Getting sick and tired of the up and down ridiculous gas prices??  With the price of gas skyrocketing yet again, there's no better time to buy an alternative fuel vehicle.  Here is your chance to own a hard to find 2004 GMC Savana 2500 Dedicated CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) Cargo van.  Save big $$$ with natural gas, while helping clean up the environment.  If you have a business, this vehicle can save you a substantial amount on fuel costs! This is a factory CNG package, NOT an aftermarket retrofit.  This is a dedicated CNG vehicle and ONLY runs on CNG.  Does NOT run on gasoline.

Compressed Natural Gas Tank Capacity: Approximately 18.5 US Gallons Gasoline Equivalent(GGE) @3600 psi 70 degrees F (21 degrees C). Average CNG range approx 220-260 miles.  Exp. date 01/2018.

BEWARE of people selling vehicles with untested/unfilled or empty CNG systems.  CNG system functions.  This vehicle has been filled with CNG and test driven 20+ miles.  This vehicle is super economical to drive with CNG priced under $1.00 a gal in many areas.  State tax credit still available (Utah and other states that offer tax credits).  

 

What is CNG???

Compressed Natural Gas or CNG, is one of nature's best untapped energy sources.  Unlike fossil fuels, it is constantly produced by the earth and can also me synthesized through chemical processes.  Cyber_lot. The technology has been around for decades but until recently has been kept in the closet by big oil!  It is one of the fastest growing alternative fuel sources and unlike biodiesel and ethanol (E85), is a viable replacement for petroleum.  Within the next 10 years 90% of gov't fleets will be CNG and civilian population will follow over the next 20 yrs.

Why should I buy a CNG/Bi Fuel Vehicle?

Condition

Drivetrain

Engine starts up and runs strong.  Only 89k miles. NO knocks, NO smoke, NO dripping engine leaks.  Underside of engine is dry as you can see in the pics.  Transmission shifts into and through all gears smoothly as it should.  Has proper acceleration and cruises at highway speed.  6.0L V8 should easily last 300K+ miles with proper maintenance.  This was a fleet maintained vehicle with regular servicing, including oil changes at proper intervals.  

Exterior     

Paint has most of its factory shine and glistens in the sun as you can see.  No major dents or rot on the body.  There are some dings, scratches, nicks and minor blemishes around the body.  The rear barn doors have some soft dents and the rear driver wheel well lip is dented on the edge.  Paint chips have been touched up in a few spots, specifically the corner edge of the front driver fender.  Overall the body is straight and in good condition as you can see in the pics.   Please keep in mind this is not a showroom new but in good condition for a work van and a vehicle of this age.

Interior

Interior is in good condition with normal average wear.  Seats are in good condition with no rip or tears in fabric.  Has pvc vinyl floor which is in good condition. The driver seat is cloth and the passenger is vinyl as you can see.  There are a couple tiny holes drilled in the center console where some small electronics were mounted.  Interior is fresh and clean and has been detailed.

Wheels and Tires

·  Tires have approx 90%+ tread remaining and look fairly new.  Matching set of factory GMC wheel caps.

CNG System

I have fueled up with CNG and not observed any leaks.  System holds pressure as it should.

I have test driven this vehicle over 20 miles and it should have no problem going anywhere.  I have tried to describe the condition to the best of my ability but this is merely a guideline and repairs may be required.  I do recommend having this vehicle shipped due to the limited availability of CNG stations in some areas.  As I recommend to all my customers, you should have your mechanic look over any newly purchased vehicle before extensive use.  I have tried to list as many details about this vehicle as I can, including known defects.  There may be deficiencies that I am not aware of so buyers are encouraged to inspect in person.  FAILURE OF PROSPECTIVE BUYERS TO INSPECT VEHICLE OR ASK FOR CLARIFICATION ON CONDITION WILL NOT CONSTITUTE NON-DISCLOSURE OF DEFECTS OR CONDITION ON SELLERS PART.  This was previously a fleet/lease vehicle and may have greater wear and tear than private vehicles.  Vehicle is otherwise sold with no warranty express of implied.  If you are local I encourage and welcome you to come down and test drive the car for yourself or have an independent inspection completed PRIOR to bidding.  There will be no price adjustments or cancellation of sale for failure to do so.  I am happy to answer any questions so feel free to e-mail me or call.
