1993 Gmc C3500 Sierra Extended Cab Pickup 2-door 7.4l Rwd Dual Rear Wheels A/c on 2040-cars

US $4,200.00
Year:1993 Mileage:175500
Location:

Hello bidders! This is my 1993 GMC C3500 dually. It has THE big block 454 gasoline engine from the factory. I have owned it for a little over 2 years now. When I bought it, I had the intention of making this into a drag truck. I have the engine, transmission and the truck, but no time for the build. I do love this truck and I would hate to sell it but, like I said, I don't have time to make it the project I want it to be. The previous owner did tell me that the engine was mildly rebuilt recently. I'm not sure of the exact mileage in which it was rebuilt. The engine runs strong and true without any hesitation. Transmission shifts firmly and precisely, as it should. Previous owner used it for towing a race car and they also had an "aerodynamic" body kit on the truck that they took off before I took ownership. Only piece left of it is the front bumper cover, which is made of fiberglass. I painted the bottom portion of the truck black and replaced the fiberglass rollpan with a smaller, nicer steel piece. Since this was not going to be used for towing, I removed the towing package that was on it, which was not factory. A fifth-wheel towing system was also used on the truck and the holes are still in the bed. There was no bed liner when I got it so I put that in. Under it is only minor surface rust, nothing major. I also got the windows tinted about a month ago. Also installed by the previous owner was a cat back Magnaflow exhaust system and it sounds great. The interior is a GREAT shape. No tears in the seats and no cracks in the dash. Gauges all work as they should, as does the radio, A/C and heater. The truck is mechanically sound and will run forever.I have been using it as a daily driver since August without any issues. I recently bought a pair of front tires that have not been mounted, which will be included. I also have lowering shackles for the rear and long tube headers that can be negotiated. I hope you like what you see and read and that this big boy finds a good, reliable home. This vehicle is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction at any time.

2016 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate wants to take even more off the top

Tue, Nov 17 2015

What do you do when getting to the top of Denali isn't enough? You create a higher peak called Denali Ultimate. That's what GMC has done with the 2016 Sierra, the new Sierra Denali Ultimate adding even more content and showing off the truck's refreshed face and new Denali grille. The reasoning behind this truck is perfectly sane. GMC says that in 2013 it had zero percent of the premium light-duty truck market; since that time, the brand says the segment (with an average transaction price beyond $55,000) has grown by a factor of ten, and the Sierra Denali has given GMC a 15.5-percent share. When it goes on sale in in the first quarter of next year, it can be optioned on the four-wheel drive 1500 Crew Cab with either the five-foot-eight or six-foot-six-inch bed. Standard equipment includes a sunroof, Lane Keep Assist, automatic headlights, Tri-Mode Power Steps, chrome tow hooks, and 22-inch wheels. The press release below has more. GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate: The Pinnacle of Premium Unique 22-inch wheels, expanded package of standard content drives exclusivity DETROIT, Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015 – GMC is taking the range-topping style, craftsmanship and capability of the Sierra Denali even higher with the 2016 Sierra Denali Ultimate. It builds on the Sierra Denali's already class-leading attributes with a package of precision-crafted features designed to elevate its comfort, design and capability in the growing premium niche of the full-size truck market. GMC introduces the Sierra Denali Ultimate today, ahead of its public debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. It goes on sale late in the first quarter of 2016. "The Sierra Denali has helped drive the growth of premium portion of the light-duty crew cab segment," said Duncan Aldred, vice president of GMC Sales and Marketing. "This truck is the ultimate expression of the Sierra Denali with greater emphasis on the bold and refined presence and advanced features that make Denali models synonymous with precision and exclusivity." Thanks in large part to Sierra Denali, which was redesigned in 2014, GMC commands 15.5 percent of the premium full-size truck segment, where average transaction prices exceed $55,000. The segment has nearly doubled in 2015 and grown tenfold since 2013, when GMC had zero percent of the market. In fact, Sierra Denali has helped GMC earn a higher share of the premium portion of the light-duty crew cab segment than of the overall full-size pickup segment.

2015 GMC Canyon gets the party started [w/video]

Sun, 12 Jan 2014

The 2014 Detroit Auto Show press days officially kick off tomorrow, but the night before all the madness commences, General Motors drove its new 2015 GMC Canyon pickup truck out for all to see. To refresh your memory, the Canyon is GMC's new midsize pickup - essentially a re-skinned version of the Chevrolet Colorado that debuted at the LA Auto Show in November.
Many of us at Autoblog prefer the look of the larger GMC Sierra to that of its Chevy Silverado kin, and we're having similar feelings about the new Canyon, especially after seeing it in person. It's sort of a pint-sized version of the Sierra, and it looks great. Clean lines are found throughout, and the Canyon's styling is decidedly premium.
At launch, the Canyon will be offered with the same engines as the Colorado - a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine with 193 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque on the base end, and a larger 3.6-liter V6 with 302 hp and 270 lb-ft as an option. The Colorado's 2.8-liter diesel inline four-cylinder will be available after launch. Both two- and four-wheel drive configurations will be available, depending on the model.

Weekly Recap: Auto execs face life in prison for recall delays under proposed legislation

Sat, 09 Aug 2014

The stiff punishments are part of broader transportation legislation, but clearly McCaskill has automakers in her sights.
Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill threw down the gauntlet this week, proposing a bill that could send auto executives to prison for life if they were found to have delayed a recall. She also wants to eliminate the limit for fines for auto safety violations, which are currently capped at $35 million.
