This is a 1975 GMC Shortbox 4WD Pickup. It has a 4" lift kit by Rancho. It is equipped with a 350 cu in engine, bored 40 over flat top pistons, low end RV cam, a 350 Edelbrock carburetor, and Headman headers. The engine has less than 2500 miles on it and runs out very strong.
It has a lot of low end torque and really gets with the program. The transmission is a 350 turbo rebuilt the same time the engine was, and the transfer case was also rebuilt - all new chains, bearings, etc.
The front and rear differentials are 373 gears. The rear is posi-traction. The wheels are 15" x 12" aluminum Outlaw 1. The tires are 33 x 12.5 R15LT.
This truck has very unique front and rear bumpers. They are made out of oilfield pipe and formed to fit the front and rear very well. They look like factory, and they are very strong. There are homemade nerf bars under the doors, and they are formed to fit the truck very well too - very strong and durable. There is a set of row bars for the back that you can see in one of the pictures, but they are not mounted down because I did not want to drill any holes in the floor of the pickup since the floor is in perfect condition.
This truck runs and drives very well. You can be proud to be seen in this vehicle because there are not too many that look like this. This truck has been sitting in a garage since 2003. The AC is built into the truck, but the hoses and compressor have been taken off. You will have to find different hoses and a compressor.
On the title it shows the mileage at 98239, but the previous owner completely went through the truck from one end to another and put all the right stuff in it to make the truck what it is today. The first speedometer quit, so he found another one. Right now this one shows 33591, and it only has less than 2500 miles on a complete engine, transmission and transfer case rebuild. It also has new paint; and since then, it has been sitting in the garage.
The interior is cloth fabric on the doors to match the seats. The seats are of a fairly new foreign vehicle that had the right look to fit the truck. It has a new dash pad that goes with the truck. It has a nice stereo system.
I know whoever wins this truck will be getting a truck of their dreams. They seldom come around for sale in this great of condition. The person who built this truck put a lot of thought into performance and detail. This truck is a good #1 truck.
This is an "AS IS" Sale - no returns. Buyer handles all shipping costs. Email me with any questions. Serious bidders only.

GM follows up Lambda CUV stop-sale with tire recall
Mon, Feb 9 2015In late January, General Motors announced a stop-sale for about 6,281 examples of the 2015 Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave because of the possibility for the treads cracking on their 18-inch Goodyear Fortera HL tires. At the time, GM said that this would also eventually lead to a safety campaign to repair the problem, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has just published those details. GM's recall covers 5,876 of the three Lambda platform crossovers to replace their tires. According to NHTSA, if the treads crack, there could be a loss of pressure and possible failure. Goodyear already announced its own recall of the tires after internal testing found small tread cracks. The company did not believe this was safety issue, but the problem did put the rubber out of compliance with federal laws. The business's safety campaign covered an estimated 48,512 tires. Of those, around 32,000 were reportedly made for GM to either be fitted to vehicles or sold as replacements. The remainder went to the aftermarket. Goodyear's portion of the recall is expected to begin around February 20. RECALL Subject : Tire Tread Cracking/FMVSS 110 Report Receipt Date: JAN 28, 2015 NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V044000 Component(s): TIRES Potential Number of Units Affected: 5,876 All Products Associated with this Recall Vehicle Make Model Model Year(s) BUICK ENCLAVE 2015 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE 2015 GMC ACADIA 2015 Details Manufacturer: General Motors LLC SUMMARY: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2015 Buick Enclave vehicles manufactured December 9, 2014, to January 14, 2015, 2015 Chevrolet Traverse vehicles manufactured December 9, 2014, to January 20, 2015, and 2015 GMC Acadia vehicles manufactured December 9, 2014, to January 16, 2015, and all equipped with Goodyear P255/65R18 Fortera HL tires. These vehicles are equipped with tires that may experience tread cracking. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 110, "Tire Selection and Rims and Motor Home/Recreation Vehicle Trailer Load Carrying Capacity Information for Motor Vehicles with a GVWR of 4,536 kilograms (10,000 pounds) or Less." CONSEQUENCE: If the tire treads crack, a loss of tire pressure and possible tire failure may result, increasing the risk of a crash. REMEDY: GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the tires that were manufactured within a specific date range, free of charge.
2016 GMC Canyon Diesel Quick Spin [w/video]
Mon, Oct 12 2015The 2016 GMC Canyon Diesel and the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado Diesel are basically the same truck. This isn't really news – the two midsize pickups have been discussed side by side since their inception. If you stop reading right now, go to our First Drive story from last week, and replace "Colorado" with "Canyon," you won't miss a beat. Samesies. Looks-wise, the Canyon is a bit more polished overall than the Colorado on which its based. The front fascia has a more upscale, yet tough aura, the squared-off headlamps mimic those of the Sierra, and the alloy wheels – especially those on this SLT tester – are a premium touch. Inside the cabin, it's all carryover stuff from the Chevy truck, just with different badges and some unique color/trim combos. So it's a Colorado Diesel with a Canyon treatment. It's the typical GMC updo. But that's fine by me; this thing's a real sweetheart. Driving Notes Talk about smooth operator. This is one of the least harsh diesel engines I've ever tested, with low levels of vibration. Credit for that goes to the fancy German torque converter, as our own David Gluckman detailed in the Colorado First Drive. There's there's also very little in the way of turbo lag in this truck, aiding the silky character. I kind of miss the "turbo moment" woosh of power, but I'll happily trade that for total overall refinement. GMC hasn't released official fuel economy figures just yet, and my drive route wasn't exactly great for testing the ol' miles per gallon rating. I spent about 45 minutes slogging through traffic in Manhattan (perfect place for a diesel pickup, right?), before getting out onto the highway for another 45 or so. The combined trip returned numbers in the mid-20s, but I have to believe this truck can do better. The steering is vague, the body rolls – it drives like a pickup. That said, even though it's on the larger side of midsize, the Canyon is easy to maneuver, sight lines are great, and it's a generally pleasant-handling truck. The 2.8-liter Duramax diesel engine adds about 200 pounds to the Canyon's overall curb weight, but you don't notice from behind the wheel. Braking feel is smooth and solid, and the truck doesn't feel especially nose-heavy. Despite the anti-aero shape, the Canyon delivers a quiet ride with very little wind or road noise. Credit this to all the sound deadening material added to keep unpleasant diesel chugga-chugga-chugga noises out of the cabin.
