup trucks. According to the automaker, dealers have ordered nearly 30,000 of the trucks thus far, a number that far exceeded GM's early expectations.
This high demand for the Colorado and Canyon twins has prompted GM to add a third shift to its Wentzville Assembly plant where the trucks are built, starting early next year. An extra shift will add an additional 750 jobs at the location to the 1,315 that were already employed there, according to the press release that you're welcome to read down below.
Such positive sales projections for the Canyon and Colorado may portend good things for the midsize pickup segment, which was once hugely popular but has more recently contracted, with the Nissan Frontier and Toyota Tacoma standing firm as the market leaders. Now that GM's entries are the most up-to-date, and with the segment's first diesel engine on the way, it will be interesting to see how the trucks continue to sell and if their hopeful success leads more automakers back onto the playing field.
