2004 Gmc Sierra 1500 4x4, Z71 And Towing Packages, Only 46k Miles, One Owner on 2040-cars
Stone Mountain, Georgia, United States
Up for auction is my 2004 GMC Sierra. It has the Z71 off road package, towing package (with nice trailer brake controller), SLE package, extended cab, 5.3 liter engine, automatic transmission, key-less entry, Borla stainless exhaust, K&N air filter, and the original air filter. It was under body coated when new, has a bed liner and rail caps (installed when new) to protect it. It has the cloth bucket seats, center console, heavy duty floor mats, and auto four wheel drive.
This truck has only 46,400 miles on it. I am the ONLY owner and have never had any problems with it. I bought it new and just don't use it much. It wasn't used hard and was only used for personal use. I now have a 78 Ford Bronco so the GMC is being sold. It has almost always been parked inside. It is extremely clean and has never been in any kind of accident. It has never had ANY bodywork done. The interior is very nice and has never been smoked in. The exterior is just about flawless with maybe 1 or two small dings from doors of other cars. No mechanical or electrical issues. All accessories work as they should. The only thing that will need attention at some point are the tires. The tires are the original tires and are getting low on tread. They may be good for another 10 to 20 thousand miles depending where you live. I have a clean Georgia title in hand. A $500 deposit must be made with PayPal within 48 hours of auction end. I will accept cash at a Wells Fargo bank, or payment can be made ahead of time so that it can clear my bank. Please let me know if you have questions or to setup a time to see it. Thank you. |

GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect
Tue, 17 Aug 20102010 Buick Enclave - Click above for high-res image gallery
The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.
2013 GMC Acadia Denali
Wed, 05 Jun 2013Refreshed, Not Refreshing
I'm probably ill-suited to accurately and fairly take the full measure of a vehicle like the 2013 GMC Acadia Denali. This is a machine conjured around the express notion of corralling and then herding a brood of rafter-swinging hatchlings to and fro in relative comfort, and with no such passel of wee Bowmans to call my own, it's difficult to give this rig a fair shake. While I can certainly weigh cargo capacity, legroom and fuel economy stats with the best of them, I'd be lying to your face if I said the word "crossover" didn't urge some uncontrollable Pavlovian recoil from the murky recesses of my frame. To put it simply, I just can't stand the damn things.
As a rule, the segment is built on a bed of compromise. Manufacturers love nothing more than to spin up a tired yarn about the virtues of this particular neck of the market. We're told the crossbreeds deliver all the ride quality, driving dynamics and fuel economy of a car married with the seating position, capability and interior volume of the SUV set. That all sounds as swell as a sunset, but as the 2013 Acadia Denali so artfully illustrates, the advertising on the box is rarely congruous with the prize inside. Even with an imaginary squad of younglings at my heels, the refreshed luxury crossover doesn't quite manage to scratch the promised itches.
Inevitable GMC Canyon Denali spotted testing
Mon, Feb 16 2015Practically every other model in the GMC lineup already offers a more luxurious Denali option, so why not extend that to the Canyon midsize pickup? It's hardly a surprise to see the brand doing just that, especially since the standard model seems to be proving quite a success. This Canyon was recently spied testing wearing camouflage over its front end. The truck still needs to breathe, though, and the opening in the obfuscation makes it quite easy to spot the Denali's chrome mesh grille, rather than the horizontal slats of the standard model. Also, just peeking out of the bottom part of the masking is the lower air intake, which appears to be completely lined in chrome now. At the sides and rear, the styling is identical to the current look of the pickup, at least for this prototype. While our spies didn't snap any shots of the interior, it seems safe to anticipate the usual Denali upgrades there, including better materials and additional tech features. Of course, expect a bump in price at the same time to pay for the improvements.
