EXCELLENT CONDITION!!!

CUSTOMIZED

MECHANIC OWNED, METICULOUSLY MAINTAINED

Black 4-door extended cab 1500 cowboy cadillac... The C3 version was only made for one year in 2001 before it became the Denali, it basically came decked out from the factory but I have invested lots more into this truck. The C3 comes with the 6.0L instead of the 5.3L and is full time all wheel drive, it has the sport front end, 2-tone leather heated seats, onboard DIC computer in center, factory 6-disc changer, custom trim...I am a mechanic of 10 years and this pickup has been meticulously maintained and is in excellent condition. Recent tune up plugs, wires, brakes, high end shocks, new pinion seal, all fluids flushed, good tread on tires... I have invested over $6k over last year, a custom tuned ECM by EFI Live from Black Bear Performance, Banks cold ram air, this truck is very powerful for a half ton and gets 17-20 mpg depending on how its drove. Also added black HID custom head and bumper lights, smoked LED taillights, sirius radio, chrome rocker panels, mud flaps and wheel trim, tinted windows, window vent visors, bed rail covers, $700 remote start by AstroStart with lifetime warranty, also has a $1000 JL Audio system under rear seat. Originally this truck retailed at $38K in 2001, the sierra SLE 4x4 retailed at 28K to give you an idea of how proud GM was of this sport truck. This truck is rare, custom and in exceptional shape. I am only selling to go back to college. Has 145,xxx miles and will go 100k more. The tool box is no longer in the back, I just removed and sold it seperatly...these pics are current 2 weeks ago.   There is one dent on the passenger side box towards the top about 2 inches...not deep or creased and could easily be removed but hardly can notice it. The paint is in great shape for 12 years old it has some typical mini scratches and road weathering on rocker panel area but trust me its in no way needing a paint job, looks awesome.  The passenger power seat module needs to be replaced, I havnt changed it yet because the seat is in a prime spot and I dont sit there.  Other than that there is nothing wrong with this truck,  Front end, drivetrain, suspension, powertrain...everything is tight and in perfect working order...no lights or engine codes.  Truck is super fun to drive and very fast.  The custom tuned ECM is strictly a GM modification and is an outstanding performer for safety, reliability and performance.  Truck will sell with a full tank of premium...that is all I run in all my vehicles. Have drove this truck across the country and never had so much as a hick-up.  Hate to see it go but its time for someone else to enjoy this truck. Blue book value is around 12,000 but remember the extra 6k I just stuck into it... my reserve is set reasonable and the extras will basically be given away. Buyer is responsible for local pick up or shipping. email me with any other questions, I'm sure I have left out something.  EMAIL...  easyh686@gmail.com  Happy bidding!

Added info...  This truck has not had 7 owners I am the 4th owner, the auto check score is a little discriminating. Unless you consider the dealers that resold the truck after a trade in to be an owner, and passing an emission inspection to be a bad mark on this trucks history.  This truck in reality scores in the high 80's to low 90's, the auto check is also sighting the first buyer when the truck was brand new because he bought it on a lease instead of paying cash.  The truck is in Oregon now because I moved here from Montana to go back to school.

2021 GMC Yukon will pull a 180 thanks to a Hurricane Turn feature

Fri, Jan 17 2020

GMC isn't a hip, young startup, but its engineers are out to prove it's possible to teach an old dog new tricks. The next-generation Yukon will offer adventurers seeking a quick turn-around a "Hurricane Turn" feature that functions a lot like Rivian's Tank Turn technology. The two systems use different hardware to perform a similar action. We didn't hear anything about the Hurricane Turn feature during the Yukon's unveiling because GMC planned to keep it under wraps until later, but an eagle-eyed report at Motor Trend uncovered it and quizzed the firm. It's real, and it's engaged when the driver switches the stability control system off, energetically turns the steering wheel in either direction, and mashes the accelerator pedal to the floor. The Yukon needs to be on a loose surface, too. If you're turning right, the on-board computer applies braking power to the passenger-side wheels to prevent them from spinning, while the engine continues to turn the driver-side wheels to rotate the Yukon on its own axis. The exact opposite happens if you're turning left. It's clever and relatively simple; there's no extra hardware required to enable the feature, though it shows the next Yukon is far more advanced than its predecessor. It goes without saying that only four-wheel drive models will receive the Hurricane Turn feature. There's no word yet on whether it will be compatible with all three engine options, or if it will be limited to a certain trim level. GMC will publish additional details about the system, and hopefully a video of it in action, in the coming months. Rivian, on the other hand, leveraged its four-motor electric powertrain to teach the R1T (and presumably the R1S) how to pull a 180. The right wheels turn in the opposite directions as the left wheels – hence the name Tank Turn – to spin the truck around like a CD in a Walkman. Its system doesn't use the brakes. The 2021 Yukon is due in showrooms in the summer of 2020, and Amazon-funded Rivian won't start making the R1S until the end of 2020 at the earliest, so GMC will beat its younger rival to the punch. What remains to be seen is how often motorists use either function. We're betting not very once the initial novelty wears off. Related Video:

