1995 Gmc Slt 3500 1-ton Welding Rig on 2040-cars

US $7,850.00
Year:1994 Mileage:233000
Location:

1994 GMC SLT 3500 Dually Extended cab. 2WD, 6.5L TD, A/T, cold A/C, Heat, dual batteries, electronic injector pump. Thousands in Brand NEW parts over the past three years. READY TO WORK, needs NOTHING but a driver and diesel--and it comes with a FULL tank of fresh diesel!
This is MY PERSONAL WORK TRUCK. This is a great work truck; uncommonly clean for it's year, new load range E tires, nice lines, good looking, well-maintained rig. Brand new everything mechanical, kept up with everything, just inspected, just passed, just registered--you won't have to do anything but pay for it, insure it and put it to work.   The Texas title is in my name.  The truck does have a full size spare, mounted under the bed in the stock location.  I have all the jack components, a bottle jack and OEM accessories that will come with the truck.

New or recent:  Gas Tank, lift pump, electric injector pump, injectors (all), line, hoses, coolant flush, batteries, (dual), starter.
Two sets of keys for ignition and all the locks on the chassis--which are included. So is the Wilton Vise.
Trailer brakes, electric hook-ups for 5, 6 and seven-pin connectors. Gooseneck is on 1/2" plate tied into the frame of the bed. The bumper hitch 2" receiver is a class III/grade 10 hardware with dual-sided fillet welds.
You will not be disappointed. I have 200 hours+ in a custom made / modified 8' CM bed, with tank recesses, easy-lift gated / lockable tank access, (made so you only have to lift your tanks about 10 inches up).  The bed has tank locking chains, and are all double chain / tension secured.  LED lights throughout, RKI boxes--you name it, this is a very nice work truck. Has room in the RKI boxes for 20+ HD 100' extension cords, 300' of 02 ought lead(s), All your welding tools, cutting torches, line and regulators, 12T bottle jack and lug wrenches and as much rod, wire & gear as you can pack in. You can sleep in the back seat because you really don't need to put anything inside the truck--there is PLENTY of storage. I kept my Miller high output box in the truck for easy access.
On the bed itself, there is plenty of illumination, both for work and on the highway. The diamond plate 1/8" steel deck is in PERFECT Condition.  There is also Fresh reflective tape all around.

Suspension is an Air Ride, and it is set up independently, so that you can adjust your ride according to your weight on one side or the other.  The bed is 92" wide and 8' long.
You will be impressed with the quality and workmanship of every single welded joint in the bed.

No Rust.  Not anywhere, in the cab, chassis or the bed.  This truck is in EXCELLENT condition.  This is a Texas truck, in my name, currently registered and driven every day.
This is a great truck, but I came into a nice '01 4x4 Crew Cab Duramax Diesel that I couldn't pass up for the price. I am NOT selling any of my welding equipment on the bed of the truck in the pictures EXCEPT THE vise, and I'm only selling that because I don't want anyone to have big holes at the back and not be able to get another vise with the same base--you won't find another Wilton like this for sale, anywhere, it has an 8" throat and is in near PRISTINE condition.
The truck is located at our home in Harker Heights, TX, about 9 minutes East of the Fort Hood Main Gate, 14 miles West of I-35 in Temple, TX, 55 minutes NNE of Austin, TX and 4.5 hours SSW of Dallas Fort Worth.
I will pick you up at the Killeen Airport and you can drive the truck to Bismark if you want. You won't have ANY issues with my truck.
TEXT or Voice call with your questions, or ask through E-Bay corrospondence.  I would prefer Pay Pal or Cash in person.  $500.00 non-refundable deposit due within 24 hrs of sale.  Thanks.

***19JAN2014  2030 hrs**** These questions have been asked by interested parties.  I am answering them  all here for everyone's benefit:

Q:  Does the truck have good glow plugs?

A:  The truck had all glow plugs replaced 560 miles ago.  At that time all the injectors were also replaced.  I elected to buy the complete system maintenance package; all glow plugs, injectors, pump and pressure lines.

Q: Does the truck have any known maintenance issues?

A:  No, it's solid.  Recent maintenance was the entire front end was checked, aligned and new tires mounted and balanced.  The truck is hard to start on cold(er) mornings where the temp gets into the low 40's and below.  It DOES have a block heater installed and it IS operational; which makes cold morning starting easy.  Without it plugged in, below 45, she is a hard starting truck.

Q:  What gears are in the rear differential?

A:  Gear ratio is 4:56 gears.  That translates to a top speed of 65 mph under load.  She can pull anything you hook up to her.

