1999 Gmc Suburban 2500 With 6.5 Diesel And 106,000 Miles on 2040-cars
Clinton, Tennessee, United States
1999 GMC Suburban 2500 4 X 4 6.5 Turbo Diesel truck with 106,500 miles. I am the second owner with this originally being a EMT Supervisor's vehicle in Ohio. It had some rust at bottom of doors so I changed the doors, front fenders and inner and outer rear fenders before repainting the truck. I have owned it for a couple of years and put in new NAPA extra strength batteries and new FALKEN RV radial LT265/75R16 M&S tires on 8 lug wheels. It also has a full sized new spare. I have also changed the PMD, crank sensor, master brake cylinder, rear brake line and in line booster fuel pump. The truck has cloth seats with vinyl floor, am/fm radio. I just noticed that the threshold of the front passenger seat has rust blisters, also a plastic trim piece at the floor by the rear door is missing, and the former owner has cut away some of the vinyl on the rear deck behind the passenger seat (about 2" X 20" I guess where they had some equipment mounted.) This truck has a smooth ride and runs and pulls well. It has a receiver hitch in the rear and a receiver hitch in the front where I think they had a winch mounted. I was thinking of switching over to all diesel but now am staying with gas vehicles so I am selling this truck. This truck is for local pick up but I will work with you if you are shipping it, and I will take payment through Paypal. It is also for sale locally and I will cancel the sale if sold locally.

GM to unveil new SUVs at the State Fair of Texas?
Wed, 07 Aug 2013With General Motors just having rolled out its new fullsize truck twins - the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra - for 2014, now it seems to be time to focus on its big SUVs. The Truth About Cars is reporting that the 2015 Chevy Tahoe/Suburban and 2015 GMC Yukon lineup will be making their debuts later next month at the State Fair of Texas, which kicks off on September 27.
To date, we've only seen spy shots of the new Chevy and GMC SUVs (shown above in Yukon XL guise). Based on those spies both trucks seem to be taking a different styling direction than their pickup truck counterparts - just check out the Ford-looking headlight design on the next-gen Chevys.
We reached out to GM for comment and heard back simply that there is no official announcement about the new Tahoe, Suburban and Yukon. Still, the report definitely makes a solid leap of logic, as Texas is a top market for GM's fullsize SUV lineup. It also appears that GM is still planning a separate launch for the next-gen Cadillac Escalade.
GM recalling 8.4M cars, 8.2M related to ignition problems
Mon, 30 Jun 2014General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco.
For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down:
7,610,862 vehicles in North America being recalled for unintended ignition key rotation. 6,805,679 are in the United States.
Driving the Panamera and Mike's Rant | Autoblog Podcast #487
Thu, Sep 8 2016This week we cover some recent news like the upcoming Land Rover Discovery, updates to FCA's large car platform (including the Challenger), and talk about water injection. Then we go into what we've been driving - David just finished his time in the Porsche Panamera Turbo and Mike tried the GMC Acadia. And then Mike (who is still uncomfortable writing in the third person) goes on a rant about why automakers shouldn't specify which cars are aimed at women. The rundown is below. Remember, if you have a car-related question you'd like us to answer or you want questionable buying advice, send a message or a voice memo to podcast at autoblog dot com.
