You are bidding on an AMAZINGLY CLEAN, 24K MILES, GMC 2500 DURAMAX DIESEL, CREW CAB, 4X4!!
This Rare Find comes to us out of Southeast Georgia. It has been owned by an elderly man who used it to tow his boat to the local river. Obviously, by the 24k miles, he didn't go much further. It's HARD TO DESCRIBE HOW INCREDIBLY CLOSE TO NEW THIS TRUCK REALLY IS. You have to PICTURE IT IN A NEW TRUCK SHOWROOM AND ADD THE 24k miles to the odometer. IT'S THAT CLEAN AND IN AMAZING CONDITION!!! Mechanically, FLAWLESS!!! RUNS, DRIVES, AND SHIFTS PERFECTLY!! Cosmetically, FLAWLESS!!! ABSOLUTELY NO DINGS, DENTS, SCRATCHES, OR BLEMISHES!! INSIDE OR OUT. It is an SL model so it doesn't have the Creature Comforts of the higher trim models. It has a rubber floor, crank windows, manual locks and mirrors, AM/FM radio, COLD A/C, and a 60/40 Cloth bench seat with the center arm rest. It has a Class 3 Tow hitch, Spray in liner, and a Very Nice Tool Box in the bed with a carpet liner and some Security Feature to it (see pic). The 4wd is manual shift on the floor, not electronic on the dash. The tires are better than 50% and not in need of replacement soon. There is NO RUST and is 100% ROAD READY!!!! Again, This is an AMAZINGLY RARE FIND!! With the LOW MILES, THIS TRUCK STILL HAS A LIFETIME OF SERVICE TO GIVE SOMEONE!! The Reserve is VERY FAIR FOR THIS UNIQUE TRUCK, AND THE BUY IT NOW IS WELL WITHIN REASON BASED ON THE FACT YOU WOULD BE HARD PRESSED TO FIND ANOTHER ONE LIKE THIS. Remember, once the Reserve is met, the Buy It Now feature DISAPPEARS. So if you don't want to miss out, YOU MAY WANT TO CONSIDER THE BUY IT NOW OPTION! GM appears to repurpose Saturn Outlook parts on new Acadia
Thu, 09 Feb 2012General Motors unveiled the company's refreshed GMC Acadia at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show yesterday, and if you were paying attention, you may have noticed something curious about the vehicle. While the new Acadia looks considerably better than its predecessor, a few components of the design looked more than a little familiar. Upon closer observation, it appears that GM has simply repurposed elements of the now defunct Saturn Outlook crossover on the 2013 Acadia. Both vehicles seem to share the same wrap-around rear glass, back hatch, tail light openings and exaggerated, squared-off fender arches.
While the vehicles are differentiated by badging, tail lamps and a rear valance, there's no denying the similarities toward the vehicle's rear. Up front, both share similar fenders, though adjustments have been made for the varying headlight designs.
That's good news if you just can't imagine life without the Saturn Outlook.
2015 GMC Canyon is a Chevy Colorado in Sierra clothing [w/video]
Sun, 12 Jan 2014Ford may not offer the Ranger in America anymore, nor Dodge (or Ram) its Dakota. But General Motors - not unlike Toyota with its Tacoma and Nissan with the Frontier - isn't about to give up on the midsize pickup market. Less than two months ago, it revealed the new Chevrolet Colorado, and now it's following up with its mechanical twin, the 2015 GMC Canyon.
Launched today ahead of its reveal at the Detroit Auto Show, the Canyon slots into the GMC lineup (and differentiates itself from its Chevrolet twin) with styling that closely apes the larger GMC Sierra 1500 and Sierra HD, only a size or two smaller. Oh, there are visual differences, like a subtly different grille treatment and lower fascia, but it still maintains its big brother's square-jawed good looks and rectilinear flared fenders.
Two aluminum-block engines with direct injection and variable valve timing are available: a 2.5-liter inline-four comes standard with 193 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, and a 3.6-liter V6 is available with 302 hp and 270 lb-ft. Buyers will also be able to choose between three bodystyle configurations, three trim levels and either two- or four-wheel drive. A six-speed automatic transmits the power to the road, but a six-speed manual is available on the base model with the 2.5 and 2WD, and there's an All Terrain package available on SLE models. A diesel is expected later.
GM able to add diesel to half-ton pickups if market demands it
Wed, 18 Sep 2013A few years ago, the trend in half-ton pickup trucks was ultra-luxurious trims, often with the words "limited" or "platinum" tacked on after the model name. That was well and good, but we like this latest fad a lot more - diesel engines. First, Ram came to bat with a 3.0-liter, V6 turbodiesel for the 1500, then Nissan announced that the next-generation Titan would be getting an eight-cylinder Cummins diesel.
Now, word is coming in from AutoGuide that General Motors can, if it so chooses, drop a diesel engine into its light-duty trucks. The plot thickens, though, as it turns out that said diesel would be the same one Ram is using for its truck. According to AG, that engine comes from VM Motori, which GM owns a sizable chunk of. Therefore, GM can snag the 3.0-liter, V6 diesel for its trucks just as easily, if not more easily, than Ram.
If it's so easy for the Detroit-based manufacturer to access the engines, why not offer the a diesel-powered Sierra and Silverado from the start, then? According to GM spokesman Tom Wilkinson, The General doesn't seem so confident in a diesel pickup outside of its HD offerings. According to Wilkinson, the cost-benefit ratio doesn't line up for customers, thanks to both the impact on the truck's sticker price and the higher price of diesel, in general (the national average for a gallon of diesel is 43 cents more than a gallon of 87-octane unleaded).