2021 GMC Canyon AT4 will offer an Off-Road Performance Edition Package

Wed, Jan 29 2020

In March 2018, GMC announced the 2019 Sierra 1500 AT4, the alphanumeric finale denoting heightened ridge height and off-road capability. In December of that year, GMC took the AT4 further, creating an Off-Road Performance Package that boosted horsepower and torque, and re-soled the 18-inch machined rims in Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac Mud Terrains. History will repeat itself in 2020, one truck size category down. GMC unveiled the Canyon AT4 (pictured) in Vail, Colorado, earlier this month, and now GM Authority reports that a Canyon AT4 Off-Road Performance Edition Package is on the way later this year.  The Canyon AT4, which replaces the Canyon All Terrain, upgrades the standard truck with all the erstwhile All Terrain kit like tuned suspension, Advanced Hill Descent Control, transfer case skid plate, automatic locking rear differential, and 31-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires on 17-inch aluminum wheels. Design tweaks include the new, bolder front fascia and red recovery hooks. The Canyon AT4 Off-Road Performance Package goes a different route than on the Sierra, improving ruggedness instead of engine output. GMA says the suite includes front and middle performance skid plates, rocker protection, a spray-on bedliner, performance exhaust tip, and 17-inch gloss black aluminum wheels in favor of the Dark Argent Metallic units. A front leveling kit removes the factory rake. This variant will wear a black AT4 badge as opposed to the regular red and chrome AT4 denominator. Inside, we'll guess the AT4's Kalahari stitching and embroidered headrests stay in the game. They'll be joined by all-weather mats. Since GMC hasn't announced the upfit, we don't have pictures or pricing. Tallying up what individual options we could on the 2020 Canyon All Terrain came to $1,970, but that doesn't reflect pricing for next year's new AT4 trim, nor does it include components like the front leveling kit or gloss black wheels. GM Authority said production should begin in June or July, so we can look forward to info closer to summer. Related Video:

GM opens official investigation into C8 Corvette transmission leaks

Mon, Nov 1 2021

In March 2020, a month after Chevrolet began customer deliveries of the 2020 C8 Corvette, a GM dealer technician created a Reddit thread about a leaking gearbox in a Corvette with 32 miles. That car hadn't even been sold yet. Since then, as a search of "C8 Corvette transmission leak" shows, it's been tales of woe for some owners. Something in the Tremec TR-9080 transaxle in the back of the mid-engined Corvette doesn't work as it should, the fault able to cause codes that the transmission needs service, or that the driver needs to shift to park. In some cases, the battery would die because of follow-on issues after the initial transmission code, that code preventing the car from powering down. As Autoevolution reports, GM filed paperwork with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in August to look into what's going on. Between forum threads and GM's investigation document, there are several issues mentioned. The most common appears to be the dual-clutch transmission leaking fluid due to gasket failures like the one suffered by one owner at 858 miles, and another for an owner currently enduring a second leaking transmission. The Midengined Corvette Forum reported that Chevy engineers redesigned the TR-9080 pan, fitting Corvettes with the new unit at some point in the 2021 model year. The original pan was stamped steel unit affixed to the engine with two studs and 13 bolts, plus "reinforcement plates." The updated pan is said to be a cast aluminum unit affixed with two studs and 17 bolts, omits the reinforcement plates, and gets a new machined new groove around its edge to seat the gasket seal. The GM paperwork now at the NHTSA mentions a P1789 code, and says one reason for it could be "debris on the park position sensor magnet causing an incorrect position reading to the TCM." This might be caused by another issue mentioned in forums, which is clogged transmission filters. GM gives instructions for returning transmission filters to the company, and a poster on one forum said the Corvette tech at the dealer where he bought his Corvette told him the automaker "requires every used transmission filter to be returned to GM."  Whatever's going on, the problems haven't stopped, and they go beyond the P1789 code. Over the weekend, a 2022 Corvette owner posted on Corvette Forums that he got a check engine light on his car after just 850 miles.
