1991 Gmc Syclone on 2040-cars

1991 GMC Syclone 67,336 miles. Two owner vehicle. Same owner since 11/26/1993. All factory paint with the exception of the lower portion of the drivers door. When I first got the truck I color sanded and rubbed out the paint. It turned out I was a little too aggressive on the drivers door and had to repaint the lower portion. The cladding HAS NOT been painted or coated with silicone, just heavily waxed. If you wish to return to the flat look you only have to remove the wax. The original GM radio is down to one speaker, but you can still listen to it and I did not want to put in an after market radio. The original Syclone decals on the doors and tailgate have been replaced with 14kt spun gold decals but I have new red ones if you wish to replace them. I could find no evidence that it ever said GMC truck on the tailgate. Other deviations from stock are: Flowmaster mufflers and Continental touring CH95 tires 255/55/16. Same diameter as the Firehawks, different aspect ratio,day and night difference in the ride. Even though the tires look brand new they are 13 years old and should be replaced anyway. The truck has only been driven 5,000 miles in the last 12 years. So it has occurred to me that I don’t need it any more. I have all books, records and keys. GM to unveil new SUVs at the State Fair of Texas?
Wed, 07 Aug 2013With General Motors just having rolled out its new fullsize truck twins - the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra - for 2014, now it seems to be time to focus on its big SUVs. The Truth About Cars is reporting that the 2015 Chevy Tahoe/Suburban and 2015 GMC Yukon lineup will be making their debuts later next month at the State Fair of Texas, which kicks off on September 27.
To date, we've only seen spy shots of the new Chevy and GMC SUVs (shown above in Yukon XL guise). Based on those spies both trucks seem to be taking a different styling direction than their pickup truck counterparts - just check out the Ford-looking headlight design on the next-gen Chevys.
We reached out to GM for comment and heard back simply that there is no official announcement about the new Tahoe, Suburban and Yukon. Still, the report definitely makes a solid leap of logic, as Texas is a top market for GM's fullsize SUV lineup. It also appears that GM is still planning a separate launch for the next-gen Cadillac Escalade.
Chevy Trax engineer says GMC version possible
Mon, Dec 8 2014The Buick Encore is doing so well and its platform-mate the Chevrolet Trax has such good reviewer vibes going for it already, that a GMC version hasn't been ruled out. During the recent press launch, Automotive News asked lead engineer Al Manzor if the Trax could wear a GMC-branded suit, to which Manzor replied, "I think that is certainly possible." That's a long way from telling us anything about the probability of a GMC version of the Trax, and a legion of questions would need to be answered before it could happen. How would a GMC version be priced to leave room for the $26,465 GMC Terrain but not eat into sales of the $20,995 Trax or the $24,035 Encore? Or would that matter? Could it primarily be considered to encourage a new faction of The Yukon Set at the compact end, GMC buyers being famously committed to the marque? And of course, would there be a Denali version? It'll probably be a long while before we have any kind of answers, but if you want to see it happen, the door to your campaign of persuasion is at least ajar.
2015 GMC Canyon Nightfall Edition rumbles in under the radar
Tue, Jan 13 2015Buyers enticed by the new 2015 GMC Canyon will want to take a look at the new Nightfall Edition. Unveiled here on the floor of the 2015 Detroit Auto Show, the Nightfall is based on the mid-level SLE trim level in four-door crew cab bodystyle, but upgrades with a stealthy appearance and bundled extras. It's decked out in Onyx Black paint, for starters, but also has a blacked-out grille and side steps, a spray-in bedliner and 18-inch wheels with darkened inserts, as well as a polished exhaust tip, remote start and automatic climate control fitted as standard. The only choice left up to the buyer of this murdered-out mid-size pickup is whether to get it in 2WD or 4WD. Either way, motivation is provided by the Canyon's 3.6-liter V6 with its 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. Pricing has yet to be announced, but considering that the SLE on which it's based starts at $30,980 and that the SLT comes in at $34,345, we'd expect the Nightfall to be positioned in the low 30s, with another few grand for four-wheel drive.
