2008 Gmc Sierra 3500 Hd Slt Crew Cab Pickup 4-door 6.6l on 2040-cars
Conroe, Texas, United States
You are bidding on a 2008 GMC Sierra 3500HD 4WD. I've had this vehicle for a little over a year. I bought it from a gentleman (the original owner) who was doing "hot shot" so it already has a gooseneck layout as you can see in the pictures along with an auxiliary fuel tank and pump from Transfer Flow that works perfectly. This truck is in very good condition and all of the miles on this truck have literally been highway miles. I've used it to drive from Texas to FL a few times and it is a smooth ride. I've beefed up the tires to Cooper and they are very new with only 5,000mi on the tires. This truck does have a rear entertainment package with a panasonic flip down screen that you can watch dvd's on. This truck is basically fully loaded just not called the "denali" version. The only thing that is really missing is a back up camera. It has GPS navigation on the touch screen in-dash radio, sunroof, etc. The wife says I have too many vehicles so this one has to go. If you have any questions at all feel free to TEXT and text only 936-689-nine-seven-five-three. I am at work from 11am-8pm everyday so I can't take personal calls about this vehicle unless you are a serious buyer.

2015 Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon airbag problem causes recall
Tue, 14 Oct 2014
The recall affects 2,432 vehicles, though only 138 had actually reached consumers.
General Motors quickly fixed an airbag-wiring problem with the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon, but is still conducting a small recall to repair the midsize trucks that are launching this fall.
Watch GM's new pickup crash its way to five-star NHTSA ratings
Thu, 09 Jan 2014General Motors has just scored a big win with its Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks, acing the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration New Car Assessment Program. The two full-size trucks had already netted a five-star Overall Vehicle Score in their crew-cab variants, but the new testing certifies them as five-star trucks in both regular and double-cab bodystyles, so GM's trucks offer top ratings across the board.
"Our incredibly capable trucks have been engineered to be some of the safest," Gay Kent, GM's general director of Vehicle Safety and Crashworthiness said. "We've designed the vehicle structure, strategically placed high-strength steel and developed the occupant restraint system to achieve high levels of safety performance."
The scores mark the Silverado and Sierra as the first pickups to net five-star scores since NHTSA beefed up their testing regime in 2011, a nice feather in GM's cap as it continues to slug out the pickup truck wars with crosstown rivals Ford and Ram.
2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra debut all-new designs, three new engines
Thu, 13 Dec 2012General Motors has finally dropped the curtain on the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra. Both trucks have undergone substantial revisions with updated versions of the company's 4.3-liter V6, 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 engines. In a shot across the bows of both Ford and Chrysler, GM says it won't use a V6 engine adapted from passenger car applications. Instead, it developed the 4.3-liter engine based on its proven truck-duty architecture.
All three mills will boast direct injection fuel systems as well as a new cylinder head design. Combined with a revised piston, the new engines feature a smaller combustion chamber with a compression ratio of 11:1 or higher depending on the application. Cylinder deactivation and continuously variable valve timing are all part of the recipe, and each engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission with auto grade breaking. So far, no fuel economy or horsepower figures have been released, though GM says the new engines will best their predecessors in both areas.
Outside, the trucks feature a number of enhancements to reduce drag and wind noise, and GM claims both the Silverado and Sierra will offer buyers some of the quietest cabins in the class. Extended cab models now feature front-hinged rear doors to allow easier access to the back passenger area, and Crew Cab buyers can now select between a five-foot, eight-inch bed or a six-foot, six-inch bed. Buyers with a mind toward going off road will also rejoice in the return of the Z71 package, complete with Rancho shocks, front tow hooks and additional under-body protection.
