You are looking at a 1993 GMC Yukon GT with a fuel injected 350 cu in (5.7litre) engine, a 4L60 4 speed automatic transmission and 3.73 gear ratio.  It is my current daily driver.  It has 118,240 miles ( this may increase slightly due to daily usage until Wednesday ).  The truck runs good.  It has the following factory options... Power steering, brakes, door locks, drivers seat, windows and mirrors, air conditioning, cruise control.  All equipment is functional except the rear window wiper, drivers vanity mirror lights and trip odometer.  The interior is in good shape for a 20 year old vehicle.  The dash has a hairline crack thats hardly noticeable. The center console door lock is missing.  The carpet could use a cleaning.  The truck comes with a custom installed XM satellite receiver (subscription required) and has a wire to the center console for use with an iPod. It has remote start and a Viper alarm system.  The body has some rust / rust holes on both lower quarter panels in front of the rear wheels and on the sill plates under both doors. (see photos).  The clear coat is peeling on the tail gate and on both right side wheel flares. Theres a small section of the roof where the paint doesn't shine. Besides that the body has all the normal signs of a 20 year old truck that has not been restored and driven daily... some chips, a couple dings but overall in nice shape for its age.

The following has been done in the past year....
New inner & outer tie rods and sleeves,  pitman arm,  front and rear brakes,  resurfaced front rotors,  replaced calipers and rubber brake lines,  replaced rear drums,  replaced master cylinder,  replace U joints, 4 new tires,  rebuilt throttle body,  replaced water pump & fan clutch,  belt, tensioner, radiator hoses,  muffler,  tail pipe, cap,  rotor,  wires.

I've included everything I can think of but I may have missed something so, feel free to ask questions, but please do so before you bid.  If you are in the NY area feel free to come inspect the truck, or hire a independent inspector to do so.
This vehicle is being sold as is where is. There is no warranty expressed written or implied. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. A $500.00 non refundable deposit is due at the end of auction.
This vehicle is also for sale locally I reserve the right to end the auction early

Surprise! GM putting aluminum in next-gen pickups

Wed, Aug 5 2015

Last month, General Motors launched a series of ads touting the benefits of steel over aluminum – specifically, with regard to the Chevy Silverado versus the Ford F-150. (Kind of. We're not sure what a grizzly bear has to do with anything.) We took issue with the ads, with editor in chief Mike Austin saying they "reek of insecurity, and distract from the Silverado's strengths that could be used for positive advertising." But what bothers us more, is that yet another report surfaced claiming anti-aluminum GM will indeed use the weight-saving material in its next-generation fullsize trucks. On Tuesday, GM announced a $877-million investment for its truck plant in Flint, MI. But Reuters says that huge overhaul is because the trucks will use "substantially different equipment than the tools GM uses today." The report specifically states, "People familiar with the company's plans say GM's next-generation pickups and SUVs will make use of various materials, including aluminum and lightweight steel, to shed weight and gain fuel efficiency to meet tougher federal standards." The Silverado already uses a few aluminum components in the engine and hood, and if more widespread use will help GM build its best fullsize trucks ever, then that's great. Honestly, we have no reason to doubt that aluminum will be used in the next Silverado and GMC Sierra. We just hope GM remembers that nothing is ever truly deleted from the bowels of the Internet when it launches the subsequent "look how great aluminum is!" campaign. Hummer EV to be sold at only about half of GMC dealerships

Mon, Oct 26 2020

The new 1,000-horsepower Hummer EV will be sold under the GMC brand, but you won't find it in every GMC showroom. Currently, just about half of GMC's dealers have agreed to take on the electric truck, Buick GMC VP Duncan Aldred told investors on a conference call last week. According to Muscle Cars and Trucks, there are a number of reasons for the irregular availability. For one, there's the cost of upgrading dealerships to sell and service a fully electric vehicle. Stores would need to be upgraded with charging stations, and service centers would require new tools and training to work on an EV. Then there's the customer experience. At $112,595, the initial Hummer EV Edition 1 caters to a different clientele than the traditional GMC truck. The planned EV3X trim level that arrives in late 2022 and EV2X arriving in spring 2023 will start at just below $100,000 and $90,000, respectively. Some sellers believe that customers paying six figures for a vehicle will expect certain niceties that will necessitate showroom upgrades as well. Complimentary doughnuts, at least. Furthermore, not all GMC dealerships are located in areas with customers willing to shell out that much cabbage for a new vehicle, especially an EV. An $80,000 base trim will be available in 2024, so perhaps more dealers will be willing to take on the truck by then. Finally, there's the Hummer EV's no-haggle pricing. Aldred was adamant on the call that customers see the same price on the internet as they do on the paperwork. It's part of the premium dealership experience that GMC wants to provide for its well-heeled clientele. Still, GMC appears to have no problem moving all the Hummer EVs it can build. Even with its lofty price tag, all Edition 1 trucks were sold out 10 minutes after GMC's announcement. Related Video:

GM planning to put its fullsize pickups on a big diet, too

Fri, 19 Jul 2013

General Motors is just coming off a complete redesign of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra for 2014, but in the US fullsize truck market, there is no rest for the weary. According to Reuters, plans are already unfurling for both trucks to drop pounds from their curb weight over the next few years, but this will unlikely be able to keep pace with the 700-pound diet targeted for the next-generation Ford F-150, a truck expected to debut late next year.
The biggest weight reduction for these trucks might not be available until the next full redesign, which will likely happen around 2019, but the article says that smaller updates could shave pounds in the meantime. Two examples given include an "aluminum-intensive" version of the Silverado that could shed 250 pounds and debut around the same time as the lighter-weight, aluminum-bodied 2015 Ford, and there is also talk of reducing weight for driveline components such as axles and driveshafts. These changes are all part of an attempt to meet strict new fuel economy standards coming in 2017, targets which will get even tougher in 2025.
