1972 GMC 2500 Custom Camper special 350 long bed 4X4. A/T, 350, 373 gears front and rear, 4x4 works GREAT, has manually locking hubs. Truck runs great and doesn't smoke or burn oil. Dual fuel tanks, rear tank needs a flush/vatting. New steering box and electric fuel pump. Still has points distributor. Recent paint job ( I haven't even waxed the paint yet). Newer interior, carpet older and is a little faded, newer dash pad. Originally orange paint on exterior I think, with white cab, not sure because the glove box sticker was painted over before I got the truck. Had red interior (steel parts painted, dash , doors etc..) when I bought it so, I kept the look! And went with red with white.  ENGINE, by receipts, shows was replaced at 34,000 miles in 2002 on odometer-now has 46,000 I would  imagine this was 134000, and now is 146000 since the title says and shows EL( Excess of limits). I'm not sure nor will I guarantee.  I replaced old carb with a new Edelbrock carb that's set up for mechanical choke. I added all brand new 16x8 aluminum wheels and brand new  tires. Was an original a/c truck, should be quick to convert back but missing condenser and a/c compressor, lines, etc.. Has trailer brakes and receiver hitch and is set up for 7-pin. See photos. Simply put,  I've owned the truck for a couple of years now and only put 300 miles on it. Basically, I don't use the truck enough to need to keep it, and I only used the 4x4 twice: once to tow out a Ford, heehee, and once driving through the snow to work.  Don't see a whole lot of snow here where I live and I don't four wheel for fun. This truck is not a show truck. Its a good looking, hard working, great running four wheel drive small block. Pretty clean but not perfect. $500.00 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT will be due immediately upon auction end. Remaining balance due within 7 days of auction end or upon pickup. Truck or title will not leave my possession until full payment has been received and has cleared the bank. Sells as is no warranty. Buyer is responsible for shipping. Auction will not end early. I will store vehicle up to 40 days after date of auction end, after that a $50.00 per day storage fee will be charged to winning bidder and added to sell price. Tractor trailer access to yard and vehicle. SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY. Do not commit to a bid on this vehicle unless you have the funds. Thank You.

2015 GMC Canyon

Wed, 24 Sep 2014

As discussed earlier today, the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado is a new standout in terms of midsize trucks. But the Colorado wasn't the only pickup the General Motors team brought to San Diego for us to sample. Also along for the ride was a pack of GMC Canyons, the slightly more expensive and polished platform-mate to the Chevy.
There's no question that the Canyon and the Colorado are a lot alike under the skin - almost entirely, in fact - so GMC has worked to first create some daylight between the two trucks by way of sheetmetal. This is most obvious from the front view, where the blocky and blingy GMC grille replaces the more subdued tone and shape seen on the Chevy's nose. Projector headlights with LED running lights come as standard, and, again, with the squared-off look that is typical of the brand. 16-inch aluminum wheels come stock on the GMC, too, with the 17-inchers seen on my photo truck offered as standard equipment on the top-trim SLT.
GMC considers the Canyon to be the only premium truck in the segment (which is clearly true), and the team has spent a ton of time and effort to get the interior correct to prove out that point. "Any trim that looks like metal, is metal," I was told at the product briefing, a certain indication that the company is serious about bringing a new class of buyer to a truck segment that it hopes to redefine.

Wards names its 2015 10 Best Interiors list

Fri, Apr 17 2015

Wards Automotive has named the winners of its 10 Best Interior awards, covering a wide but affordable array of vehicles. Where last year's list contained two six-figure vehicles, including the $372,800 Rolls-Royce Wraith, this year's is, well, a whole lot more reasonable. The publication lists the Mercedes-Benz C400 at $65,000 (which seems off), making it the most expensive vehicle here. That said, we'd argue that the entire C-Class line deserves to make this year's list, owing to its varied and high-quality selection of materials. The other vehicle to break the $60,000 mark, meanwhile, is the $60,675 Ford F-150 King Ranch, which has 327,000 pounds of leather lining its interior. Only one other German car, the BMW i3, and one other pickup truck, the GMC Canyon, managed to make this year's list. Here's the full list of this year's winners: 2014 BMW i3 ($52,550) 2015 Chrysler 300C Platinum ($51,175) 2015 Ford F-150 King Ranch ($60,675) 2015 GMC Canyon SLT ($40,465) 2015 Honda Fit EX-L ($21,590) 2015 Jeep Renegade Limited ($33,205) 2015 Kia Sedona SXL ($43,295) 2016 Mazda6 Grand Touring ($33,395) 2015 Mercedes C400 ($65,000) 2015 Nissan Murano SL ($41,905) See what we mean about the mainstream vehicles? Not only is there a distinct lack of luxury brands, it's the price of some of the vehicles that surprise. The Honda Fit, Jeep Renegade and Mazda6 are very reasonably priced, especially when you compare Wards price with the starting price. The Renegade Limited starts at less than $25,000, the Mazda at less than $22K and the Fit at under $16,000. Head over to Wards for a more detailed explanation of why each vehicle won. 2015 Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon airbag problem causes recall

Tue, 14 Oct 2014

The recall affects 2,432 vehicles, though only 138 had actually reached consumers.
General Motors quickly fixed an airbag-wiring problem with the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon, but is still conducting a small recall to repair the midsize trucks that are launching this fall.
