Up for sale is my 2000 GMC Sonoma. Has about 85,200 miles on it currently and is my daily driver. It has a Chevrolet S10 front clip. The truck was repainted about 3 years ago original victory red. It has a lockable bed cap with the tail gate handle relocated to the inside and a roll pan installed. The truck was dropped two inches all the way around and sits on chrome 16" IROC clone wheels. The engine is a tune port injected 350, bored 30 over. MSD ignition, 40 series flowmaster exhaust, K&N cold air intake, 700r4 streetfighter transmission with a summit shift kit. The throttle body also has air foil, chevy red cover plate, and much more. Rear gears are 342.
Inside, the truck has black/charcoal cloth interior. The headliner and dash are wrapped in charcoal black speaker box carpet. It has carbon fiber autometer gauges. Speedometer, tachometer, oil, battery, fuel, and temperature. It has a floor shifter with a key lock built in to lock it in park. Also has an overhead console from a Chevrolet Blazer and a custom center console. The factory radio is modded to hook up anything with a 3.5mm audio jack. This is a very reliable truck and has never let me down. I've had it since 3,000 miles. The check engine light flashes on every once in a while and goes off--was told it is a bad O2 sensor. There is also a crack in the body kit underneath the drivers door, maybe 14" long, that is hardly noticeable because of where it is. I just recently replaced the fuel pump and also have a brand new spare one that comes with it. It comes with a set of twin exhausts with chrome bow tie tips that I got from a guy off craigslist with an s10 and 350 swap (flowmaster, I think) that are ready to be bolted on that I never got around to installing. The 40 series flowmaster that is on there now broke off about a foot and a half from the end, after the muffler and the last hanger. Sound or performance is not affected. Was going to replace, but I am not a fan of the bow tie tips on the other set and I don't have the time. Comes with OEM rear bumper, as well. I just replaced the shocks all the way around about two weeks ago using Belltech Nitro Drop 2 shocks. Like I said, this is my daily driver and is very reliable, quick, and definitely a head turner. I will more than likely put on a new set of brake pads before sale. This is all I can think of, I'm sure missing something, so come see it for yourself. It's a very clean and good looking truck. No major dents, dings, or scratches and a non-smoker truck. I don't want to get rid of it but need to get something bigger that I can put car seats in. My number is 443.929.4041, if you have any questions (call or text). Will consider reasonable offers. Ask for Joe or leave a message and I'll get back to you. Truck is also locally for sale. $500 deposit via Paypal or cash due within 48 hours of purchase. Remaining balance due within 7 days. |

Sunday Drive: An automotive flavor for every taste
Sun, Feb 25 2018Last week was flush with interesting new vehicle debuts, led by the new 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe. This crossover is entering straight into the heart of one of the world's most competitive automotive segments, and it's doing so with a fresh sense of style and a brace of new technologies. Our readers are clearly intrigued – the Santa Fe was the biggest news story of the last week on these online pages. It's fitting that a crossover generated a lot more interest than a traditional wagon, though we don't really have to be happy about it. Still, the completely new, fully redesigned Volvo V60 is worth taking another look at. First of all, it's pretty, in a traditionally Scandinavian way. Second, it's quick, with a 0-60 time of as little as 4.8 seconds. And finally, it's practical, with all kinds of room for cargo without the dynamic penalties of an unnecessary lift kit. Moving on from new vehicle debuts, we took another long look at the Honda Ridgeline. It's definitely a non-conformist pickup truck, based not on a body-on-frame platform but on a more carlike unibody design. That means it can't tow as much as some other trucks, but it also means the Ridgeline drives better than any of its more truckish competitors. It's the Swiss army knife of pickup trucks. Rounding out our coverage from last week are three sets of spy photos, each showing the interior of a hotly anticipated new model. One is a truck, one is a crossover, and the last is a sportscar. All of them are worth another look. As always, stay tuned to Autoblog this week for all the most important news in the automotive world. 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe unveiled 2019 Volvo V60 | Sleek, swift new twist on the Swedish wagon 2018 Honda Ridgeline | Pocketknife pickup is up for anything 2019 GMC Sierra interior looks just like the Silverado's 2019 Cadillac XT4 interior has actual buttons, no more touch-sensitive panel 2020 Porsche 911 992 spy shots show interior and manual transmission Cadillac GMC Honda Hyundai Porsche Volvo Truck Crossover Wagon Luxury Performance Sedan hyundai santa fe
GMC to get own model not shared with Chevy?
Mon, 20 Jan 2014For years, GMC has existed as a brand without a single unique product, reconstituting Chevrolet trucks, SUVs and crossovers with more frosting in exchange for a few extra dollars. The Sierra is a Silverado, the Acadia a Traverse, and the Terrain an Equinox, although admittedly the latter pair are visually differentiated to a significant degree.
GMC could be set to expand beyond its Chevy-based roots, though. During last week's Detroit Auto Show press days, GM's product boss Mark Reuss was asked whether there'd ever be a GMC that wasn't taken from Chevy. "Oh, yes, you will," Reuss told the media. "The health of GMC is astonishingly good from a consideration standpoint." Reuss wouldn't elaborate on what the model could be, although we're quite happy to make some guesses. GMC has its bases fairly well covered, with a mid-size and full-size crossover, as well as a mid-size, full-size and HD pickup. We doubt GMC will be building a family sedan, sports car, or hatchback, so really, the only place we can see the brand going is into a smaller crossover.
Automotive News points out that the most recent small GMC showcar, the 2010 Granite concept (shown above), won't see production according to General Motors. That vehicle likely would have rode on GM's compact vehicle architecture, known internally as Gamma II, which underpins the Chevy Spark and Sonic, as well as the Buick Encore (and its overseas Opel/Vauxhall/Chevy counterparts).
Best car infotainment systems: From UConnect to MBUX, these are our favorites
Sun, Jan 7 2024Declaring one infotainment system the best over any other is an inherently subjective matter. You can look at quantitative testing for things like input response time and various screen load times, but ask a room full of people that have tried all car infotainment systems what their favorite is, and you’re likely to get a lot of different responses. For the most part, the various infotainment systems available all share a similar purpose. They aim to help the driver get where they're going with navigation, play their favorite tunes via all sorts of media playback options and allow folks to stay connected with others via phone connectivity. Of course, most go way beyond the basics these days and offer features like streaming services, in-car performance data and much more. Unique features are aplenty when you start diving through menus, but how they go about their most important tasks vary widely. Some of our editors prefer systems that are exclusively touch-based and chock full of boundary-pushing features. Others may prefer a back-to-basics non-touch system that is navigable via a scroll wheel. You can compare it to the phone operating system wars. Just like some prefer Android phones over iPhones, we all have our own opinions for what makes up the best infotainment interface. All that said, our combined experience tells us that a number of infotainment systems are at least better than the rest. WeÂ’ve narrowed it down to five total systems in their own subcategories that stand out to us. Read on below to see our picks, and feel free to make your own arguments in the comments. Best infotainment overall: UConnect 5, various Stellantis products Ram 1500 Uconnect Infotainment System Review If thereÂ’s one infotainment system that all of us agree is excellent, itÂ’s UConnect. It has numerous qualities that make it great, but above all else, UConnect is simple and straightforward to use. Ease of operation is one of the most (if not the single most) vital parts of any infotainment system interface. If youÂ’re expected to be able to tap away on a touchscreen while driving and still pay attention to the road, a complex infotainment system is going to remove your attention from the number one task at hand: driving. UConnect uses a simple interface that puts all of your key functions in a clearly-represented row on the bottom of the screen. Tap any of them, and it instantly pulls up that menu.
