2011 GMC YUKON 4X4
This is a very nice Yukon, Never wrecked, Never smoked in. I've added the 22" custom black and chrome wheels, there are a couple of places with curb rash on the wheels, very minimal, and have been touched up and are barely noticeable because of the black, the tires are in excellent condition with approx. 80% or better tread left, I do not have the original wheels/tires still. I also added the custom black wire-mesh grill, and tinted the front driver and passenger side windows dark to match the back windows. I believe most of the options on the Yukon are standard, but to name a few, it has back-up camera, heated front and second row (except middle) seats, power windows, locks, cruise, stereo controls on the steering wheel, CD, power folding second row seats, 7 passenger-second row bench seat, tow package, any other options you are curious about feel free to contact me. The exterior is pearl white with minimal wear and tear, typical of mileage, the interior is black leather and is in excellent condition nothing to note, carpets and seats are excellent. This is a very nice vehicle, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it, it's just been serviced, oil change etc, and has been regularly. Mechanically it has the GMC power train warranty until 100,000 miles.
I live in Twin Falls Idaho, the closest airports are Boise (120 miles) and Salt Lake City (250 miles) and I'd be happy to meet any buyer at either for pickup. It is also listed on two local classified on-line sites for sale, and I reserve the right to end the auction early.

2015 Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra can tow up to 12,000 pounds
Thu, 19 Jun 2014Think back to the launch of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado. At the time, General Motors happily trumpeted that its fullsize pickup could tow up to 11,500 pounds when properly equipped - impressive stuff, no doubt. But now, revised tow rating practices have been put into place, called SAE J2807. And with these new methods of testing, GM can now officially rate both the Silverado and its GMC Sierra twin as being able to tow up to 12,000 pounds.
Of course, not all Silverado and Sierra models are capable of this feat. In fact, because of SAE J2807, most of the truck models have actually had decreases in tow ratings from the 2014 to 2015 model year. For example, a 2014 Silverado Crew Cab with the 5.3-liter V8, 5.7-foot box and 3.73 rear axle was rated at 11,200 pounds in 2014, but has since been reduced to 10,800 in 2015. Same goes for the Sierra.
But for 2015, both the Silverado and Sierra can be had with a more powerful 6.2-liter V8, as well as a Max Trailering Package that includes a 9.76-inch rear axle, heavy-duty rear springs, revised shock tuning, improved cooling and a new trailer brake controller. There are also four- and seven-pin, bumper-mounted connectors, a trailer hitch (duh), and a G80 locking rear differential. This configuration, with either model, is the only way you can actually tow 12,000 pounds.
Roadkill pits every project car against each other
Sat, 22 Feb 2014The guys behind Motor Trend's monthly Roadkill series have collected nine of their favorite project cars from their videos and pitted them against each other in a battle royale to determine a winner. It's 44 minutes long, but it's completely worth the investment of time.
The cars run the gamut from a 1973 Chevrolet Ramp Truck, a 1975 AMC Pacer and a legitimately impressive 1967 Chevy Camaro, and they are pitted against each other to see which is the fastest around an autocross course. The drivers include Roadkill's two hosts and Motor Trend's Johnny Lieberman and Carlos Lago. It's reminiscent of the best episodes of Top Gear and worth a watch.
So it's the weekend - the perfect time to relax. Grab your preferred beverage, get comfortable and enjoy 44 minutes of some seriously ratty but utterly cool project cars as they are throttled within an inch of their lives (or past it). Scroll down to check out the video.
GMC SIerra Denali is ready to live the high life
Wed, 29 May 2013Between the information for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado High Country and the accidently leaked picture on GMC's consumer site, it didn't take much imagination to envision what the 2014 GMC Sierra Denali would be like. But here it is. Going on sale this fall, the 2014 Sierra Denali will continue to be the most luxurious pickup truck in the General Motors portfolio, while getting more power and technology than ever before.
Like previous models, the 2014 Sierra Denali stands out from lower Sierra models with a big cheese-grater chrome grille, 20-inch chrome wheels and body-color bumpers. Inside, the Denali gets plenty of leather with contrasting stitching, but this is where GMC really steps up from the Silverado High Country with real aluminum trim and a new customizable eight-inch driver display in the gauge cluster. Standard features will include heated and cooled front bucket seats, the Intellilink infotainment system with Bose audio, while the options list offers a Driver Alert Package (with forward collision alert and lane departure warning), a rear-seat entertainment system and a Z71 Off-Road Package.
As for power, the standard engine will be the 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 with its 355 horsepower, and the optional engine will be the new 6.2-liter V8. Although official power figures for the bigger engine aren't in yet, GM is finally putting some estimates on paper expecting around 420 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque to go with a 12,000-pound towing capacity.