Q: Is there any white smoke on cold-start?

A: Yes, there is a little, typical of a 6.5 TD with 233K miles, but no more than my '01 on cold start.

Q: Does the truck use any oil?

A: Yes, about 1/4 quart every 500 miles

Q:  Will you take a cash offer in person?

A:  Yes, check "Cars and Trucks," Craigslist, Killeen, TX, check search box "entire post," and enter "Welding Rig."  You will find my truck for sale locally with many more pictures.

Q:  Can the truck be ready to sell / picked up immediately?

A:  Yes.  I am a welder.  I have all the heavy equipment necessary to remove the equipment off the truck and have it ready for you immediately.  I meant what I said when I wrote:  "I will pick you up at the airport."  I will have, in the truck, 3 quarts of 15-40W oil and it will be full of gas.  That will get you to California or New York City.  The title is a Texas Title, in my name.  You can write in what you want on a Bill of Sale that will be placed in your hand at the airport.  I will do whatever I can to make the transition easy for you.  My truck deserves a good home.  It got me started and it got me a great job.  It will do the same for you.

GM delivers best Q3 sales since 1980, 2.4M vehicles sold

Wed, 15 Oct 2014

People are a weird sort. Even after registering over 70 recalls through the first three-quarters of 2014, General Motors saw its best Q3 results since Jimmy Carter was in the White House, registering over 2.4 million global sales between June and September on the back of strong results in the US and China.
US sales were marshaled by good results for GM's pickups, the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, which bumped the manufacturer's truck market share to 35.6 percent, up nearly three points from Q1 2014. Buick has seen healthy growth as well, with the Encore dominating its segment for the sixth month running.
It was China, though, that really bolstered GM's sales, as the company's efforts to top last year's record-setting 3.16 million units continued apace. Small SUV sales saw massive growth, with Encore, Chevrolet Trax and Captiva figures jumping 90 percent in Q3. Brand-wise, Chevrolet, Cadillac and Buick all saw sales gains in the PRC, with each recording double-digit year-over-year jumps. Cadillac sales alone were up 63 percent compared to the first nine months of 2013.

2017 GMC Model Year Preview and Updates

Wed, Mar 1 2017

GM's 'professional grade' truck and SUV specialist continues to deliver its utility-with-luxury vibe, optimized in the all-new Acadia, relatively new Canyon and continual updates to its Sierra pickups and Yukon SUVs. GMC ACADIA: An all-new Acadia - pictured above - is aimed at the heart of the midsize segment. In an unusual step, the GMC product team downsized the Acadia, dropping 700 pounds from the earlier platform in the process. The new crossover is available in four trims – SL, SLE, SLT and Denali – and an offroad-oriented All Terrain package is available on both SLE and SLT when equipped with all-wheel drive. For young families, GMC introduces the industry-first Rear Seat Reminder, a prompt which will remind the driver to check the rear seat area before leaving and locking the vehicle. CANYON: The midsize pickup introduces two new variants for 2017. The upmarket Denali adds swag – unique chrome grille, 20-inch aluminum wheels and various interior upgrades – to its swagger, while the All Terrain X provides the adventure traveler with all-terrain tires, off-road suspension, Hill Descent Control and all-weather floor liners. SIERRA: The Sierra's maximum trailer tow rating of 12,500 pounds is the best in the full-size, crew cab segment. New features include Teen Driver, active aero shutters on all models and available tri-mode power steps. Also, GMC adds two new colors to the palette: Dark Slate Metallic and Pepperdust Metallic. SIERRA HD: The big news is the addition of the All Terrain X to GMC's heavy duty lineup. With an offroad-specific footprint provided by its 18-inch aluminum wheels and Goodyear Duratrac tires, ground clearance is enhanced by the Z71 off-road suspension, and an Eaton automatic locking differential keeps you rolling. TERRAIN: While the 2018 Terrain awaits its showroom debut, the 2017 Terrain's new Nightfall edition darkens the Terrain vibe. The one new color for 2017 fails to hit a brighter note; it's Graphite Gray Metallic. YUKON/YUKON XL: Perhaps the ultimate Uber capsule, the big/bigger SUV enters 2017 with a host of refinements, including GM's Teen Driver feature, upgrades to rear seat entertainment, available low speed forward automatic braking, active aero shutters for improved efficiency and one new color: Dark Sapphire Blue Metallic. If you're looking to maximize your visual presence, consider the SLT Premium Edition, which ups the chrome content well beyond the commercial minimums.
