I hate to do it, but I am putting up my extremely clean 97 suburban for sale. I have always been a fan of this body style and jumped on this one when I first found it. My wife and I just had another child and I just can't justify this this vehicle setting in the garage all of the time not getting used. This was an extra vehicle it's whole life and it shows. The interior is flawless, the exterior is near perfect as well. there is one small ding on the passenger door and some small scratches that can be buffed out if desired. The paint shines like new and the suburban rides like new, the door seals are all great and the ride is super quite. The cruise control works great and all of the controls and switches even look new. This thing was babied!
The maintenance has been done. The usual transmission has been replaced within the last 5000 miles. The shocks are new, along with the tires. Both differentials have been checked and new fluids swapped along with the tranny and transfer case. The push button 4 wheel drive works awesome! Front and rear heat and air works flawlessly as well and the engine compartment looks like it did when rolled off the assembly line. The only bad thing about this suburban is that the previous owner hit a deer at low speed and it cracked the chrome grille surround on the front grille. You will be hard pressed to find one as nice, 141,996 miles and and a whole lot left in her. Please feel free to fly in and drive home, no problem. GM files for Z71 Trail Boss trademark
Mon, Jan 26 2015Try as they might to keep their plans a secret, automakers have their hands tipped through a variety of methods – be they through loose lips, spy shots or patent and trademark applications. That's how we know, in this instance, that General Motors is working on (or at least considering) an off-road machine wearing the name Z71 Trail Boss – the name which our compatriots at AutoGuide.com tell us that GM has registered for use on light-duty trucks. Now if that alphanumeric designator sounds familiar, it should. GM has long used it to designate the off-road packages on many of its body-on-frame trucks from Chevy and GMC. These days you can order a Z71 package on the Chevy Colorado, Silverado, Tahoe and Suburban and on the GMC Canyon, Sierra and Yukon. The package typically includes components like a beefed-up suspension bits, high-capacity air cleaner and underbody protection plates. The Trail Boss designator would seem to suggest something further reaching than a suspension package, though. Just what it would entail we don't know; minds immediately start running toward Chevy or GMC going after the Ford F-150 Raptor, but we'll likely be looking at something closer to the Trailhawk packages Jeep offers on the likes of the Renegade and Cherokee. J.D. Power customer survey of dealers counts Cadillac, Buick as big winners
Mon, 14 Apr 2014Cadillac and Buick have taken the trophies in J.D. Power's latest Customer Service Index Study examining satisfaction with dealer service. Surveying more than 90,000 owners and lessees of 2009-2013 model-year cars, the study found that those with pre-paid maintenance packages were ten percent more likely to buy their next car from the same brand.
Dealer satisfaction scores have improved overall, Cadillac nabbed the luxury segment ahead of Audi and Lexus, taking the crown that Lexus held last year. Buick keeps the mass-market dealer satisfaction win in the family, finishing ahead of Volkswagen and last year's winner GMC. The study also found that service department use of tablets increased customer satisfaction, as did "best practices" like "providing helpful advice." Who knew?
