Up for bid is my wifes 2004 GMC Envoy SLT. We bought this SUV, 5 yrs ago in Texas and other than some surface rust on the frame, it is rust free. This one has all the bells and whistles, including, child proof rear door locks, OnStar equipped, power adjustable pedals, built in garage door opener, and remote start. The tires on it have approx. 10,000 miles on them. The brakes including drums and rotors were replaced 5,000 miles ago. It runs and drives like new. Current mileage is 125,995. The only downside to this Envoy is, the drivers side seat is cracked and worn, and the clearcoat is peeling in a couple of spots. It was like this when we bought it, and it doesn't seem to have gotten any worse. Other than this, it needs nothing to provide many more years of dependability. I wouldn't be afraid to jump in it, and drive to the west coast and back. There is a low reserve set, because we can't afford to give it away. Clear title in hand. GM expected to debut two new crossovers at Detroit Auto Show
Thu, Dec 15 2016Next month, General Motors is expected to debut two new crossovers at the North American International Auto Show. That's according to Automotive News and The Wall Street Journal, which reports that the successors to the aging Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Terrain will finally make their debut. The two crossovers have been on sale since 2009 and 2010 respectively and are due for updates as the competition has newer models on the market. Both crossovers play in growing market segments where sales success is crucial for the respective brands. GM, and the automotive industry as a whole, has been shifting its focus towards crossovers in the last few years. The Traverse and the Terrain are some of the oldest SUVs on the market and are in dire need of an update. GMC's Acadia, the former corporate clone to the Traverse (and Buick Acadia), switched to a new platform in 2016. And the Terrain's platform-mate, the Chevrolet Equinox, was revealed a few months ago. Both the new Chevy and GMC models are expected to go on sale late in 2017 as 2018 models. Look for a follow up to the Traverse's sister, the Buick Enclave, to make an appearance soon. GM recalls 51k Enclave, Traverse, Acadia crossovers over fuel gauge inaccuracy
Mon, 05 May 2014With all eyes fixed on General Motors in the wake of the ignition recall debacle, the auto giant has been carefully calling in a wide array of vehicles to fix anything and everything that could prove problematic. Just the other day it issued two separate recalls - one concerning the Cadillac SRX and another its heavy-duty pickups - and now it is issuing another.
This time the vehicles in question are the Buick Enclave, Chevy Traverse and GMC Acadia, three fullsize crossovers based on GM's Lambda platform. In an estimated 51,640 units manufactured between March 26 and August 15, 2013, the engine control module has been found to incorrectly display the level of fuel in the tank.
As a result, owners are being notified to bring their vehicles in to their local dealers to have the ECU reflashed to fix the problem. View the full details in the announcement below from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
