You are bidding on a 1994 GMC C3500 14" U-Haul Box Truck that I had converted into a concession stand of sorts. I successfully ran my business for a number of years with the help of this truck in my hometown of Keene New Hampshire. About a a year and a half ago I decided to leave the cold weather and make Florida my permanent home. I had visions of re-opening my stand when I arrived to Florida but the city I moved to does not allow such businesses to operate within there limits thus leaving me with a truck I can no longer use or even afford to use for that matter. I drove this truck from NH to FL without any issues whatsoever. While living in New England, this truck NEVER had any issues passing inspection. As far as I am aware it does not leak any fluids and still runs as strong as it did when I was actually driving it. I no longer have it registered but I make it my personal mission to start it and let it run for a few minutes everyday. The maintenance was always kept up on this vehicle as it was required by law and I still even have a good portion of the records saved. As you'll probably notice, this truck does contain some dents and dings. My old company logo is still displayed on the side of the vehicle. I installed an outside canopy, serving tray and two servings windows that open and close. I built an assortment of extra cabinet space that makes for great extra storage. Also included is a stainless steel restaurant grade counter-top, 3 bay sink and a hand sink which were all required by the health department while operating in NH. It also comes with a 12 gallon waste water tank, 10 gallon clean water tank and a 2 gallon hot water tank. This does not and will not include any kind of ovens or generators. When I ran this, I was plugged into city electricity so I never had to worry about any of that. The last major repair that I had done was having the front left brake drum replaced but that was it. I had no issues while driving this from New England to Florida other than the price of gas. The title for this truck is a NH state title but clean and ready to sign over. The air conditioning on this truck DOES NOT blow cold. I am not to sure whether it just needs a recharge or perhaps something more. Also, the windshield wiper motor will need to be replaced as well as it had stopped working on the drive down here. If you would be interested in coming to take a look at this truck please do not hesitate to ask. All potential buyers are encouraged to do so and I would very much prefer it to be looked at first hand! You can even test drive it if you desire. I am not to automotive savvy so I will have to let the pictures and car report summary speak for themselves. Thank you for looking.

Next-gen Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra may use carbon fiber
Thu, Dec 7 2017It's been generally accepted that the next generation of full-size GM trucks will use some sort of strong, lightweight material for the beds while retaining steel for the cab. While aluminum seems like the most obvious choice, according to Automotive News, the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra will incorporate both aluminum and carbon fiber in their beds. The publication cites sources from within GM, though it seems the introduction of this comparatively exotic material mix is still a few years off. While carbon fiber is both stronger and lighter than steel and aluminum, it takes significantly more time and money to produce, essentially relegating the material to small-volume cars. The main benefit for trucks is the resulting reduction in weight to improve fuel economy without sacrificing the tough, rugged capabilities truck buyers expect. The Ford F-150 made the switch to aluminum for the 2015 model year and it's proved highly successful. It seemed like it was only a matter of time before the competition followed suit. Automotive News says that the next-gen trucks will launch with aluminum beds and that it will take a couple of years before we'll see any carbon fiber incorporated into the design. Even then, only look for the composite material on higher-trim models, with a trickle down to lower-spec trucks possible further in the future. In 2011, GM announced it was working with Japan-based Teijin Limited on a carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic. There's a good chance that material's introduction will be on trucks. GM phasing out light-duty 1500-series vans
Mon, 16 Jun 2014In the market for a fullsize van but don't need a heavy-duty model? You're in the minority, and you're also out of luck. That's because there are barely any more fullsize vans on the market with gross vehicle weight rating of less than 8,500 pounds, the threshold that separates light- and heavy-duty vans.
According to PickupTrucks.com, neither the Ford E-Series, Ram ProMaster, nor Mercedes-Benz Sprinter are available in light-duty versions. Few of the Ford Transit configurations are, either, and now General Motors is discontinuing production of the 1500-series Chevy Express and GMC Savana.
Apparently light-duty versions accounted for just 23 percent of Express sales and only 7 percent of Savanas. Add to that the fact that these 1500 versions were the only ones using the old generation of engines and suspension, and that the Wentzville plant near St. Louis, Missouri, is trying to make room for the next Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon pickups, and the fate of the light-duty GM van was sealed.
2022 Rivian R1T vs. 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning vs. GMC Hummer EV Pickup | How they compare on paper
Tue, Sep 28 2021The 2022 Rivian R1T has arrived, ushering in the era of the production electric pickup truck. The Rivian reviews are in, and spoiler alert: They're pretty good. Curious how the new battery-powered truck stacks up to its forthcoming competitors? Well, you've come to the right place. Rivian beat all of Detroit's big automakers to market in the half-ton segment, but probably not by the margin the startup would have liked. Ford's answer is the F-150 Lightning, which is due to enter production early next year, coming hot on the heels of GM's first entry into the space – the GMC Hummer EV pickup – which is scheduled to come off the line late this fall. While all three are pickups, they're aimed at distinctly different buyers, as a perusal of their specifications will reveal. Let's have a look, shall we?  Disclaimer: Before we dive in on this one, we'd like to note that while we've made our best effort to verify the specs provided, the Rivian is brand-new and the others are still in the prototype phase. Some of these figures may be inaccurate or may simply change before production. This is all hypothetical until you can actually cross-shop them anyway, right? Cool. End disclaimer. Let's start with the powertrains. They're all battery-electric trucks engineered on a modular rear-wheel-drive configuration engineered to accommodate (theoretically, anyway) up to four electric drive units. Rivian actually makes the most use of this with a quad-motor setup producing 835 horsepower and 908 pound-feet of torque with its high-output initial model. GMC's three-motor Hummer has the R1T beat with its estimated 1,000-horsepower output, while Ford's (also three-motor) comes in with a far more modest 563 horses. This is an excellent illustration of our above point that these are not all engineered for the same crowd. Ford's F-150, which comes in at a lower price point, is meant to be far more mainstream, as its power output suggests. This theme continues when we look at the dimensions. Despite the image "Hummer" may conjure, GMC's entry actually needs the shallowest parking space. The Rivian is right behind it, with the work-truck-spec Ford extending more than a foot longer than either. What the Hummer lacks in length, it makes up for in girth. It's the widest by a good 5 inches. The Rivian is only slightly pudgier than the F-150, but it's much closer at that end of the scale.
