Notes:

Damages: Dents on roof area and missing tailgate handle trim (see white arrows in pictures), as well as missing front, right hub cap, and missing right, rear mud flap.  Front, right speaker is blown.  Exterior shows signs of wear: small dings/ dents/ light scratches in various places from daily use.

This is an 12 year old truck, so please adjust your expectations accordingly.  Although it has been well maintained, it is a used truck nonetheless – we are not the original owners.  Please DO NOT EXPECT a showroom truck.  Conversely, we have more than adequately invested in servicing it, and keeping it running at its optimum, so please DO EXPECT an overall nice 12 year old truck, especially for the powertrain, heating/ cooling, and electrical components to be in good working condition, without any problems.

Repair History: Completed within the last 12 months, replaced ALL injectors (only #8 was malfunctioning), replaced front hubs, new coolant, new front and rear brakes (pads, rotors, fluid flush), Transmission Service (fluid flush, filters, and related seals/ gaskets), Power Steering (new booster, fluid flush, hoses, and related seals/ gaskets).  Also, 2 new front tires.  It should go without saying, but obviously the repairs are in addition to the regular maintenance (oil/ lube/ multi point inspection) performed.

SLE trim package includes: power windows, power locks, dual power seats, A/C, cruise, tilt, CD/ AM/ FM, chrome bumpers/ trim, running boards, fog lights, tow/ camper package, 4 wheel ABS, air bags, etc. and bed liner.

$1,600 in tow upgrades (B&W turn over hitch, Monomax shocks, and brake controller).

Clean title in hand, registered as a commercial vehicle, tags are current, and has routinely passed DOT inspections -- has current CVSA sticker.

2015 Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra recalled for steering issues

Thu, Sep 13 2018

DETROIT — General Motors Co is recalling more than 1 million pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles in the United States due to issues with a temporary loss of power steering, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said. The recall is for 2015 models. They are: the Chevy Silverado 1500, Suburban and Tahoe, GMC Sierra 1500, Yukon and Yukon XL and Cadillac Escalade. The problem may cause difficulty steering the vehicle, especially at low speeds, increasing the risk of a crash, the auto safety regulator said in a document dated Sept. 12. The document did not highlight any reports of accidents and injuries, because of the power steering issue. GM dealers will update the power steering module software, free of charge for owners of the affected vehicles. In 2014, the No.1 U.S. automaker had recalled nearly 800,000 pickup trucks worldwide because of the same problem. GM did not immediately respond to a request for comment.Related Video:

Roadkill pits every project car against each other

Sat, 22 Feb 2014

The guys behind Motor Trend's monthly Roadkill series have collected nine of their favorite project cars from their videos and pitted them against each other in a battle royale to determine a winner. It's 44 minutes long, but it's completely worth the investment of time.
The cars run the gamut from a 1973 Chevrolet Ramp Truck, a 1975 AMC Pacer and a legitimately impressive 1967 Chevy Camaro, and they are pitted against each other to see which is the fastest around an autocross course. The drivers include Roadkill's two hosts and Motor Trend's Johnny Lieberman and Carlos Lago. It's reminiscent of the best episodes of Top Gear and worth a watch.
So it's the weekend - the perfect time to relax. Grab your preferred beverage, get comfortable and enjoy 44 minutes of some seriously ratty but utterly cool project cars as they are throttled within an inch of their lives (or past it). Scroll down to check out the video.

GM can't keep up with most popular pickup orders

Mon, 30 Sep 2013

With the market for pickup trucks at its best since before the recession, General Motors can't afford any hiccups with the launch of its new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra twins, but it sounds like the popularity of V8-powered trucks is causing some supply-chain issues. Bloomberg reports that GM is experiencing a shortage of 5.3-liter V8 engines because an unnamed parts supplier has been unable to keep up with demand. This is leading GM to restrict the number of V8 Silverado and Sierra trucks that Chevrolet and GMC dealers are allowed to order.
Although it's unclear how long it will take to resolve the parts shortage, GM doesn't have much time to sort it out, as a new Ford F-150 looms on the horizon. At launch, GM's fullsize trucks were offered only with a base 4.3-liter V6 and the 5.3-liter V8, but a burlier 6.2-liter V8 will be available soon. Interestingly, at least at the moment, GM truck buyers don't seem as willing to downsize to V6 power as buyers of the F-150, which gets some 42-percent of its sales from trucks equipped with its EcoBoost V6 engine (not including the normally aspirated base V6).
Working out the kinks in the Silverado and Sierra's supply chain couldn't be more important to the health of the company. Full-size pickups are a huge profit driver - in 2012, the trucks were said to make up about two-third of GM's total profits.
