LOW LOW RESERVE

FOR SALE, a rare 1991 Gmc S15 Jimmy, 2 door, 4.3L TBI, 5 speed, 2wd, with power options and digital dash. HARD TO FIND  and this was the only one I came across in 8 years.

Before we go on....if you are from the US, the process to import this truck to you is very easy . Fly down to Vancouver BC, transfer vehicle to your name ( in BC the title is printed and handed to you on the spot, no waiting for the title in the mail for weeks) you can either insure the truck right away in Canada and drive back home, or trailer it back home. Once you get to the border, the vehicle is in your name, just pull over, fill in an import sheet and you are clear to cross! SIMPLE as it sounds and I speak from experience from previous sales**

I can ship the truck across Canada for any Canadian residents who win the bid as well, this is at your additional expense or you can still enjoy the drive across Canada before the weather turns!

-4.3L V6
-5 SPD
-2 wheel drive
-Performance chip

-Power locks
-Tilt steering

-Power Steering

-Perfect headliner
-Rust free doors , fenders, tailgate ( see pics)
-Rear tint glass
-16 inch Chrome IROC Wheels, some corrosion
-Tires at %50 all around
-Belltech lowered suspension
-114000 KMS or 71000 MILES the digital dash will switch from MPH to KPH with a touch of a button :)

Body is original, rust free, but has some bubbling ( see pics, ROCK SOLID though) No accidents , no rebuilt title. Clean and clear title .

I have owned many of these trucks before, all in automatic, some in manual but none with the combo this truck has. A full load 2wd with 4.3L option and digital dash is so rare, I have seen trucks like these sell on ebay , smashed up for over $2500....

I bought the truck exactly as you see it, I have done nothing but synthetic oil changes and care for it, that is it. She needs to be restored, or you can drive her across the US 4000 miles with no problem.

The engine runs excellent, no smoke at all during startup, no leaks of any kind from the engine to the rear end.

Transmission shifts like a hot knife through butter, no grinding at all, easy shifting, clutch replaced 2 years + ago, LUK clutch installed.

Has a super chip that seems to have improved fuel economy believe it or not ( 300 miles a tank at best, or 550 kms a tank) while adding almost 18-20 HP and making this factory positrac truck loose the back end on a wet day in 3rd gear if you wanted to!

Known issues? Yes she has some minor ones that can be left alone or fixed in time with no pressure....

-tires at 50%
-left engine mount rubber gave way, needs left engine mount
-some rust bubbling, but rock solid metal, no pin holes or water leaks at all
-some of the body kit is missing as the adhesive lost it ability to hold the plastic to the body and eventually fell off, no I don't have the pieces
-front air dam was cracked as the truck is lowered. I replaced it but was not long till I parked it and it caught the curb again and damaged it, I removed it and left it off.
-No stereo but has factory speakers, just add a deck and you will be rockin in no time.
-The notorious Chevy blazer or Jimmy rear window rattle.....sometimes its there, sometimes its not, the remedy is a new weather stripping and it will be quiet after ( LMC TRUCK.COM)
-gorgeous IROC rims, but they are getting corroded, still look incredible ( see pic)
-Windshield has a 6 inch crack at the top of the passenger side and 3 chips, and some paint chips here and there from highway driving
-E brake works, however could use an adjustment to be perfect.

Diesel details: Comparing Ram 1500 EcoDiesel, Chevy Silverado Duramax, Ford F-150 Powerstroke

Thu, Jun 13 2019

With specifications for the 2019 Ford F-150 Power Stroke diesel already out, and the details on the 2020 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel and Chevy Silverado Duramax (and its GMC Sierra twin) trickling out, we felt it was a good time to start comparing the full-size trucks' light-duty diesels. Bear in mind, we've only driven one of these new diesel trucks, so we'll be sticking to numbers for now. Some numbers haven't been announced yet, either, but stay tuned, because we'll be updating this post with additional specifications as they become available. And if you want to compare any other versions of these trucks with other vehicles, be sure to check out our comparison tool. Now let's start comparing, starting with our big chart of numbers below. As we can plainly see, these trucks are quite closely matched. Each one has six cylinders, a displacement of 3.0 liters and a turbocharger to boost it. The output of each is somewhat close, too. The Ram 1500 EcoDiesel is the torque king at 480 pound-feet, 20 more than the GM trucks and 40 more than the Ford. The GM trucks win on power, though, with 277 ponies, 17 more than the Ram, and 27 more than the Ford. GM does report that you get their trucks' peak 460 pound-feet of torque from 1,500 rpm to 3,000 rpm, whereas the others only report peak torque at a particular point in the rev band, but all of these trucks should have wide, flat torque curves as you would expect from modern turbodiesels. 2020 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel View 8 Photos Engine output is only one part of the truck performance equation. We also have towing and payload capacity, as well as fuel economy. With towing, the Ram 1500 is the current leader with a maximum capacity of 12,560 pounds. That tops the Ford F-150's 11,400-pound tow rating by well over 1,000 pounds. The F-150 can carry 2,020 pounds in its bed, but we don't know yet whether that's better or worse than the Ram or the GM trucks. We also don't have numbers for the GM trucks' towing capacities. View 9 Photos As for fuel economy, the Ford F-150 manages a thoroughly impressive 22 mpg in the city and 30 on the highway with two-wheel drive. Choosing four-wheel drive drops those numbers to 20 and 25 respectively. The fuel economy numbers for the Ram, Chevy and GMC haven't been revealed yet, but for some comparison, we can look at the old Ram EcoDiesel. That truck's best fuel economy was 20 in the city and 27 on the highway with two-wheel drive.

GMC Acadia goes big again? Spy photos show next-gen prototype

Thu, Jul 7 2022

GMC is testing what looks a lot like a new full-size SUV, signaling the likelihood that it will return to full-size segment after the current generation has run its course. GM downsized the Acadia for the 2017 redesign, carving nearly 10 inches off its length and 3 inches from its girth. For the next generation, it appears that script will be aggressively flipped.  The hierarchy of GM's unibody family SUVs was already a bit wonky before the Acadia's 2017 redesign, and continues to be now. While it would be logical for the Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, Buick Enclave and Cadillac XT6 — all three-row crossovers — to be different skins on the same fundamental chassis, that's not actually the case. The Acadia is a full foot shorter than either the Traverse or Enclave, with the XT6 falling in between. Based on these photos, that will no longer be the case when the new GMC Acadia debuts. Since the current one went on sale in 2016 as a 2017 model, it's about due for a replacement.  We can't see much beyond basic proportions here, but those tell a clear story. It's pretty obvious that the hood on the prototype is wider and sits higher than on the current car, with perhaps less slope to the now-wider nose. We can also see the faintest impressions of creasing on the flanks, likely leading to the same broad, angular hip treatment present on the current car. Viewed side-by-side, we can see a little more front and rear overhang. There's no obvious hint of substantially longer wheelbase here (the rear doors line up almost perfectly), so we're probably looking at something that is wider but not necessarily much longer.  In any event, we shouldn't have to wait too long to find out exactly what GM has in store for its "Pro" brand.  Related video: This content is hosted by a third party. Next-gen Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra may use carbon fiber

Thu, Dec 7 2017

It's been generally accepted that the next generation of full-size GM trucks will use some sort of strong, lightweight material for the beds while retaining steel for the cab. While aluminum seems like the most obvious choice, according to Automotive News, the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra will incorporate both aluminum and carbon fiber in their beds. The publication cites sources from within GM, though it seems the introduction of this comparatively exotic material mix is still a few years off. While carbon fiber is both stronger and lighter than steel and aluminum, it takes significantly more time and money to produce, essentially relegating the material to small-volume cars. The main benefit for trucks is the resulting reduction in weight to improve fuel economy without sacrificing the tough, rugged capabilities truck buyers expect. The Ford F-150 made the switch to aluminum for the 2015 model year and it's proved highly successful. It seemed like it was only a matter of time before the competition followed suit. Automotive News says that the next-gen trucks will launch with aluminum beds and that it will take a couple of years before we'll see any carbon fiber incorporated into the design. Even then, only look for the composite material on higher-trim models, with a trickle down to lower-spec trucks possible further in the future. In 2011, GM announced it was working with Japan-based Teijin Limited on a carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic. There's a good chance that material's introduction will be on trucks.
